It had been a while since she had seen any of her siblings. They had been close as cubs, but as with most families, as they all got older, they all began to wander off on their own. It made Euthalia sad thinking about it sometimes. She had loved her sisters so much, especially her twin, even if Coeus had been a little bit of a stick in the mud. But the thing she missed the most was having someone to play with. Out here, alone, Thalia grew bored just playing these games with herself.
With a sigh Thalia puled herself up onto a rock that peaked out above the grasses and let the moonlight shine down on her. Her dark form rolled to lay on her back and she lifted a paw to uselessly bat up at the moon in the sky, even though she knew she could never reach it.

Maji was starting to adjust to her new home, not even bothered by the technical title of 'beloved slave'. She could still be herself, could still do much in the coalition. She could still tell her stories. And...she could help create a family for Chani. A large one. Full of little ones who looked to him as 'father'. The cheetah was out admiring the stars for a bit, thinking of new stories to go with the pictures she found in them, when she spotted a dark figure above the grasses. Oh? Curious, the cheetah made her way over, keeping low in the grasses until she was close. And then...she just popped up, sitting with her head tilted to one side.
"Hello, there. I don't believe we've met." Maji, always an outgoing sort.

The leopons ears perked and she jumped to a sitting position, staring curiously at the cheetah as she heard the other speak. Her pale eyes searched over the female quickly and a smile formed on her maw. How lucky Thalia was to meet someone on what seemed to be a boring night. Her tail swished happily behind her as she caught the sweet tone of the others voice.
"Oh hello, hello! I didn't think anyone was out here tonight! I am Euthalia, it is so nice to meet you." The energetic female was just brimming with excitement at the potential to meet a new friend, and a female too. Not that she had anything against males, she just felt naturally more comfortable with females.

Oh good! The other wasn't a violent sort! "I'm Maji, nice to meet you as well." She accompanied the introduction with a little bow. "And I'm out here tonight to see what stories I can find in the stars. You'd be surprised what tales they tell, despite their silence!" She'd found many a story before within them. Tales of love, tales of courage, tales of obsession and greed...They held much within them.

"Maji? Nice to meet you." Thalia replied in a sweet tone, and truly she was glad to meet the cheetah. She had seen a few here and there, but not one so brightly colored. The soft sage green of her pelt was lovely and reminded Thalia of the color of her own nose, and the little freckles of aqua were grand too.
The mention of looking to the stars for stories caused the eager leopon to snap her gaze upward, ears perked curiously as she tried to see if she could find a story up there, but it all just looked like little blinky lights to her. "You must see something I can't then.." She lowered her gaze more carefully to the cheetah, trying not to snap her own neck as she did. "What sort of stories do you hear or see or whatever from the stars?"

Maji giggled at the leopon, motioning to what looked like a river of stars in the sky. "I see many stories. For example...that river of stars? It separates two lovers from one another, simply because the female's father did not like the lowly rank of the male." She smiled. "But once a year...the celestial waters recede just a little, and other creatures come to help, making it possible for them to see one another again." It was a story she'd loved as a cub, one that she would never stop putting new little touches to.

Ears perked in curiosity as she listened, then lifted her maw to gaze at the stars, peering curiously at the river the cheetah mentioned. Separated lovers? How sad that must be, for the two to not see one another but once a year. Thalia frowned slightly thinking about it. "What a sad story." Thalia had no love for anyone, not in a romantic way, anyways, but she could imagine what it might be like.
"Do you know anymore? Maybe one not so sad?" The leopon asked with a distraught expression as she turned her pale gaze back to Maji. Thalia didn't want to think about any sad stories, there was already so much to be sad about in life, such as the inevitable death all creatures faced, so she preferred to think about happy things.
