As their mission continued, they had reached the border of Kumo, referred to as the Land Of Lightning. The boy leaped from tree to tree, following his comrade to the village. Natsu had glanced up at the sky, seeing there were continuous clouds blocking the blue skies. They were close to Kumo. ''We're almost there.'' The boy had continued forward infront of Misaki.

Two genin traveled through land of lightning. They had crossed the border some time ago, and the treed had begun to thin. Misaki quickened her pace when Natsu jumped ahead of her and kept on his tail. Normally she would have tried harder to stay in front of him, but she was unfamiliar with the terrain and didn't trust it. "Just be sure you don't walk off a mountain or something." She yelled ahead as they continued. She glanced up at the cloud cover ahead and felt the hair on her neck stand up when she gave the air a sniff. The atmosphere was becoming thicker and heavier, and the crisp scent of rain lingered. It was not at all surprising that rain seemed on the horizon; after all the land of lightning was known for their storms. It was however troubling that they may have to travel through Kumo's mountains in the midst of bad weather. "I think there's a storm coming" Misaki commented to her comrade. Though she hopped they would arrive before the storm did, it was still better that he knew just in case.

He had heard Misaki's prediction about a sudden storm occurring. The boy nodded as he leaped from to branch to branch. In the path of their travel, there was a large gap between the land. From below, it seemed bottomless. ''WHOA ! !'' Natsu was about to run right into it, but in the nick of time, he grabbed a tree branch and stood on top of it. ''Whoa..that's a huge gap!'' The boy commented. He placed a hand on his chin. ''Wonder if there's anywhere around it''

Misaki slowed to a stop when Natsu halted on a tree branch to examine a large gap in the landscape. The Inuzuka's eyes examined the gorge before her which seemed to have no end in either direction. The boy had asked about any possible way around it. "I don't know. It seems to go on..." Misaki stopped halfway through what was going to say when she caught a whiff of something. She took another sniff to be sure. It was wood, but it was different from the trees around them, dryer. The kunoichi's eyes widened and her mouth formed into a grin. "I think I found a way over!" She said as she started running toward the smell. "C'mon." She beckoned Natsu. Misaki followed the edge of the gap carefully so as not to loose her footing. As the kunoichi came around a hill, a tension bridge across the gap came into view. It had been previously blocked from their view by the hill. The bridge had the same scent of dry wood about it that she had used to track it.

The boy looked around in question, confused on how to cross this obstacle. As he scoping, Misaki had told him that she had discovered a pathway through this deep gorge. Natsu nodded and proceeded to follow her to the bridge. The two had came across a hill, where the tension bridge was located. ''Nice work Misaki. Let's keep moving.'' He trailed down the hill and came upon the bridge. The boy had safely crossed the bridge, continuing the path towards Kumo. The village was just up ahead. The cloudy mountains could be seen from up above as proof. ''Just a little more. Dattebayo!'' Natsu jumped onto a branch and rushed through the trees, thus making his way towards the village gates of Kumogakure. ((Exit))

The two genin passed over the bridge to the other side of the gorge and continued on their way. The village was not far now. With every step they took the road brought them higher and closer to the cloud cover that hid Kumo from their view. Misaki followed her comrade along the path. Soon the clouds that surrounded the mountaintops engulfed them, but once they ascended past the initial cloud cover the gates of Kumogakure were visible. They had finally arrived to the village hidden in the clouds.
The young Shinobi began his trek through the Land of Lightning. He was alone, which really didn't make much of a difference to him. He was used to training alone and living alone. It made things quieter for him. His arms were crossed casually behind his head as he walked, his ruby eyes turned to the clouds. I wish I had at least thought to bring my cat... Then I could have had someone to converse with... He sighed softly, closing his eyes for a bit before opening them once more, now focusing on the road before him. He would need to get used to traveling, after all, if he were going to become a great ninja like his Ancestors, he would have to travel to learn different techniques.
Speaking of... He looked down at his hand, balling it into a fist. He could do to work on some of his own jutsu. He was currently limited on his Raiton Jutsu... There was also very little with his bloodline that he could do right now. Most of them were stronger techniques than he could manage right now. Raiton wasn't the most easy of techniques to master either... and they tended to smart when they didn't go right, unlike something like water where you just tended to get wet when the Jutsu fell apart. He had some time to kill during this little walk, why not work on some Jutsu while he was at it? Of course, he was going to wait until he was a little farther from town before he did any of that. It wouldn't do for one of the guards to think he was actually fighting something or someone and come out only to find him practicing his techniques would it? He chuckled, his arms coming behind his head again as he walked. Yes, that would be his plan, walk, train, walk some more...
Travel post 1/5. Albroit and Arichan had just passed the front gates with a lot of noise. The bird seemed as if he didn’t care about the commotion he had just caused, and neither did Albroit. Yet Albroit was thinking about his actions, if the gate guardians recognized him then his parents would know that he left with a weak and lame excuse. Why would somebody that was in a big squad with elite shinobi leave through the frontal gates, alone and without telling where he was going. He couldn’t care more about it though, if his parents would notice him leaving then he could have a laugh after he came back. His father was so funny when he was getting mad. The vulture started clapping more aggressively. Albroit looked at him with. “What is wrong, Arichan?” He smiled at the bird. The bird looked around. “I am going to look if nobody is following us. I am going back to the gates and inspect it there”. The bird quickly took off and flew backwards. Albroit looked around. There was a small lake nearby. Now that he had some time until his ‘guide’ returned. He walked towards the lake, he wanted to perfect his Act of Water surface walking. A technique he just couldn’t master back in the academy.
He started focusing a bigger amount of chakra towards his feet. His small walk towards the lake gave him the chance to master this with a little more time. Yet the chakra focus on dry land also changed the sound of his trusty clapping sound. It got more heavy and violent, as if he just gained a lot of pounds. He knew that the clapping always got more heavy as he used his feet faster or with more power, but did chakra really change it that hard? He was surprised by the harder clapping. He was now at the last piece of solid earth near the lake. He looked into the water, it was awfully silent compared to a normal lake. But that was only a good thing. It would make the technique easier. He focused the chakra towards his feet, and then quickly ran on the water. It worked! For a few seconds, and someone could call that momentum. He fell down in the water. It was freezing cold! “What the crap!”. He was startled by falling down in the water. But quickly swum back to the shore. He got out. Drying himself up a bit by shaking his body violently. He was thinking, a wet clapping sound filled the area around the lake while he was walking back and forth. That was it! His shoes! He had to start barefooted before trying this technique. He sat down quickly, pulling his tank top off. Together with his sandals. He wanted the top to dry. He hated having a cold upper body. He walked towards the lake again, now barefooted. He started focusing chakra again, his clapping became heavier again. He walked onto the lake, quietly and peacefully. He looked into the water as it started making little waves. Yet the waves got a little bit smaller while he was changing the chakra density and location. He focused it on how his body mass was. And that worked out just fine. He started testing it out a bit, jumping around on one foot, changing density. And then he repeated the process on the other foot. It worked! Now he just had to repeat the process while wearing his sandals. He walked back to the shore of the lake. Quickly walking back on normal land again. He sat down in the grass, he was drying up a bit after his little walk on the water. He put his hair back in the original shape, so that he could focus more on his feet. His hair got a bit of itchy if it was not in his original model. He put his sandals on, which were dried up. He started walking, changing the density to his body mass yet again. But this time he changed the spots, since some spots on his sandals were thicker than his foot. The chakra dividing between sandal and foot was a lot harder than just barefooted. But it was not hard if you knew the basics. He kept his focus, and started running with the dense and hard clapping sound. He ran over the water, and this time it was not momentum that kept him dry. He cheered on the water and quickly ran back. Putting his tank top back on. He saw the bird return, nodding his head. They were ready to go on their journey yet again. Albroit had learned the Act of water Surface walking. (530/500 words needed).
The white haired Genin had begun to get bored, his humming now having turned into a soft singing. He had his katana out, his feet moving and shifting lightly in a sort of dancing step as he walked on his toes. His katana spun in his hand as he moved it, the white blade slashing through the open air and leaving brief trail of white in its wake. He brought his arms closer to him, twirling the handle between his fingers as his right foot came out, the young Genin spinning on his toes as his other foot came quickly forward to touch the ground, his right one coming up off the ground as he kicked it up, taking a solid hold on the blade as he flipping up and over, the blade slicing out once more. Both feet landing quietly he suddenly stopped, katana held out with one hand on the hilt, the other against the flat side of the blade as he held it slightly diagonally, the tip pointed downward in an almost defensive position. He chuckled, using both hands to twirl the blade around before letting it go and tossing it into the air, stepping forward and reaching up to catch it, only to feel it miss his fingers by a fraction, the blade sliding dangerously close to his back. His body tensed and he froze, his hair rising in alarm along the back of his neck as he closed his eyes, waiting for the painful sting that didn't come as it stuck, point down, in the ground behind him. The weapon vibrated as it came to a rest, and the young man let out his held breath in an exhale, his eyes opening and rolling upward in relief. "Gods... That could have hurt..." he muttered, turning to grab the handle and pull it back out, his leg coming out as he wiped each flat side against his pant leg to clean it free of dust and dirt before sliding it back into the scabbard. "Apparently I'm not as dexterous as I thought. Oh well, I can always improve." he chuckled again, brushing his hands together.
Movement in the distance caught his eye, closer to the Village and in the direction he had just came from. He blinked, ruby gaze squinting slightly as he looked at what it was. Some sort of a bird, and a large one at that, was coming back from the direction of the Village. "Huh..." The bird looked almost like... a vulture? But that was odd... He didn't remember passing anything dead on the way here. Maybe an animal had came up after and was near death. The birds had been known to follow animals that were dying after all. Now he was starting to get curious... He looked back, the way he was heading. If he backtracked it would take more time... But really, it wouldn't take that long, it wasn't that far from where he was anyway. Besides, if something was injured or in trouble, he would feel somewhat bad about leaving it to be picked off by the birds.What if its some little cat that wandered away and was hurt? That would be horrible! He frowned now, his brows furrowing at the thought of a helpless little cat, injured and needing help, crawling through the world on its own and dying alone. "Aw man... I can't do that to a cat..." he said, shaking his head as he started back.
He took off in a light jog, his hand holding his katana to keep it from bouncing any more than it needed to, and to help keep it quiet. If it were a person, then they might be being pursued... Then what am I going to do? Maybe call for help? I am still pretty close to the village... But what if its a someone from the Village hunting someone? He gave a light sigh, shaking his head, "Ugh... I really hope its a cat..." He looked up, watching where the bird had went and trying to judge the approximate location off of that. He leap up, his feet hitting against a small boulder, then pushed off, focusing chakra into his feet to make him stick to the next, larger boulder as he started leaping from one rock to the next. The last rock that he leaped to he stopped, sliding a bit as he forced his forward momentum to a halt. His arms came out, wobbling as he balanced himself before leaning forward, his hands coming out to brace himself as he peered over the top of the boulder.
Below was a decent sized lake, and in the air, the bird. What's more, was there was a young man near the edge of the water, he had spiked blond hair and was wearing a tank top. He squinted down at the young man, he had a fit looking body and seemed alone. Maybe another Shinobi...? It would explain why he's alone and looks like he does..."Hmm.." He inched himself up a bit more, pushing forward with his toes against the rock. He didn't see a weapon on him, but he had a backpack of sorts... Maybe... His brows furrowed as he watched the other, wondering who and what he was. Well... It's not a cat... Maybe I should have just kept going... He inwardly groaned, I really wish it had been a cat... Not that the Genin needed anymore cats in his house though.
As he had just finished putting his clothes back on the gigantic vulture landed on his shoulder, it seemed as the beast was becoming quite adapted to him. It was as they were a tag team for quite some time now. He reached out his arm, so that the bird could land in a somewhat more smoother position, and be a little more comfortable too! He looked at the big yellow eyes of Arichan "And, did the village notice me?" The bird smiled at him. As if he had just found a prey. He nodded and moved his head a little closer to the young boy. "Another boy is around these parts of the woods, I saw him follow me as I took my flight back towards you. He looked like a shinobi from Kumogakure, but he wasn't that old. Perhaps a young talent, but not a dangerous threat. He isn't a foe either, I don't think that he knows what we did at the gates". Albroit nodded as the bird told him the short summary, he didn't have a clue of where the boy was. But he wanted to see what was around here before travelling further with Arichan. What if it was a possible shinobi from Kumogakure? The Raikage wasn't dumb. He tapped Arichan on his wing. "Try looking up in the sky a bit, to see if the other shinobi is close. I want to know who he is." The bird quickly got up without questioning. Soaring up a bit to look around the region.
As he continued his 'surveillance' of the mysterious blond boy, he watched as the bird, now noticeable as a very big Vulture (and he meant big!), fly down to the boy. He held out his arm and the creature perched on it. Interesting... He knew some Shinobi that worked with animals, but he wasn't familiar with Vultures. His ancestors had used dogs before, and he himself wanted to try to make a contract with some sort of animal to work with, they were very helpful on the battlefield. He could see how having aerial support could be useful. Not only could they fly ahead and scout areas that you couldn't see from the ground, but they could also attack from above, or fly out of the enemy's attack range and relay information to forces behind or beyond.
The bird bent its head down toward the boy's, and the white haired Genin stretched up a bit more, as if trying to lean and look or see if he could hear what they said. Obviously he couldn't, but it only peaked his curiosity more. He saw the boy touch the bird's wing and watched as his lips moved. I wish I could read lips... he thought with a soft frown as the bird suddenly took to the air again. Getsu involuntarily slid back, trying to hide, though from the air it would be unsuccessful, from the bird's line of sight. He let out a soft sigh, rolling over onto his back now. He would stick out like a soar thumb against the earth tones, his outfit consisting of blacks and whites and definitely not any sort of tactical or camouflaged. Ruby hues watched the bird as it flew up, the Genin raising a hand up to the air, palm facing upwards, and waving to the creature. He was going to be spotted anyway, might as well try to seem as nonthreatening as he could right? Maybe the kid was another Shinobi from Kumogakure. If so, they might be able to travel together, it would make the walk a bit more fun at the very least.
Albroit was looking up as the bird was scanning the environment, was the other shinobi close to him? He wondered, but thinking it over and over wasn't really his style. He just continued to wait, waiting for his vultural friend to spot the other shinobi. That was if he was close to them. He saw Arichan looking in the northern direction, with a bit of an leery look. The bird lowered again and flew above Albroit a bit, Albroit looked at him with a bit of a dumb look. The bird smacked him against the back of his head. "Hey that hurts! Why did you do that Arichan!" The bird looked him a bit arrogant. "How the hell am I supposed to tell you what I saw if I can't land!" He screamed back at the boy. Albroit laughed at him, finding the whole situation a bit comical. He stretched his arm again, so that the bird could land. The bird quietly sat down and regained his peace and patience. "He knows we are looking for him, he is a few meters away from us. Northern direction, he waved at me". The bird smiled at Albroit, who smiled back at him. "Well then! Lets meet him!" He laughed at the bird and started walking towards the direction that the vulture pointed out. He was curious how the shinobi would react to him. Walking with such a calm pace. Yet the clapping of his shoes was filling in the quiet area, combined with his creepy signature smile.
The bird circled over head for a moment before it drifted away and back toward the boy, the white haired Genin craning his neck to watch its flight. Yep. Has to be a contract animal... he thought as he rolled over again onto his stomach, scooting up to watch the bird fly to the boy, only to hit him in the back of the head. Getsu chuckled, he couldn't help it, this was rather comical. He raised up now, no longer trying to stay hidden, his elbows coming to rest against the rock as he propped his chin in his hands, ruby eyes watching as the boy outstretched an arm for the Vulture. They again conversed, and the boy smiled. It was... an odd smile to say the very least. Getsu arched a brow as he watched the other boy, whom he had now labeled as some sort of Shinobi, start walking in his direction.
Getsu chuckled again, his hands coming to the rock under him as he pushed himself up, his knees coming up to his chest as he stood, brushing himself off. Well, again, no reason to hide, or need to at this moment at least. He looked up at the approaching Shinobi as he finished dusting himself off, raising a hand up in greeting, "Yo." he called out softly, smiling under his half mask, his eyes turning up at the edges as he closed them in his smile. Letting his hand fall, he took a step forward, lightly hopping off of the boulder that he was on and landing equally as light and silently on the ground below. Might as well meet in the middle. he thought, his arms coming to cross casually behind his head as he walked forward. One thing he noticed about the other Shinobi right away was how loud he was when he walked. The clapping of his shoes against his feet was almost echoing through the area. Obviously he wasn't trying to be quiet... but was he trying to be loud? It was kind of odd that a Shinobi be that loud when he walked... Was it a signal of some kind? Or maybe... the guy was just a loud walker. Getsu continued to smile in a kind and casual way as he came to a stop a few feet from the other. " 'Sup?" He shifted his weight slightly, letting his right foot slide back a bit farther than his left, his weight leaning back some as he kept his arms behind his head, fingers clasped together.
Albroit came a bit closer and saw how the young boy got out of the surrounding area, so that he could be spotted and noticed. He continued to smile at him, it seemed that the boy was very relaxed in his presence, or he pretended to be at the very least. There was no reason to be stressed out anyhow. He noticed how Arichan got a bit tenser as they were getting closer to the boy. As if he was fearing something, was the bird scared? No, there was no need for that. The gigantic bird would not be scared for someone that showed that he wasn't even making himself ready for a confrontation. Was it because he feared for something else? Probably what would happen if the boy would attack Albroit, in their earlier conversation he held a lot of respect for his king. Even correcting Albroit when he pronounced the name wrong. He stopped walking when he was in a nice and close range of the boy, not too close. But in a distance where they could talk on a normal tone. As he stopped walking the place turned silent again, did the guy notice his walking style? Probably. He looked into his eyes, crimson. Just like the Uchiha clan. But it didn't have any dots in them. "Well hello there, are you from Kumogakure aswell?". he spoke with a lot of cheer in his voice, he was happy that he met another person here. The boy didn't look as if the Raikage had sent him. Otherwise he would've taken a more active position. Albroit put his right hand on his hip. Tapping against his Kumogakure belt.
