 Marcus paced within his room. He was not content, at all. Something was tormenting his mind and it wouldn't let him sleep. He sighed lightly and picked up his sword throwing it over his back, he would go try and take a walk to see if he could convince his body to sleep. Everyone else in the house was asleep seeing how it was around midnight. He lightly padded down the stairs and exited the house. He looked right, then left debating where to go. He decided upon the Greenhouse Gardens, a nice serene place where he could stare at the stars and let the night envelope him. He turned in that direction and headed off at a brisk pace.

 Malrin sighed as she trailed her paw through the water of the small pond she was sitting at. It was so quiet. So peaceful. She could spend the rest of her days here, traveling down the paths, watching the stars and moon appear, see them reflected in the water. Stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Yes. She could stay here for a good while.

Marcus wandered into the Greenhouse Gardens, occasionally he patrolled the area for phoxes who needed rescuing, but he didn't come here often unless he felt a need to. Tonight, he felt that need. He slowed down and began to walk more slowly, enjoying the night air and the stars above him. He looked up, but continued walking, uncaring where he was going, after all no one else was around. He was walking until -- 'bump!' -- Marcus looked down suddenly jumping back and shaking his head. He had run into something. He looked down to see a golden phox with a stunning pelt that reflected the moonlight and he caught his breath for just a moment.

Malrin was definitely not expecting anyone to run into her. Nor was she expecting to get a face full of water as her unbalance could not be corrected by her paws in time to stop her from going face first into the water. On the bright side she supposed, it was just her face and not her whole body.
Sputtering, Malrin wiped at the water in her eyes. "Oh dear." Blinking away what she could not wipe away, Malrin frowned at the male there. "Do watch where you are going please."

"Oh, oh I'm so sorry!" He blushed lightly and sputtered. He took off his cape throwing it around the female for her to use to wipe her face off. "My greatest apologizes madam! I didn't think anyone would be here." He bowed deeply. "My name is Marcus and I'm in your debt for my mistake." He bowed deeply to the female not wanting to look up before he got a response. He was so embarrassed by his clumsiness.

Malrin took a moment to wipe her face off with the offered cape. She handed it back with a murmered 'Thank you.' At Marcus's declaration, she blinked. "I am Malrin, and there is no need for that sir. As long as you have learned to look even if you think that there is no one else around, all is well."
She looked back up at the sky. "I do not see why anyone would not be here at this time though. It is all so beautiful."

Marcus nodded at the lady's words, keeping his head down and taking back his cape which he threw back around his back. "I will from now on watch extremely carefully where I am going." He finally looked up then as the young lady began talking about the sky. "Ai, a great place to think if one can't sleep."

"Then you are forgiven." She didn't look at the male, instead keeping her gaze at the sky. "It is peaceful, watching them. Almost able to lull one to sleep if one stared at them for so long." One paw played with the beads on her paw. "Is that why you are out here? Sleep was eluding you?"

He listened to the sound of her beads, closing her eyes and imagining it to be the sound of wind blowing through a wind chime. He sat down feeling the imaginary wind on his face... Out in nature under the stars on a magical night.
"Yes, in fact." He opened his eyes and looked at her. "I seem to have much on my mind right now." He smiled. "And why is such a lovely lady as you out here?"

"How unfortunate. Or fortunate perhaps depending on those thoughts correct. Of course, if it is thoughts keeping you from sleeping, then they must be bad thoughts. Perhaps you might want to talk about them?" Malrin looked at Marcus, blushing slightly at him calling her a lovely lady. "I just wanted to see the stars before I slept. I prefer seeing a gorgeous sight such as them to be the last thing I see before I close my eyes."

He pondered what to tell the young lady, she seemed like an open person to talk to. "Well I seem to have a dilemma." He glanced over at her and smiled lightly. "You see, I've been training for years to be an epic warrior, hence, the sword." He gestured toward the sword on his back. "And I patrol the areas around here in search of an adventure. A maiden to be rescued from a dragon or monster. A great jousting tournament or just someone in need of assistance. But, during my wanderings, I've found little to none of this." He pawed at the ground. "I've been wondering if this is what I should be doing with my life. If this is my mission, you know?" He looked up at her smiling. Her reason for being out here was so simple and pure, just like she seemed to be.
