City Streets Field: Broken tar and faded yellow lines make up the “street” that runs down the exact center of the battle field. On either side of the road are sidewalks with pieces of concrete here and there. Fake building walls, complete with broken glass windows and grime lining the surface, limit the amount of maneuverable space on land. Trash cans and trash bags decorate the street. A sewer grate nearby continually pours a stream of fog into the air which, unfortunately, helps spread the horrible stench of the trash. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to POISON type attacks.

Zebo let out a small hiss when he saw the state that the stadium was in. It smelled and reminded him of poison. Which, of course, reminded him of that gastly that he had a grudge against... But he refused to back down. If he couldn't overcome this, then it would just be proof that he was weak!

Zinnia frowned. This time they would be at the disadvantage, but she had given a lot of thought to their strategy. They still had a chance.

Lenore walked into the stadium with a long sleeve covering her nose, Mephistopheles at her side. She sent out Jin-Gitaxias, making sure not to inhale to deeply.

Jin-Gitaxias marveled at the pollution surrounding him. Truly, a holy grail!

"Use Dark Pulse!" Zinnia shouted. Her voice sounded a bit odd because she was plugging her nose.

Zebo did his best to ignore the smell, which was no easy feat to his sensitive cat nose. He sent out a ring of dark energy toward Jin-Gitaxias.

The dark energy slammed into Jin-Gitaxias, but he held his ground. "Such a beautiful scene, wouldn't you agree? Let us try to make it even more breathtaking!"

As he spoke, even more smog began to fill the streets.

"Dark Pulse, again!" Zinnia commanded.

Zebo was able to dodge the smog and released another pulse of negative energy. If he could just avoid getting poisoned, maybe he could win.

The dark energy slammed into Gitaxias again. He continued to fill the arena with more smog.

"Whassa matter? No experiments today?" Zebo asked, starting to get overconfident. He fired another Dark Pulse.

Jin-Gitaxias was knocked back by the blast. "Hm. The intrinsic smog seems to be nullifying the effects of my own, but I must endeavor for Science."

He blew much more smog into the field than before.

"Come on, Zebs! Dark Pulse!" Zinnia called.

Zebo said a very rude word to Gitaxias in Pokemon. He let out another ring of dark energy.

Gitaxias dodged the blast of dark energy. "Oh, my word. Are you normally like that, or is the poison getting to your head again?"

The smog around Zebo turned into needles and began dropping down around him like an air raid.

"Concentrate, Zebs!" Zinnia reminded him.

"(I know, I know,)" he said to himself, firing another Dark Pulse at the gastly.

Mephistopheles was slammed into a wall by the dark pulse. "And so ends our experiment for today. You've been a wonderful specimen, as always, but this area seems intent upon thwarting my efforts for Science."

The gastly expanded rapidly, exploding in a shower of gas and poison.

Zebo had been particularly quick on his feet in this battle thanks to experience and training, so he was able to dodge the explosion as well. He stood still for a moment, half-expecting to be poisoned again, but... the ghost was gone.

"(I won!)" he exclaimed. "(I mean... of course I won!)" He walked proudly back to Zinnia.

"You did wonderfully, Zebs!" Zinnia exclaimed, picking up her purrloin and hugging him. "I'm so proud of you!"
