Perseus went zipping through, bouncing along just as hyper as the juves were when they were up and about. The leopon had never outgrown her hyper bouncy nature. Some of her siblings had never had the hyperness to begin with, some had outgrown it, but Perseus was always going at full speed ahead until she dropped to nap. And she could sleep like the dead sometimes when she napped. It was part of the reason she had not left her father and his little group. She did not want to be caught out alone with the way she slept.

The leopon looked quite smug as she managed to step lightly even at her fast pace, going through the sleeping juves without disturbing any of them. Athena had asked her a few times how she managed it, and she really did not know. She just did it. She was a high speed sneaker. And that probably was a bad thing for those around her. Perseus did not realize just how close she came to Zenobia as she silently rushed past. The only thing that gave her away was the air that was disturbed by her passing.

And then she stopped dead. The tail tuft caught her attention. Perseus knew that tail tuft! That was Zenobia's white tail tuft! And then it became a pounced tail tuft. Perseus had been unable to resist the powder puff of a tail that was in front of her. She really was still a cub at heart in so many ways. The leopon sat there and groomed the pinned tuft, looking up at the lioness with an innocent expression. All the cubs had learned that expression from their father at a very early age.

Perseus gave Zenobia the cutest look she could possibly muster and purred at her. "Would I do anything but?" She gets back to grooming the tail. She spends a good ten minutes grooming just the tail tuft until it is not only very clean but very fluffy. The leopon looks quite happy with her work, perhaps even a bit smug over it. She thought she had done a fine job and besides, it was something she was good at. She had learned from her father how to fluff one's self to the fullest. Athena was a bit obsessed with his fluffiness, so it was no wonder he had taught his cubs such a thing.

Perseus stood up and stretched going forward to nuzzle Zenobia where the lioness still lay. "Hello, momma Zeno." It did not matter to Perseus that Zenobia was not her mother. The leopon's leopardess mother was only around about half the time when she was young, so to her she had two mothers, the one that bore her and visited and Zenobia whom was always around and seemed to really love her father. The leopon had never really asked any of her siblings if they thought the same, but she knew that Athena loved Zenobia dearly. Thus it was her 'momma'.

Perseus beamed at Zenobia, glad the lioness liked the grooming. The leopon gave a smug purr and a lazy stretch as she contemplated her answer to the question. There was so much she had been up to earlier in the day. Where did one start in explaining? This was what she got for being so active. She had a harder time recalling everything she had done, not to mention telling it all to someone else. She was going to have a long list when she got it all compiled in her head, and she just hoped that Zenobia wouldn't get lost and make her repeat it!

"I got up, went hunting, caught four rabbits, ate two of them, brought the other two in for daddy before he went hunting, chased bugs, dug up a termite mound, ate a couple termites, found a little waterfall, used that to clean off the dirt in my fur, dried myself off, gave myself a good grooming, and pounced father before coming through here." She hoped she had not missed anything. Perseus did not think she had, though. The fact that she could rattle all that off was probably a small miracle, but at least she had answered the question. The leopon laid down beside Zenobia and nudged her side lovingly.

"It was a slow day today, momma Zeno." Perseus beamed at the lioness, quite serious about it being a slow day. The leopon could have, and had on many occasions, gotten more than that done in her morning. Had she done so today, though, she likely would not have been able to remember it all to rattle it off. It had taken her a few moments to remember it all as it was, good thing it was a slow day. She knew the lioness did not operate in high speed like she did, but it was still amusing to listen to the lioness' teasing about it. "I could think of a few things, but I doubt you wish to be that active right now."

Perseus grinned at Zeno and purred loudly. The grooming was welcome as it was a sign of affection that the leopon loved to give and receive. She chuckled at Zeno's suggestion of a nap and nuzzled into her side a little. "I could try to nap... I don't think I have ever tried to nap. If it fails I can sit here and watch around while you nap?" It was a reasonable enough suggestion. Try to share the activity and if it could not be done, occupy herself quietly while the other continued the activity. She hoped the white lioness would be happy with this suggestion.

Perseus grinned at Zenobia and pushed the female's muzzle with a paw, playfully. "Slow days are for papa... my ideas involve running around chasing things. I think you need your rest first." She giggled and looked a bit smug. Okay so she was proud of having more energy than Zenobia. Then again, she was younger AND had no cubs to look after, unless she volunteered to help with her half siblings. She did that a lot, but only because they were as hyper and playful as she was herself. Playmates were always fun. Using the offer of looking after them as an excuse to play was just up Perseus' alley too.

The leopon stretched her paws out and lowered her head onto them. "We can try your idea... If it does not work, I can always bat at your ears and play with your tail." And she probably would too. Who could resist unprotected ears and tail when they were bored? But before she did anything like that Perseus would at least make an effort at this nap thing that Zeno seemed to want so badly. An effort at being lazy was definitely required for Perseus.
