Adults....the real men and women within the real world. They go to work each day to earn the money they need. Some having a more successful job then others, or some having an average job. While others hate their jobs and go to it in order to simply survive. Though, there are those who love what they do no matter what and will continue to work hard because they love it so. Though no matter what you do in the "real world" you're an adult, and life is at its turning point. Where it turns to is up to you.

Because unlike Children, and Teenagers, you're an adult. And an adult can change many things. They can choose to change themselves to become a better person or a worse individual then most. They can change the world through what they do, or change someone's point of view through what they say. Your advice could be someone's good fortune, or someone's worst nightmare. No matter what you change or how you deny it, you're still you. Perhaps you wish to become that better person? Or, perhaps you wish nothing more then to just be yourself. Or maybe....just maybe....you're just someone looking for blood and death itself.

Regardless who your character is, if they are within this topic, they are an adult.

Once a character turns 20, they are officially an adult. Most people believe once someone turns 18 that makes them an adult, however I think once someone really starts out when they're 20 do they realize what being an adult means. If they still act like a kid, that's their choice. But, it may or may not result in a rather inevitable bad ending. You can not be any younger then 20, but as far as older go...you can be however old you wish.

-~ Roleplaying an Adult ~-

For those who are experienced with roleplay, it isn't necessary for you to read this post though it my inspire you. For those not, this post is to help you roleplay a child.


Being an Adult. This can be read in many different ways, but one you must consider is what kind of adult your character is. Not all adults are the same, and, in fact, are very different. Keep reading to see what I mean.

xxx1. You don't have to completely be "grown up".
Most adults aren't fully mature when they reach adulthood, or well past that. Some are mature, but immature in some other ways when it comes to cetain things. One could easily be fully mature about their entire life, but will still be a little immature when it comes down to the little things. As an adult, it's your responsibility to be mature. Your character could be more mature than others, or just handles each situation differently.

xxx2. You don't have to have a family
This is the type of roleplay where one can just roleplay "real life". Maybe someone will roleplay to have some romance, but you don't have to. Your character doesn't have to have a family, but they should at least have parents that produced them. If later you character decides to "settle down", don't fight it. Your character may look forward to having children, and a nice simple life. Just let the character and the roleplay develop all on its own.

xxx3. You do have to have a job
It's reality time, yes- you need a job. Either that, or some way of earning money. Adults have to pay the bills, whether they want to or not. You be living with someone to help with those bills, but you still have to pay them. Even when you're not paying bills, you still need money for the necessities of life. Pick what kind of job your character has, or is pursuing or both.

xxx4. But, you don't have to be the perfect.
Many adults roleplayed in this kind of setting can be too "perfect", and really hold no real flaws. No matter what you do, your character will have flaws. It may be flaws they need to change, or simply can't. But, don't be pressured to roleplay the perfect adult figure. No one is perfect.
