It had been a week or two since Dimu had met her new travelling companion, Grinsen, but so far he had been very fun to wander the rogue lands with. Even if they had not exactly found what they were looking for yet, Dimu was stilling having fun with the silver lion. Her first impression of the male had been that he was a flirtacious, almost slightly youthful lion, but the more time she'd spent the with, the dorkier, and sweeter he had proved to be. Every day she spent with him, she grew fonder of him.
Today she was looking forward to another day of traveling and hunting with him. In the days they had been together he had turned her onto Wildeebeast, and she could not believe she had never eaten one before, they were delicious! But besides trying new foods, they had met a few other rogues here and there, asking anyone they came across about this elusive cheetah racing pride Grin wanted to look into. Dimu was happy to join him, even if she was unsure exactly how well she;d fit in, but, he assured her she would make a wonderful nanny if given the chance, and she did love raising and taking care of cubs.
As she stretched and lifted herself from where she had fallen asleep the night prior, she looked around and made her way out from the cave they had claimed as their pit stop. Ears perking forward she heard birds and other animals roaming around near by. A smile crossed her maw as she gazed into the sky, still pale in the early hours.
Mitifu was one of those animals roaming around near by. She hadn't realized that the cave a few yards away from her had been occupied by lions, or she might have stayed clear. Once that blindingly white lioness emerged though, she hunched down, ears perked forward in caution. Lucky for this wild dog, her coat allowed her to blend into the tall savanna grasses fairly easily.
What had been a seemingly easy hunt for breakfast was looking like it would become an encounter with a lion. She only hoped there was only one. One she could handle, she could either just get away without being noticed, or hope this lion wasn't a vicious blood thirsty creature who didn't care what her prey was.SilverLutz I'm tossing my wild dog in here since she will need rps for some flings here in the future, hope that's okay with you. ^_^

Grinsen was sure there were some gods smiling down on him. Sure he had lead a fairly rough but easy life, roaming the rouge lands with nothing much to do. But now all of the sudden he was traveling with a fantastically charming and amazingly gorgeous lioness who laughed at his jokes (even though they WERE hilarious...no one had ever laughed at them before, though) and complimented him on his hunting skills. The fact that she was easy company was amazing in itself, but the idea of possibly having a family to boot was blowing his mind. The lion stirred after he realized he was alone in the cave and opened his yellow eyes to peer around. A huge yawn was followed by a large stretch, and a few moments later he was on his feet. Now where had she gone off to? A quick scan let him know she was off by the mouth of the cave, outside if the brightness had anything to say about it. He really did admire her appearance. He was fairly plain as far as lions went, and his coat was far from splendid. How she was such a successful hunter while looking as radiant as she did was beyond him. Perhaps all the prey just stopped to stare at her beauty. "Good morning," he purred as he poked his head out of the cave. Another stretch later and he was outside with Dimu, shaking his mane free of any little bugs that might have decided to seek shelter there during the night. "What a fantastic day. Not too hot yet, a little cloudy, perfect weather for more walking." He was blissfully unaware of their watcher hidden in the bushes. The wind was blowing in the wild dog's favor. Should it switch, though, there would be two feline eyes trained right on the spot in the grass, for certain. L1m3_gr33n_sh4rp13 Quite all right! She'll be a fun addition. Also, after this RP Grin will have his 5. I'll be more than happy to do more RPs with you if you wish - I can toss some other SoA at Dimu to spice it up a bit =3

Dimu smiled as she was soon joined by Grin. She lightly bumped his side with a shoulder as he stood out to admire the morning with her. "It is a good morning. Though I think it's more perfect for a little hunting, the coolness will mean more prey are out lounging around and that they might still be weary from just waking up." She explained with a smile. It had been fun learning how to fun with someone else, seeing different techniques and approaches was new and interesting.
Indeed Dimu was oblivious to the wild dog hiding in the grass, watching them intently and the gentle breeze wafting through the area was keeping the beast hidden from them. "Shall we go look for an easy breakfast then?" Dimu asked as she turned to look at him, stepping forward a bit into the grasses.
Even if this male with her was not a vibrant eye shattering color, she had to admire his subtle coat; the silvers, greys and lighter charcoals with that ashy white mane complimented him, and Dimu knew if she did end up having cubs with him, they would most certainly be lovely little things; her white fur with the touch of green mixed with his had potential for very stunning pelts.
Mitifu tensed as she heard the lions bantering then began to come right for her. 'Crap' she thought as she slowly began backing up in the grasses, trying very hard not to make the long stalks shift and give away her hiding spot, but even if it did, it was better to be found out this far where she could run instead of having them trip right over her and have an easier chance to snap their large jaws around her little neck.
The one time she decided to venture into the rogue lands for a meal, instead of staying in her pack lands and she was facing a chance of death via lion. Not just one, but two. A male and female. The females were swift and deadly hunters and the males were extremely powerful, more so than this little orange dog. As she continued to back up she felt her paw step on a dried twig and flinched as the 'snap' seemed to be as loud as thunder. Heart beating quickly she peered over at the lions, hoping they wouldn't notice. But she knew they likely would.
SilverLutz This will put Dimu at 2 finished ^^; I haven't played her in almost a year and the one other rp she has doesn't look like it will get finished anytime soon.

"Ooh, easy and breakfast in the same sentence? Can't pass that up," Grin joked with a little laugh. He found himself laughing a lot more genuinely around Dimu than usual. His laughs usually had a sarcastic edge to them, but lately they had been pure delight through and through. "Lead the way, dear Dimu," he said with a wave of his paw as she started forward. He had been calling her 'dear Dimu' for a few days now, liking how it flowed over his tongue. That and she had gotten flustered the first time he had used it, so now it was a bit of an inside joke between them. That and she really was quite the dear, very polite and always quick to help him when he needed it. As he followed her, he heard a snap a few yards ahead of them and slightly to their left. He froze, ears perked as his eyes trained on the spot in the tall grass. "Did you hear that?" he murmured quietly, straining to catch any sort of movement. It was difficult with the breeze blowing the tips of the grass around, masking any animal that might be trying to break for it. Someone was over there, that was for certain. Was it possibly their breakfast? L1m3_gr33n_sh4rp13 Oh dear! Dimu needs some RP XD I've got two very different cubs - one is a spunky cheetah and the other is a rather cold leopard - if you'd like to do some individual RP with them and Dimu. They're both in the rouge lands right now, so it could be that she's gone off to look for water or something while Grin is off getting food or sleeping or some such thing.

Dimu was about to speak when she heard the sound, and her eyes snapped towards where it had come from. She lowered herself slightly and began to quickly stalk forward, the breeze easily covering her movements just as they did the other creatures. Her tail twitched behind her as she glanced back at Grin before moving forward some more and then sprung forward, pouncing and landing on... a wild dog?
Just as she pinned the creature, the snarl on her maw faded and she blinked down at the little dog looking terrified up at her. "Oh. It's only a wild dog." She said with a slightly amused expression.
Many bad words coursed through the dogs head as she realized from the silence they had spotted her. She continued to try to sneak away, but the lioness was better at hunting than Mitifu was at escaping and in the blink of an eye the dog found herself pinned under the lioness. Just when she thought those massive teeth were going to end her existence, the lioness stopped and looked down at her amused, even telling the other 'it's only a wild dog.'
"Just a wild dog!?" Mitifu found herself blurting out, almost offended. What, were wild dogs not at all threatening- okay, well, to a lion, she supposed she should expect such a reaction. But hey, she was still alive, so that had to say something about these lions tastes, right? Either they didn't like to eat dog, or they were sadistic and liked to toy with their food... "Mind getting off?" Sh whined almost indignantly before Dimu obliged and stepped off of the smaller female.
SilverLutz Well, Dimu just needs 2 more rps, including the one we finished and this one : D And yeah that'd be great, either one. Dimu can meet whoever you feel like throwing at her ^.^

Grin watched Dimu as she crouched and disappeared into the grass. He remained where he was until he heard her speak again, not wanting to get in the way. He tilted his head and lifted himself up a bit to try to peer over the tall grass. No such luck. "A wild dog?" he said and, indeed, a yappy voice returned the statement. Oh, he had seen a few from far away, but never right up close. This could prove to be very interesting! He pushed forward through the grass in time to see Dimu step off the spotted canine. Aw...she was so small next to the lioness...how cute! "Well hello there, little lady," he said with a wide grin, not bothering to make it a nice one. "And what were you doing sneaking around in the grass like that?" He had no intention of hurting her, but teasing her a bit certainly wouldn't hurt. He'd drop his little game soon enough, but it was always a good laugh to give a newcomer like this a little scare. "Certainly not a very good idea when there's two hungry lions about." L1m3_gr33n_sh4rp13 Oh, I see XD I can have her meet Haiba, the cheetah cub. He's the more friendly of the two. I'll set up an RP for them =3

Dimu had to give this dog credit for her spunk. Not many smaller creatures would mouth off to a lioness like herself. Though she wasn't exactly intimidating, she was a lioness and a stealthy huntress. As her companion moved to join her staring down at the little orange dog she chuckled softly. "Indeed, it is a bad idea to sneak around where two lions are hunting."She informed the smaller female with a polite tone. Even with someone being as hostile and snippy as this dog, Dimu was always polite and tried to be friendly. Besides, this wasn't her first wild dog encounter.
"So what are you doing sneaking around out here little one? I could have killed you, but luckily, for you, I do not eat other predators." She turned to look at Grin, his large grin making her own smile wider. He had such an infectious personality, his jokes made her laugh and his stories made her smile. She couldn't remember the last time she had been in such a good mood traveling with someone like this.
Mitifu pulled herself to her feet and shook her coat out, though a few broken strands of dried grass stuck out of her tail here and there. "For your information, I had no idea you were here. I was just trying to find breakfast then all of a sudden I see you two come out of that cave." She said hotly, obviously in a bad mood after being pounced on. She looked over herself as she spoke, as if trying to make sure nothing was broken, even flexing a paw to see if it hurt to move. She seemed fine for the moment.
"It's good you don't eat Wild Dog, we're too gamey and tough, or so I'm told. I bet I'd give you a really bad stomach ache too." She seemed almost proud of this information as she nodded at the two then eyed them both cautiously, ears folded back a bit. "What are the two of you doing out here?"

Grinsen nodded in agreement as he lifted his head a bit, swishing his tail to move the tickly grass away from his legs. He was glad he wasn't starving, otherwise this little chat session would be cut short as he pressed on, looking for food. As it was, he cocked his head to the side in amusement as the dog fluffed up a bit in pride for being horrible to eat. Well, it certainly would keep other, larger predators at bay. "Duly noted. Predators aren't my thing, either. There's a respect there that you shouldn't break." Just because one predator stole something from another sometimes, or they fought for the best hunting grounds, didn't meant that they turned around and ate each other. "We're in the process of finding a pride," he said as the question was asked. "We're not too sure where to even begin looking, though...you haven't heard anything about a cheetah-racing pride, have you? Supposedly run by lions but accepting of all species, feline or canine." He wished he had more information than that on it, but all he had heard thus far he had just said. A pity, really. He wanted to know more about his potential future home.

Mitifu looked between the two for a moment, thinking and analyzing the pair as her tail swished in slight annoyance. Well, at least they were not going to eat her. That was good. But his question baffled her. A cheetah racing pride? "Are you two mates or something then? Looking for some pride to call your own?" She asked bluntly, eyeing the way their body language was together.
She sat, seeming to relax slightly as the pair seemed to be completely the opposite of hostile. Perhaps they were not sadistic bastards who toyed with their food first. The idea stayed in her mind, but, she seemed less convinced at the moment. "No, I haven't." She said softly, letting her gaze rest on the male now. "Maybe go ask some cheetahs? I do not normally affiliate with felines. I'm part of an exclusive dog only pack." She informed them with a bit of pride. Sure she wasn't in her pride lands, but she was still proud to be in her pack, even if she needed to run off and explore every now and then.
Dimu blinked and seemed to grow bashful at the question of them being a mated pair, she looked to Grin and then chuckled quietly, "Uh, no, not really, we're just... traveling together." She said a little quickly. Truth be told she was unsure what the two of them were, or what they would become. The more time she spent with Grin, the more she liked him, but was unsure of how he felt about her. Sure, he flirted, but was that just how he was? She shook the thought off and then frowned a bit at the dog not knowing about the pride. Oh well. "Oh, I'm M'Dimu by the way."

The wild dog's bold comment made Grin laugh again, but this time it was weaker, slightly embarrassed, and he cut it short as he glanced at Dimu. She looked a bit bashful as well, and he wondered if she would end up being his mate. Up until this point he had always considered himself 'doomed' to live life as a bachelor. Females usually were either turned off by his flirtatious advances or found him to be rather intolerable with his jokes and mildly clumsy behavior. He could remember his father telling him there'd be a girl out there for him, but he had never believed him. Was Dimu really that lioness? "What she said," he murmured, still a bit too shy to meet either of their eyes. "Just friends." More would be welcome, of course. Any lion would be honored to call such a sweet, gorgeous female their mate. "Ah...Grinsen," he added. His manners had certainly improved quite a bit when dealing with strangers ever since he had started on this journey with Dimu. The sarcastic tone to his voice was very rare to emerge when he was around her, so to anyone they met he was fairly kind. "And you are?"

A quick glance between the two lions told Mitifu anything she needed to know, and the way they became bashful told her what words could not. A roll of her eyes showed just how enthusiastic she was about bringing up something it seemed the two had yet to bring up together, alone. Great, Mitifu started something... She at least hoped they would wait until she had left before getting into -that- topic. "Er, I'm Mitifu..." She said quickly as she eyed the pair and thought for a moment.
"Right. Friends... So what are two friends doing looking for a cheetah racing pride? Which, by the way, sounds ridiculous. I bet it was started by lions and they race cheetahs for their own amusement." She idea seemed dumb to Mitifu. She had heard stories from her mother about the Hyena pack that owned Wild Dogs as slaves and how they used them for amusement, beat them and even bred them to other dogs they didn't even know just for more slaves. This pride the lions spoke of sounded like it was probably a bit better to the cheetahs, but still morally off to this dog.
Dimu blinked as she watched the wild dog as she seemed unimpressed by the idea of the pride. The lioness frowned a bit. She doubted it seemed as bad at this, Mitifu, was making it out to be. From what Grin had told her, the Cheetahs were treated like Kings when they won. None of them -had- to race or be there. They were there by choice, right? She was sure of it. Cheetah were too fast to be held in slavery by lions, even if obtained as cubs when they got older they could escape if it was so bad, right?
Her bashfulness was gone now as the wondered quietly about this Pride. Doubt began to peck at her as the dogs words sunk in. But with a deep breath and a slow exhale, Dimu realized if it was so bad, she could just walk away and find another home. No one would force her to stay if it was bad. And like she thought, it wouldn't be that bad. Cheetahs had speed and wit. "I think you're just pessimistic." Dimu said softly and gently to the dog with a nod.

Grinsen cleared his throat a bit as the topic moved away from himself and Dimu. She had gotten a bit flustered at the assumption as well, he had noticed. Maybe this was a topic to talk about once they were on their way again. He had felt like she had been returning his flirtatious advances a bit more readily the past few days...that boded well for him. He turned his attention back to Mitifu who was suddenly dissing his pride. He lifted his head and narrowed his eyes, his tail lashing back and forth in irritation. This little pipsqueak didn't even know what pride he was asking about and here she was bad-mouthing it! The nerve... "We're lookin' for a pride to call home, and this one seemed pretty relaxed, which is what we both would like," Grin said with a sniff. He'd enjoy the laid-back lifestyle, and Dimu would hopefully find it a suitable place to raise cubs. Maybe their cubs. Ah, he could dream. "And yeah, that was kinda a 'lake half empty' comment. Really don't need those, pooch. Not when we've been lookin' for this place for so long."

Mitifu rolled her eyes at the male as he got defensive. "Right, well, I guess that's why you're looking for it, and not me." She replied with an even, almost bored tone as she lifted a paw and nibbled on the back of it to get to an itch. "Either way, I've not seen nor heard of such a pride. My best suggestion would be to go to where cheetah's are. There are sure to be some who might know what you're talking about."
Dimu felt a change of topic might be best as she watched the dog and Grin get increasingly irritated with one another. "So.. Mitifu was it? What are you doing out here this morning? Did we accidentally stumble close to some pack lands?" She asked curiously, peering around the savanna, wondering if perhaps some little dog pack was hiding out in some low cliffs with caves.
Mitifu became tense again as she was asked about her pack. "No. They are a ways from here, I'm out on my own to have some me time. Living in a crowded place gets annoying in too long of periods so I escape every now and then. And don't try looking for them, they don't like non dogs."SilverLutz So. We're past 10 posts and 1,000 words, so if you want to wrap it up that works and we can bust out the other rp and such? After this and the cheetah one I will need 2 more, but I think I can srp those pretty quickly. I have one rp lined up with someone, but they haven't even gotten to replying to it yet, so, I'm not holding my breath for that one to be finished soon. Edit: Darn, Blu Chalk entered the wild dogs you and her own, so I guess we shall have to wait until next month for Grin and Dimu. Oh well, doesn't hurt to get everything ready now for September! : D

Grin snorted quietly at the reply and rather flippant tone in Mitifu's voice. Well, la te da, it was a good thing he wasn't planning on sticking around much longer. Dimu, bless her soul, did a good job switching the subject, but that darn dog brought it right back down into that defensive tone of hers. Grin wasn't impressed. "Not to worry, little pup. We can't be bothered with a pack of dogs right now. And since you seem so keen to be left alone, we'll do just that. Let's go, Dimu. I'm getting rather hungry and if the only thing around is this eyesore, I might just change my mind about not eating other predators." Of course he wasn't serious, but he wanted to let Mitifu know that any sort of backtalk to his dear Dimu wouldn't be tolerated. He turned to go, flicking his tail in annoyance as he headed back they way they had come through the grass. "I know a place where there's a bunch of cheetahs. Maybe we can go there and ask them. I'm pretty sure it's close by." Once he was out of the grass he set off to the north, pausing to let Dimu catch up with him. He let his shoulder bump against hers and he flashed her a reassuring smile, his bad mood gone, and continued to talk about what he hoped the pride would be like as he walked on. L1m3_gr33n_sh4rp13 Last post from me~ One down, few more to go. Grin's all set for RPs now for a breeding, but he's obviously open to more with 'dear Dimu' XD
