Pelagius had just earned the right to be on his own, he was convinced one way or another that his Mother was always somewhere around and thus carried a paranoid appearance of glancing about like he was doing something wrong. After a few minutes of convincing himself he was truly free he would be off gallivanting and doing things he thought was absolutely ridiculous, though it was little things. He didn't lead a sheltered life, but enjoyed the more 'dangerous' things in life. This included wandering away in more than one instance.
Not that he was aware of, but Jocosa was certainly not far away, she watched him as he wandered around and kept a secure eye on him. Not that he had really bad tendencies, but she wasn't about to let him loose completely alone yet. As a young adult, she believed he still needed guidance, though he thought differently.
Today was not a special one, not different, not even storms to kick up the flow of the water, so the pair of them simply floated with the currents. It was actually relaxing, though Jocosa, knowing Pelagius, he would find something exciting soon enough.
