It was dark. She couldn't see.
Voices talking amongst each other, bored voices, quiet voices. Everything was dull first, faded. A distant dream.
The roar of something electronic, a loud metallic hiss and then pain that split every single sensation of confusion and replaced it with only sharp, burning agony. Something was drilling right into her, she couldn't see, she couldn't move, bound together by something - everything was -
- And then it didn't matter as the hiss and the drilling noise sharpened and everything once again exploded with raw pain.
A pause. The phantom ache and pain. More quiet voices talking.
And suddenly everything was bright, almost too bright as one of the techs removed her hood. The glimmer of silver, clinical and precise. Two Hunters in white walking around, taking their time as they prepared several utensils in an assortment of trays. Everything was sharp, perfect. There was a light hissing from a pipe attached to her side.
Testing her arms would reveal she was indeed tied down to a cold, metallic surface, looking straight up at the ceiling. Vision was limited: she could barely move her neck. Someone was talking again.
"Hold still."
Pain again. An odd beeping noise, erratic from behind her. Nothing else mattered but the pain. Inu-Mitsu WELCOME TO THE TESTING LABS- This is where captured Halloween creatures go to get permanently disassembled, the ones that are unclaimed, the ones that are entirely useless. While Mitsu can talk, it would take quite a large feat of strength in order to do so. - Mitsu starts off at FULL HP 50/50. - For each time she struggles/ attempts to talk, roll a 4-sided dice. That's the amount of damage she takes. - If she rolls a 4, she can now ask any question to the lab techs (aka: they have paused, and can not question a lab tech (quote Zoobey)). If she rolls anything else, she takes damage from the equipment as they continue to poke and prod and potentially drill holes into her body. - She can roll as many times as she wants.

It had been quite some time since Mitsu had last seen Candace and she was oddly disturbed by the absence. Was she truly alone now? Left to be forgotten in this bright blindingly white place? An odd sort of comfort had developed with the Hunter there, perhaps it was just a means of routine. Something familiar but it meant she was never completely alone. Now.... now it had been days and Mitsu couldn't rightly tell how many had passed. Time had lost its meaning, her fingers ticking away like she had tried to keep track but after counting for so long the numbers began to bleed together.
It was when the muffled noises had entered the room next to hers that Mitsu's ears perked, a small relief filling her beyond all the panic. But, it hadn't been her. It hadn't been Candace. Instead it was two strangers talking and muttering to each other until all Mitsu could hear was the hiss of something above her. She stood then looking to the techs on the other side of the glass.
"What's going on? Where is Candace?" She looked up toward the source of the noise, her heart thundering in her chest. What was happening?
Her eyes turned back toward the techs and she noticed how her vision had oddly slowed, her body wavering feeling suddenly heavy. She rose a hand to her head hoping to keep herself together even as the world began to tilt and shift, the floor coming up fast to meet her. Despite her struggles whatever was battling her was winning, her eyes slowly drifting shut. Her general sense of awareness was beginning to numb but she was certain the last thing she heard was something about being scraps.
---
The next time Mitsu woke it was to searing pain coursing through her body, jolting her from whatever safe haven her mind had made up. Her eyes flew open wide, feeling something wiggling and crawling its way inside her. She fought to the best of her ability not to scream, her teeth clamped down tight over her bottom lip drawing blood. It didn't keep her from writhing and pulling against her restraints, her hands and feet bound with her back to something cold and metallic. Most likely a table.
The sudden addition of a drilling noise had Mitsu trembling, still fighting to keep her fear to a minimum. What had happened? Why was she here? Had Candace lied about her purpose all along or was she not worth using?
As a new pain, white and hot, bloomed from her abdomen Mitsu threw back her head as far as it would go, a scream of agony barely managing to escape her lips. She fought against her bounds again but as was the norm in this place her strength eluded her.
The pain had barely managed to ease when she tried to frantically look around, eyes trying to spot anyone she might know. It was only hopeful thinking, she was in enemy territory after all. Besides, she could hardly move, hardly able to see passed what was above her. There was a glint of white and she barely caught sight of the tech as he hissed for her to hold still,
"Pl-Plea-" Her plea was only drowned out by the sound of the drill again and then eventually her scream as it fill the room.

Shortly after the last burst of pain, Mitsu struggled to regain herself, her eyes blinking wildly to fight the tears that threatened to come. She wasn't sure what to expect, she had been in her little room of confinement so long she had forgotten she was at their mercy. She struggled again her eyes darting to the nearest tech as he paused in his process of torture. " Wh-what are you doing with me?" Her voice was small, hoarse and took more effort than it should have to produce. HP: 49

Her question seemed to fall on deaf ears the techs jabbering and bantering with each other before they went back to work. It seemed they were in debate about something but Mitsu was too panicked to listen. It was unfortunate because it probably involved her. As they approached again she jerked against her bounds, the collar around her throat clacking against the metal table. " Please...what do you want from me?" Her voice was small and pleading, tears still threatening to fall as she looked around. At this point Candace would be a welcome sight.

"Alright, what idiot forgot to turn the off button, I know you're messing around with your weapons golems but that isn't an excuse to follow standard procedure." A strange buzzing noise and then a glint of silver mixed with glowing blue. A nondescript face clad in white and gold looked down. "Hey pipe down okay." A gloved hand stroked her hairline - the texture, the feeling of skin was odd considering they had already shaved her hair off in this form. "It'll all be over soon. This is where the scraps go for science."
Another roar and then something sharp pressing against her neck, sharper still, the glint of silver jutting straight into her throat as-
- For a single, indescribable moment it felt as if someone had torn her throat into several, precise pieces. And yet, she still would not die, she still did not dissipate.
All was silent. Even her now. She could not speak if she even tried. Inu-Mitsu PROCEDURES PART 2:- From hereon forth, it is simply a countdown to death. The procedure itself lasts 30 minutes. Roll a 100-sided dice and match your dice roll to the results below. RP out the results. Roll until your character hits the 0 minute timer and then rp out your death solo. - DEATH SOLO: You can write this at the bottom of your post. - 1-25: You hear a sharp whirring noise as voices chatter above you. Apparently you are yielding unpromising results. - 5 min - 26 - 50: You hear several voices talk about Fear and something about a core and then - once again a burst of pain. You can't see or hear anything for a long few moments that seem to stretch into hours. - 5 min - 51 - 75: The sound of everything else is lost to a loud buzzing noise. For a second you almost hear something else whispering to you, a familiar voice. It offers you to go home- 76 - 100: You phase in and out of consciousness as even the pain seems to ride in waves. You don't understand what's going on. For a second you even forget who you are. Soon now. It'll be soon. Then you can finally close your eyes.

She couldn't help but tremble, eyes locking onto the face that held no distinctive features. Drawing in a struggled breath she flinched against the contact to her head, the sensation odd and unwelcome. What had they done to her hair?
"S-s-science? B-b-b-but Candace," She was stuttering at full force, terrified about what was going to happen. Her mind was running rampant and the rest of her sentence was drowned out by the roar before a sharp pain bloomed from her throat. The pain only intensified as it felt like something was shredding her neck to pieces and somewhere deep in her mind she wished she would just die. She wished for some sort of end to this. Even agreeing to being a weapon seemed more appealing at this point. Would Shun hate her for thinking that? His stern expression flashed before her eyes and she clenched them tightly against the image the tears she had been holding back finally streaming down her face. She was never going to see him again.
When the pain dulled down to complete agony Mitsu opened her mouth to speak again but found she couldn't. She couldn't tell what had happened but it felt like her throat was gone, like it had been ripped out piece by piece leaving her in shock but not numb enough to ignore the pain.
Closing her eyes Mitsu hoped, prayed, and begged Jack for oblivion, her ears picking up the muffled murmurs of the techs as the mutter about unsatisfactory results.

Just when Mitsu didn't think the pain could get any worse she was surprised once again as a new level of agony was reached. Her back arched as she tried to pry herself from the table, her wrists tugging hard at the restraints to the point they were biting into her wrists. She would have yelled out but that was no longer possible, her eyes pleading at the techs for them to stop.
Time lapsed again, minutes even seconds felt like hours...days. How long had she been here? How long had they been doing this to her? And how long were they going to keep it up?

Pain itself was a blessing and in the same right a curse. It let her know she was still alive, still able to feel and connect to the world and yet she wanted to detach herself from it, crawl as far away as her broken body would allow and hide away in the deepest darkest pit. True pain and suffering, she hadn't know what those words truly meant until this moment
Her body jerked and quivered as the pain started again anew, red eyes focused on the ceiling above her. She could hear the tech speaking, something about fear cores and the like but their voices sounded so far away. They could have been talking from the other side of the room for all she knew.

As the voices grew more distant she noticed her pain was beginning to dull. No longer was it intense and in need of her complete and utter attention, it was more of a passing thought as she began to pull away from reality. Her eyes had even began to cloud over, her writhing and pulling slowing until she laid completely still on the table. She could almost hear the tick of the clock as time slipped away from her.
It was in this moment she heard a faint calling. A voice that pulled her toward it offering her a way home. Home? She thought. Was it too much to hope and wish that she would see her home ever again? A place where she could rest her head at night and feel safe, a place free of pain and torture.
The corners of her mouth twitched slightly like she wanted to speak but again she was reminded her voice wasn't there. It didn't keep her from mouthing the word though, the longing clear in her expression. 'Home' she wanted to go home.

Staring blankly at the ceiling above her Mitsu noted now the lights had began to dim, her brain oddly wondering what was wrong with their power for the lights to fade like that. It wasn't until a new wave of pain hit her did everything come back into clarity, the room once again bright and detailed. As the pain began to dull again so did her awareness of her surroundings. Darkness danced at the edges of her vision moving in further and swallowing her sight.
Mitsu no long knew if she was awake, sleeping or just simply dead. Perhaps they had left her in the room and she was by herself now until they returned. If they returned. Maybe they would just leave her here, forget about her. Even strapped into place that would be an improvement over her past state wouldn't it? Then again maybe she was out and she was simply dreaming, thinking and wishing too hard for a safe place for her mind to dwell while they carved away at her body. It was also possible she had simply died and this was the oblivion she had asked for. Quiet dark and safe from pain.
Now that she could finally think, no longer distracted by pain, Mitsu couldn't help but remember her friends, family, and most of all Shun. She had wanted to start a life with him outside of school and now that was never going to happen. Her time had been stolen from her and now all she had were memories, sweet and bitter all at the same time. A part of her hoped Shun would be able to move on as much as it pained her to think about. She didn't want to be forgotten, a selfish part of her held on to the hope he would remember while the other hoped he could still find a way to be happy.
She had just started to contemplate what she was going to do in her dark little abyss when a new pain, raw and intense coursed through her torso jarring her back into the waking world. Her eyes flew open wide, her mouth opening to scream but unable to make a sound. The somewhat undamaged muscles in her legs and arms tensed, pulling hard against her restraints in one last vain effort.
When her body finally went slack again the energy that had kept her going just seemed to drain from her all at once. Glassy eyes began to dull, focusing on the only thing that was in her field of sight, the ceiling. Her gaze was distant and unfocused and she found her mind slipping. Who she was, who she knew, it was blurring and fading into nothing and it was then she knew it would be soon. Not much longer and it would all be over. Dimly she remembered a time when permanent death had frightened her and now she nearly welcomed it with open arms. Her only regret still lingered on the face she wanted to see the most, her reaper. If she knew through all of this she would see him again she would fight, hold on, and not let in to the dark void that already had its grip on her very core. It was that last regret that had tears spilling from the corners of her eyes as everything went dark, her eyelids slowly closing as nothingness claimed her.

To say Candace was unhappy wouldn't be enough. To say she was angry would be an understatement. Candace, for lack of a better word, was <******** furious. Not only had everything ******** up, with her golem being discovered and quickly disposed of by that scumbag, but she'd come back to find Mitsu's cell empty. She had no idea where the girl was. Mitsu was hers. She had been told Mitsu would be safe for observation...was that it? Did they return her? ********, she hoped so. That girl deserved to be back in her own home. She was too weak, there was no way she'd make a good weapon at this point. No ******** way... She had been content to believe Mitsu was back in Halloween until she somehow caught wind of her being disassembled. What. The. <********>. She raced down the halls of the labs as quickly as she could with Atropos hot on her trail until she finally found the room..with a mutilated Mitsu strapped to a table. Candace felt like she was going to be sick, her hands flying to her mouth and her eyes widening as she stumbled back until her body hit Atropos'. "Candace, what--oh my Jack." Atropos held her Hunter's shoulders in a tight grip as she looked upon the scene before them. No..Mitsu. She had liked this ghoul! She had had such spirit and now she was.. Jackdamnit!"Mitsu!" She stepped free from her golem and stood beside the table, tentatively reaching out with a trembling hand to brush her fingers along Mitsu's jaw. Oh god..oh god this was her fault.. no! "What the hell is going on here?!" Candace snapped at the techs, glaring angrily at them. "I thought we were going to just send her back to Halloween when I was done testing her golem. Let me take her back." She was almost pleading.

One of the lab techs briefly stopped playing with his power tool, pulling up his safety goggles with a sigh. "All right, who let this girl in, seriously five is sounding like another mock earthquake test disaster."
Another tech cleared his throat. "Actually, I'm prett sure that's the girl you know. That girl. The one with her experimental golem."
Silence.
"Well," Concluded the first tech, shutting down his machine temporarily. "This is awkward. Please tell me someone gave you a memo regarding waste disposal after a completed mission." Several Hunters in the room all shook their heads. He shrugged. "Too late now, how about this. You get us another specimen and we'll promise to attempt to let you in on the loop on things next time."
He snapped his goggles down and switched the power tool-like object back on, leaning over to Mitsu. "I'd tell this specimen to smile but she's missing half her jaw." A cruel grin. The power tool buzzed loudly.

Disgusting. Candace's eyes narrowed at the first tech when he finally shut off what he was using. No s**t this was awkward. "She was a perfectly healthy subject." Until right ******** now, of course. "I swear to god I will kick you in the face if you--" And then the power tool was turned on again. Candace eyed the straps that held Mitsu. She could undo those...it didn't look too hard. A look was given to her weapon golem and then the poor girl on the ********, when did she sympathize with this girl? No. No. This wasn't sympathy for a monster. This was Candace wanting the girl out of her life...on her terms. "She's mine." Candace pushed at the tech's arms to get them away from Mitsu. "Let me take care of getting rid of her. I brought her here, I'll get rid of her. I'll bring you another specimen to cut to pieces later." Fat chance.

The tech did not take well at all to being manhandled as he was shoved a bit backwards enough to send a few contents on the tray behind him sprawling, nearly gouging himself with his own power tool. He hastily turned it off, all arms and scrawny limbs at the Mist hunter. "Dude, what is your ******** problem b***h? Don't bother people when they're working or did your freak of a mommy not teach you good manners?"

"She taught me to clean up my own ******** mess." She pointed at Mitsu. "And she is my mess." Without another word to the idiot tech she turned and began undoing the straps that held Mitsu down onto the table. If they weren't going to let Mitsu go on their own she'd do it her own damn self.
