Mavi was off for the most part today. She was always on call for her healing duties but she was considering the day off until she was called on. Since she had the day off she decided she would take a walk in the makono-epesi pride lands. Walking the prides lands was a good work out with all the hills so she decided she would walk through the more hilly areas to get some good exercise.
She was making her way up a pretty tall hill now. She was digging her claws into the dirt to get some good traction so her paws wouldn't slip. The climb took her a minute but once she was at the top she smiled at the view. She could see a couple of the race tracks from the top of the hill and all the lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, and hyenas moving about around those tracks. She really loved this pride and was so happy she was apart of it.

She was a racer. Per'roth sat atop a hill looking down on a race going on below her. Racer she might be, but she was barely known. The pale blue cheetahess wanted to win, wanted to hear her race-name chanted by the crowds. But nobody chanted for her now. She flicked her ear irriatedly. No one. Then she'd seen a cheetah and lion walking around together, talking and laughing. Per'roth had observed them for a time and realized the lion was the cheetah's "owner".
She had gone away to think about this for a time. It did make sense. If she had a lion owner then he would cheer for her because he would most certainly want her to win. With a sure fire way to win, she had spread word that she would be looking for an owner and where she could be found. Which was her present location. Her blue and purple coat made her stand out well against the background. She had infact been sitting here all morning. Every time a lion came close she got hopeful he had heard about her search. But nobody came to talk to her. No one.

Mavi was doing a 360 degree view of the pride and really taking in the beauty of the unique pride she was a part of. She couldn't even remember now how she had originally come to be in the pride. She'd been a bit younger and had been eager to find a fun place to call home. When she'd found this place she knew she had found her home and after she'd become part of the pride she had taken an interest in healing. Now she specialized mostly in the health and well being of the racing cheetahs.
She was the lioness they called if something was wrong with one of the racers or the show cheetahs. There was very little she didn't already know about a cheetah and not an injury on a cheetah that she couldn't treat. Though some treatment took longer than others.
While Mavi was taking in the sights she spotted a lone cheetah female sitting by herself not too far away from her. She hadn't been paying attention to her before but now something about her demeanor was really bothering Mavi. She felt compelled to speak to her and make sure she was ok. She stood up and walked over to the cheetah female and as she neared she spoke up. "Excuse me miss? Are you alright?"

Per'roth looked over startled out of her brooding thoughts. She hadn't excepted a lion-ess. Per'roth glanced back to the race to see it end, then looked to the lioness. She had heard of this lioness that others went to for healings. Luckily she hadn't needed that yet.
"I was hoping a lion would be interested in being my owner." She thought she sounded a bit grumpy, even to herself. "I've been waiting here all morning, but no one has even come close to me." Maybe they hadn't because she was so bad at racing, or they didn't like her coat. Though coat colors weren't suppose to matter. Per loved her coat with its racing mark on her hip. It didn't feel awkward telling this lioness what was bothering her.

Mavi smiled at the cheetah as she listened to the cheetah's problem. The cheetah seemed like such a sweet girl and it touched her heart to see her so upset that no one seemed to want to put time into owning her. She had at one time thought about owning a racing cheetah and putting some time into helping that cheetah. She'd had to put that idea off when she had started training in healing and then she'd just never really looked into it after that.
The idea now reentered her mind as she looked at this cheetah female. She was looking for an owner to help her and Mavi was willing to help during her free time. "Would you consider a lioness as an owner?" She asked waiting a moment to let her question sink in before she continued. "I have been thinking about owning a cheetah I just haven't really had the time to go look through the racers to see if anyone would want an owner like me. You're a very lovely cheetah and I've seen you race. You have wonderful potiential. What do you say?"

She knew the reason she wanted an owner was selfish. Per just wanted someone who would cheer for her and no one else. That could be why no one wanted her. So the lioness' question came as something of a surprise. A lioness. Her had to admit that it had been narrow minded of her to consider only male lions. A female lion could just as easily own a cheetah. In fact she was sure she saw some down below her now. Now came in the important question.
"Would you cheer for me?" Per watched the dark lioness from the corner of her eyes. This lioness seemed nice. At the compliment on her coat and her races, she scuffed a paw in the dirt. That was embarrassing. "I haven't won any race I've entered yet," she mumbled without looking at her. Would she still want Per now?

Mavi smiled at the female cheetah's question. She knew from watching the cheetah's races that there wasn't anyone who was really a fan of her just yet so she was sure the cheetah's confidence was down a bit. "Of course I'd be cheering for you." She told her simply. Who wouldn't cheer for their own cheetah after all.
Mavi's ears perked up at her statement about not winning any races and then she gave her a warm rather loving smile. "That is alright. One of the jobs of the owner is to help her racer train properly so she wins every race she enters. You'll get a proper amount of training and wonderful care for your health so your always in top shape when you go for a race. I promise that. I won't ever let you go in to a race unless you are healthy." Mavi smiled at the cheetah and softly nudged her shoulder.

Per'roth was slightly happier when she promised without hesitation to cheer. Lots of peopled cheered at races for their favorite. But when she heard that particular voice, she would know it was for her. That feeling, knowing someone was there for her, rooting for her to do her best that was what she truly wanted.
Her ears perked as she heard about training the lions gave their cheetahs. Was that it? Just having training. The prospect of winning lightened her heart greatly. She had been sick one time when she'd race. That had ended badly. Per'roth regarded the lion with a more open expression.
"Yes. I think you're the owner I've been looking for. My name is Per'roth." She gave a friendly, and happy smile.

Mavi smiled at Per's statement and nodded to her. "I am very glad to hear that. My name is Mavi'Duniani. You can just call me Mavi if you like. It's a pleasure to meet you Per'roth." She replied as she looked down to the race track.
"I'll be honest with you Per'roth. Training and owning a racer is going to be all new to me." She said as she turned her gaze back to Per. "I'm going to get some information from other owners I know about training methods. They're good friends because I watch the health of their cheetahs for them so I'm sure they'll tell about good ways to train."

Izzy Makani Fin unless you want one more post. "Likewise. I'm glad you ran into me" This was better than waiting around for some stupid lion. Per rose to her feet. "I should show you where I den. That way you can find me if you need me." She was hoping the lioness would do the same. Most likely.
"It shall be new for both of us. I've never had anybody to help me before. Or to cheer for me." She added shyly. Per looked eager when she mentioned getting training tips. She was eager to start. "That sounds great Mavi."

Mavi nodded to Per's statement of showing her where her den was and replied. "That would be good and I will show you mine afterward so if you need me you know where I am too."
Mavi was looking forward to getting everything started to get Per started in her training and get her into peek condition to help her win. "Oh yeah. Some of the owners I help they're cheetahs have won a lot of races so they're tips will help us get you to the top."magnadearel Fin. This rp was fun! I can't wait till the pride is up and we can put Per into a race.
