A joking suggestion by Hikaro has inspired me to do this. As some of you may know, I enjoy creating odd characters. Some of these are just unusual personalities, while others are based around unusual skill sets. While thinking of ideas for a new system we're considering, Hikaro made the statement that some of my ideas would make interesting character challenges rather than parts of that system. Taking that idea, I decided to go for it.
Once in awhile, mostly determined by when I think of one, I will post here with a description of a character. This may come in a few different forms, but will act as guidelines for the character. Some might be how the character behaves, some might be a weakness the character has to follow, and some might be a full blown talent written out by myself.
The idea is this. I will create the basis for these characters, and you, if you have an open character slot, can take the idea and RP with it. These are normal RPCs, so you can't simply play it for awhile and dump it if you decide you don't like it. It is as much a commitment as a normal RPC.
However, each challenge RPC will have it's own goals to meet, and obstacles to overcome. I might even tack on in RP rewards for achieving different goals as well. These are also, as titled, challenge RPCs. None of them will necessarily be easy to use. Each will have it's own integral weaknesses that make it difficult to play.
And that's all I have to say for the moment. Any posts from this point on will be dedicated to the characters. Please don't post in this thread. If you want to try one, contact me first so I can mark the challenge as accepted. If you have your own ideas for challenge RPCs, feel free to contact me with those as well and I'll see about adding them in. Full credit will be given to creators.
