Smerdle loved Gobberpin. One day, she was like "I've run out of crack, what to do," and then her phone started ringing and it was her good friend Wanda.

"Come down to the Gobberpin Alley," said Wanda.

Smerdle said, "All right."

This is an opening post that has no bearing on the actual game. For this example I have used the bare minimum number of posts you need to play, with the exception of an opening and closing, but when you're actually playing you can add posts in between rolls for flavor and such.
Wanda Sullivan rolled 10 10-sided dice: 2, 5, 8, 1, 10, 9, 9, 1, 9, 10 Total: 64 (10-100)

By the time Smerdle got to the alley, Wanda already had her snazzy duo-colored shoes on and had picked out a couple of snazzy gobbers and paid for their snazzy lane and ordered a lot of snazzy beer.

"Time to play!" she wailed, flinging her ball toward the pins without looking at them.

Turn: 1/2 of 1st frame
Remaining Pins: 2
Score: 9

Quote:
Wanda is an Advanced Gobberpin player and she and Smerdle are playing a standard game without bumpers, which means she must roll a 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, or 10 to successfully knock down each corresponding pin. She has rolled:
2: success
5: failure
8: success
1: success
10: success
9: success
9: success
1: success
9: success
10: success

and is left with only one pin to knock down on her second turn.

You can keep track of your turns and pins any way you'd like. In the Remaining Pins section, I have listed the number of the pin that is still standing to make it easier to figure out which dice go with which pin on the second turn of the frame. Because Wanda knocked down all pins except one, this is rather confusing, but will be clarified in later turns.

"Wouldja look at that! All those lessons with Stefano really paid off!"

Wanda grabbed a nacho off of a passing order and tossed her gobber again.

The gobber weaved and spun erratically, eventually failing to smack into Wanda's last remaining pin. She whooped and waved her hands in the air like she just didn't care. Which she didn't. Because she hadn't rolled a spare.

Quote:
It is not necessary to roll dice for all ten pins if you have knocked some down in the first turn. In this case, Wanda rolled a 7 for pin number 2 and as a result, she didn't knock it down.

Smerdle ignored her friend's outburst. Wanda must still have some crack at home, she thought. I'm going to have to do something about that later.

She carefully lobbed her gobber down the lane, watching two pins disappear as it knocked into them.

Turn: 1/2 of 1st frame

Smerdle is a Beginner Gobberpin player and must roll a 1 or 10 to knock down each corresponding pin. Here my method of keeping track of pins is clearer. I have listed the numbers of the pins that have yet to be knocked down, so if I wanted to have a player comment on the pins that were still standing, I would know which ones they were.

"RAWK!" Smerdle shouted as she knocked down another pin.

"Amateur," Wanda sneeze-whispered.

Wanda flagged down a waiter dude as she tossed the gobber again.

"My friend and I would like some spicy wings," she told him. "With extra ranch." She leered at him as he scampered away.

Wanda was still woo-ing uncontrollably when Smerdle took her next shot. As a result, the gobber nearly fell into the gutter and Smerdle only knocked down one pin.

"Try loosening your grip," Wanda said, spilling ranch dressing all over the lane. "Stefano says it helps stun the gobber and keep it centered."

Wanda rose, grabbing a particularly hungry gobber and attempting to toss it at the pins. It unfurled as she swung her arm, licking at the spicy wing sauce on her fingers and swerving haphazardly toward its destination. Wanda frowned.
