For once Sylvia was left sitting in a chair posed ever so carefully prim and proper like she wanted before being pulled from her shell. Just because she wanted to run around all day didn't mean they could stop practicing. So after a bit of convincing Roland managed to finally lock Sylvia back into his head.

"Yes you can have another cupcake okay." The banshee let out a delighted squeal in his head, thankfully something he was growing more use to though it stilled caused his eyes to clench shut rather then simply jumping out his boots.
Moving along he made his way to the Moon's training course, so far he was two and two, and it seemed after completing the Sun course the only sensible thing would be to work from the other end of the team. Something called the Eclipse, a Sun and a Moon working in pairs.

At least Sylvia was in a good mood.

Harrison similarly needed to finish the course.
He'd been fighting with a pair of swords for over a year, but he still had zero formal training and no experience with that kind of weapon prior to that. He knew he wasn't a sun, but sometimes his fighting capabilities were damn embarrassing. The best defending he'd done involved less swords and more making sure people didn't loiter around in danger zones.
Marcus always made defending and attacking seem effortless.
It might have helped if they'd done more courses, and less video games.
"I don't see how this helps with your technique," B0nez interrupted, more or less on the same train of thought even without being in Harrison's head. "Haven't we done enough wall-building the past however long? It's hot out here. And...bright..." B0nez pulled his hat further over his eyes, shielding himself from the sun.
"You're not a ******** vampire," Harrison said, "and you're the one always bugging me about getting more gear."
"Yeah, well, I know, but," B0nez jogged after him, "do we have to do it outside?"
"Half the time we'll be on the observation deck. A little sunshine won't hurt. How come when you're in my head you want me to do everything, but now that you've got a body-" Harrison paused. Somebody was else already examining the course. "Hey, kid. What are you doing here?"

Roland was over looking the course, Sylvia was still singing happily along about cupcakes as they continued to watch over everything. The course seemed interesting enough, build defenses to stop Shadows from hunting down princesses.
"Er huh?" Spinning about he paused blinking for a moment before a small grin spread across his face, "Harrison right?"
<< Ooooooooooh It's him now isssss it? >> He could feel the mental image of Silvya wiggling her eyebrows in his head.
"I was going to take a crack at the moon course, I figure just because Sylvia can run around in a body when I let her doesn't mean she can frolic about and ignore training right?" He leaned to the side a bit glancing past Harrison at B0nez, "I take that's your weapon then Harrison?"

"Sylvia says Bonez right? Something about loot tables and being the king then she just started rambling off ones and zeros..."

B0nez grinned, "Or Ace. Or Hughesy-"
Harrison growled, "Alright, alright, yeah, he's mine. Don't call me any of that s**t. Harrison. And he's B0nez."
He walked on to the observation deck, putting in the information to get a golem.
"You done this course before?"

"Er... those names right." Sylvia was laughing in delight in the back of his mind. "Naw, Harrison it is. Ro or Roland for me." Following the Moon hunter he shrugged a bit.
"Nope can't say I have, I did the Mist with Candace. And Sun with Rep, past em both too." He took a glance at the terminal waiting his turn to input a request as well.
"Erm... could we wait a few minutes? Sylvia ahh... she says she want's to help out as well... I think she's jealous that B0nez is getting to run around." He reached down the bracelet most hunters where wearing, a single click, the delighted squealing in his head suddenly gone making the world seem a lot quieter when she wasn't around in his mind.
Elsewhere a Banshee Golem was jumping out of a chair running through the dorms towards the courses squealing in delight.

"Sure," Harrison said, giving the hard-to-miss instructions plastered over the side of the training course another look.
B0nez gravitated gleefully towards the controls, hands floating with deliberation over the various buttons.
"Don't touch the computers," Harrison said flatly, still examining the poster.
 Moon Hunter
PRINCESS ISLAND
Maintaining a superior defense is the pride of the Moon Division, defending even at the expense of attacking. However, this can be hard, especially for trainees who just got new magic weapons full of glowing and powers. Thus the Princess Island. At the center of the island sits a princess who will do absolutely nothing to protect herself, and it's up to you to build defenses that will withstand shadowling attacks so she she doesn't die in a horribly realistic manner.
There's four main paths for shadowling's to travel through, and you have 3 types of building materials to create your defenses from: straw bales, wood, and bricks. The sturdier the material, the sturdier the barrier, but the fewer you can build in the allotted time. After a set amount of time, the princess will crush a pumpkin pill, attracting varying amounts of lurking shadowlings. You get to watch helplessly from the observation station, without getting to attack yourself.
These creature are extremely weak and ill formed, coming up against a solid defense they will disperse, but in turn they also weaken said defense. When a defense goes down, they go right to the princess and attack her. Should she survive the wave, you get to go back down, rebuild, and do it again.
If you fail: the princess has died, horribly, and you've wasted a lot of time on this only to look fairly incapable. All things considered? Most pleasant course to fail.
If you win: peen points and bragging rights go to those with the healthiest princess and lasted through the most attack waves.
If you choose to go beyond 5 rounds, switch the enemy dice roll to 4 d20s.
Mechanics
Your princess has 20 hp
First, roll the strength of you defense, using the dice for whichever building type you choose.
Brick: 4 d12
Wood: 8 d6
Hay bales: 12 d4
The order of the die determine the HP for each barrier location. For example, with bricks, rolling 5/6/8/1, would mean that path 1 has 5 HP, path 2 has 6 HP and so on. With a wood roll of 3/3/3/1/2/5/5/2, the first 2 dice would equal the amount of the first path. Brick would be the least math-y of the building materials (you lazy asses.)
Roll 4 d12 for the attacking forces. Once again the order of the dice correspond with the path being affected. Then do the math to determine the status of your defenses and princess.
Example:
My defenses are 5/6/8/10
The attackers are 3/7/3/8
The result defenses are 2/-1/5/2
Negative numbers are taken off the princesses HP, leaving her at 19 HP.
Go back and rebuild your defenses in the same manner as before, you'll be building on top of old defenses so you add the new defense HP to the remaining defense HP. Negative numbers = 0 HP for the defense, not negative HP.
Minimum rounds to complete the course is 3
Bonus Mechanics
Their defense expertise allows them to build slightly sturdier barriers. This applies to all paths that start at 0 hp. They do not stack. So if you are re-building on a barrier that lasted from an existing round, this bonus does not apply, as it is already still in effect.
Trainees: 0 hp bonus
Moon Trainees: +1 hp bonus to each path
Hunters: +1 hp to each path
Moon Hunters: + 2 hp to each path

Roland took another look at the wall himself moving to stand beside Harrison arms crossed in thought it was while the two of them where looking at the rules and the map that a faint squealing could be heard in the distance.
Before anyone could say a word a pale banshee leaped through the room tackling B0nez in a hug, "BONZEY!" Squealed the ghoul. "B0nezb0nezb0nez." She let out another delighted screech that caused Ro to flinch only slightly. She was far less terrible like this outside of his head rather then inside.
"W-well that was ahhh fun right? Sylvia get off B0nez we need to pick a material already."
"BRICKS!" Declared the ghoul, "No wait wood. Def wood, I'm not carrying big heavy bricks unless you want to do all the work Roland."
Roland turned to Harrison with a look of sadness. "I live with that. In my head. She thinks every male hunter should go topless."
"THEY SHOULD!"
Ro frowned, "And has a horrible obsession over Rep and Jordan being topless together..."
For now though he ignored that moving to gather up the wood for his defenses. "So we just build on the paths and wait to see if our ummm princesses survive? Who did we get for this round anyway?"

B0nez found himself grounded.
He shrieked, "I'M BEING ATTACKED, HARRISON, FIX IT, FIX IT,"
Harrison didn't look impressed. "You're not being attacked. It's a girl. You're worse than Rep sometimes."
When Sylvia bounced off, B0nez stayed on the ground, traumatized. Harrison made a face. "Why don't you stay here on the deck. So you don't explode in the sunlight." He left towards the training field, muttering, "dunno if you can lift bricks anyhow," dragging the heaviest material into place and out towards...
"Haha, Marcus? No s**t." Harrison said, grinning as the princess regarded him with seriousness and a very frilly collar.
"That's highness to you," Princess Marcus sniffed. "Put those bricks over there, and hurry. I've been out here without any shade all day." He regarded a passing butterfly with compassion.
Harrison grunted, hauling over another stack, "Sure, highness. But I'm pretty it's the Sun you've got to worry about."
He looked over at Ro, not sure what to think of the topless comment. He settled on a cautious, "Can't say I blame her. And dunno, it's random. Anybody that's alive can get Princessified. Over here's Princess Marcus. And over there- Guess it likes Moons. That's Ceres. Don't know how many tips you'll be getting out of those two."

"Not attacked it's called a -hug- don't tell me your like Rep tooooo." She frowned, "All these cute boils and each one thinks I'm the plague because I'm a ghoul well that's just not cute at all."
Slipping away she watched the two hunters getting to work. "I'll keep him company~!" She added waving as the two hunters got to work.
"Oh sure it's fine, she can comment all she wants. But can you heard her squealing, think of that every time to pass another hunter in the hall." He followed Harrison tugging piles of wood before pausing, "Oh hey Ceres?"
"That's me alright. Ignore Princess Marcus he's a little fussy, but could you please get a barrier up already?" She had the same grin she had the first time Roland met her.

"Off! Offoffoff!" B0nez scooted backwards on his butt, wiping his arms and legs off. " Eugh, monster cooties." He adjusted his glasses, edging away from Sylvia before peeking over the infirmary glass. "I like ghouls okay. I just don't like to be touched by them." B0nez felt so...dirty. And heavy. This was mostly due to being made out of dirt. He watched Harrison work intently, analyzing the map "...His third path is not correctly fortified," he complained, then added for Sylvia's benefit, "their topless vids are pretty choice ngl." "Uh, yeah, squealing," Harrison said, not sure just how much he wanted to talk about this guy's pervert weapon woes. "Glad I didn't get stuck with a girl." B0nez had his own...peculiarities, but he wasn't going to air them. He joined Sylvia and B0nez in the observation tower, then watched as shadow monsters flooded in to attack their respective moons. Instead of leaving the walls he'd fortified alone, the shadow creatures ripped and tore into everything. So much for that plan. B0nez stayed at his elbow, making dramatic noises at every breach in defense. "...Round two," he said. "You coming, this time?" "No. Work faster, they've probably leveled up." "Monster cooties~?! I'm a ghost a banshee thank you!" She pouted tons and crawled after making a most disapproving face at him. None the less he followed after the other weapon arms crossed peeking over his shoulder.
"Weeeeeeeak," she chimed in on Harrison's walls, "Roland does really well with these silly training things... his walls don't look too bad." She then let out a gasp, "Ohhhhh bad bad bad bad bad. They took every- ROLAND THAT WALL IS FALLING DOWN!"
"I KNOW!" He shouted back as he climbed into the booth frowning, his best wall did its job but it was like the shadows decided to devour that wall alone.
"Hey Roland? If it's not to much to ask... don't build such a crummy wall next time!"
Ceres princess was polite, but still a little bit of a jerk.

"Eh? ...Ghost?" B0nez asked, reappraising her. "Sorry. Hard to tell when everyone's so... fleshy." He blustered a bit at the weak comment. "No you, your hunter's weaksauce. Gay. Wood sux." "Okay, Princess?" Harrison asked, hauling more bricks over. Marcus's dress was tattered, and he looked...well, a little lost. "What...what were those things?" he asked, attaching himself to Harrison's elbow. "The kingdom's under attack-" "Just give me a second to get your castle going again," he told Marcus, patting his hand consolingly. Golems. "Yes. Ghost. Banshee. Lovely singing voice right? And yeah... the whole flesh thing kinda sucks...." She paused blinking for a moment. "Whaaaat he has so saved his princess so far. It's because he has a crush on her!"
"OKAY SYLVIA. Enough talking go... draw a battle plan or something. I don't know." He moved back into the watch tower again releasing the next wave of shadowling monsters onto his defenses. Ceres of course let out the required screams to keep the shadows interested in trying to devour her, and the wood barriers.... held?
"Well I kinda umm... s**t they ruinned three walls this time..."
"Maybe B0nez is right... you're going to lose if this keeps up."
"Heellloooo still stuck down here! Keep building walls please!"
