The weather had begun to take a turn in a more pleasant direction now that summer was easing away, and in spite of the waning heat and gentle breeze, Luke didn't really want to head to the park or the city's grassy outskirts to train with his sword as he usually would. He didn't want to train his pokemon, either, but nor did he want to sit idly and watch the day pass. It was this very vague understanding that found him retracing the by now familiar path to Yuri's apartment and raising his hand to announce his presence at the door.

Luke blinked in startled confusion at the response. He turned his head slightly in consideration. "I'm not selling anything?"

He looked down at the Growlithe, returning its stare in silence and raising his gaze to Yuri when he appeared. He rolled his eyes briefly, "Very funny." He placed his hands in his pockets. "You weren't in the best shape last time I saw you, and that was kind of my fault so I thought I should make sure everything worked out okay from there." Well, not really, but he had to come up with some sort of reason for suddenly showing up and that was, after all, a legitimate concern.

Well, that would imply that there was a specific reason he was there, something that could be explained in plain words, responded to, and fulfilled. It wasn't really anything like that, though.

He accepted the invitation into the room, squaring his shoulders with a slight resolution. Feeling depressed didn't give him the right to impose that depression on someone else. "Sorry for just showing up. I was going to send a message, but then I realized that I don't actually have any way to contact you whatsoever." Just a slight inconvenience in everyday life, but it occurred to him that it could possibly be a problem at some later date, given just the wrong circumstances.

"Just a little." It wasn't as though it was a big problem or anything, but... "Do you have some way to get in contact? Sometimes everyone gets together to make plans about stuff..." Yuri wasn't affiliated with the League, as far as Luke could recall, but he'd already helped out on several occasions and it seemed odd to exclude him discussions about Team Rocket and the trainers' future just because he didn't have a pokedex or something.

Well... yeah, didn't seem like there was much of an option. He shrugged slightly, "I guess it isn't the most important thing in the world..." Yuri seemed to have a habit of showing up at opportune moments anyway. Maybe that would just continue to play to his advantage.

He raised his hands slightly to defer the offer, "No, I'm fine--" Memories of all the lectures about nutrition and the warnings about his weight that accompanied them appeared in his thoughts. It didn't seem right to eat without feeling hungry, but it was very rare that he actually felt noticeably hungry as of late. That probably wasn't helping anything. "Well," he deflated visibly, if not involuntarily, "maybe..."

"Something like that," he said with a vague smile, "except pretty much in reverse. Apparently I'm underweight, so..." 'Apparently,' not that he really knew much about it. All he knew was that it was recommended to have small, regular meals throughout the day, but he wasn't really doing a good job keeping that in mind, let alone acting on it, so far.
