Spool-knitting's really similar. Have you ever tried that?
I learned it at camp about 2 weeks ago at camp so currently I only know how to make scarves and I have no more yarn. TwT
I've never tried it before.
If you go to a thrift store, you might find some yarn for really cheap. Most of the yarn that I've acquired is from thrift stores, and they average around 99 cents a skein. My mom also gets a bunch of coupons from Joann's and Michael's and sometimes I'll buy a skein with one.
It's the exact same concept as finger-knitting, except you use a round tube with four prongs on top to make a tube. Once you have a tube, you can make little animals and stuff. I know that spool-knitting kits are really cheap and if you wanted, you could make your own knitting spool out of an empty thread spool and some pins/nails really easily.

I love using the circle loom to knit things emotion_kirakira Here is a reusable bag I knitted using plastic shopping bags.
I crochet a couple of times when i feel like it... I've only made like two Rastafari Berets though... And i don't have images xD I dunno what i wanna try working on next... Maybe just a simple hat with some crochet-flowers on it or something. Those are pretty.
I need to get my camera and take pictures- I have been crocheting for over 3 decades. I crochet just about anything you can imagine from scarves to afghans to, my favorite, whole sets for babies- caps, sweaters, booties and the crib blankets. I don't like to sell what I make. I usually make things to give away as gifts. My daughter usually taps me for at least 1 hat and scarf set a year, sometimes with a matching purse. I can make one of those in about 2 days. Whole baby sets take about 3-4 days with the blanket. Afghans take a bit longer, depending on the size.
I admit that I do not like to knit. It is boring and you don't get very far very fast. Crocheting gives you faster results. Also, with crocheting, there's very little chance of missing a stitch and if you do, it is so much easier to go get it and catch up!

Thanks biggrin...It's simple, really. I just cut the plastic bags into 1 inch strips and knotted them together and it made yarn, haha. Wow, your knits look intricate. Is the mint color one in the last pic a hat?
