Before she even entered the room she slipped off her boots. The key turned softly in the lock as she opened the door sliding in carefully so as not to let too much light into the shadows room. Purple eyes where all that lit the place in a dim glow as she watched Siddie curled up in bed. It was growing late and it was no surprise to find her ghoulfriend curled up for the night.
"Hey Sid," she whispered softly before moving across the room, her jacket shrugged off and pants left behind as she slid under the covers to wrap her arms around the cool warmth of the shadowy figure. Her fore head coming to rest just against the back of her neck as she settled in with her.
"It's still early, you maybe... want to have some eyescream or something?"

Siddie wasn't asleep quite yet; she turned her head slightly as Sammy slipped into bed with her, nestling back against her ghoulfriend and turning just enough to see the purple glow of the zombie ghoul's eyes. "Hi," she said softly. "Eyescream? I'm not very hungry, but it would taste nice." She didn't move, though, content to be cuddled.

"Mmm maybe later, or tomorrow then?" She tilted her head offering a soft kiss against the spot her head hat once been resting as she scooted closer in bed to the other ghoul. "It's nice... we haven't done this in a while we've all been so busy..." It was rare for Sammy to ever seem so, soft. For a lack of better terms she was a brash and slightly perverted ghoul so the fact that she was simply content to just cuddle was an unusual treat for them both.

"Okay." Siddie sighed, a sound that wasn't quite disquiet. "I don't think I've seen you for days," she added, sounding faintly surprised. "What have you been doing?"

The guilt sank in ever so slightly as Siddie asked that question. Her forehead was back again and it was obvious she was trying to think of the right words in this moment. "I've been dealing with a lot of things since the whole... kidnapping thing." She shifted resting against Siddie's shoulder now. "I was visiting Amrita, I've been worried about her since she was taken... Israfel, Israfel never came back, Jericho is gone... and I just... Siddie I'm scared for once. I'm angry, and worried, and the only solution is just as dangerous as doing nothing."

Siddie nodded and tucked her head against Sammy's shoulder. "I don't know what to do either," she said softly. "I guess that's why I've been not doing much." Clove eeled out from under her pillow, and she gathered the shadow drutten onto her chest, stroking its long body. "Not doing anything is probably bad. But I'm scared."

"I can't blame you for being that way at all... the only thing I know how to do is fight." Her arms twined carefully around Siddie, offering Clove a scratch on the head as she cuddled them both to her chest. "I have... an idea. But the risk... and I just, Siddie, I don't want to lose you but the things I might have to do, for you, for the school for the people I care about. I want to protect you. Everyone, but I don't know how much that might cost..."
Medea always spoke of offering power, but what would the cost truly be?

"I can't fight well enough," Siddie sighed. "I feel like a doll some days. Just good for looking pretty and maybe saying nice things." She wrapped her arm around Sammy's shoulders. "What are you talking about?" she asked, a thread of worry creeping into her voice. "What idea?"

"You can too fight, you made it through the Horsemens island, you're still here after all the times we've met the hunters. You don't give yourself enough credit..." The arm wound around her shoulder burned bone shifting to stroke the fingers draped over her as they spoke. "I'm talking about the Horsemen Sid... they keep coming back regardless of what the hunters did, you've seen them, you sparred with them. They have power, power we can use to protect this place... I just don't know what they would ask of us in turn for said power."

Siddie shook her head slightly. "I was lucky," she said softly. She twined her fingers with Sammy's bony ones, listening; she was quiet for a long time after Sammy spoke. "The Horsemen scare me too," she offered finally. "They're - they're different. Do we really have to choose? Hunters or Horsemen?"

"You where strong," the phrase was followed by soft cool lips pressed against the back of her neck, "Luck isn't a matter of things any more, what happens from now on is up to us. And what we do." The silence was welcomed, the only sound was Clove and Siddie, their breathing the faintest hint of sound compared to her dead form.
"They worry me too, but would you rather have Hunters around the school attacking us? Or horsemen who we can at least trust to some minimal degree?" She grew quiet, "I don't like how they view the Humans, the non-Hunters... but that's a pill to swallow I'd rather take then Hunters taking us away."

Siddie shivered faintly. "It's up to us," she echoed. "That's pretty scary too, isn't it?"
She sighed. "I'd rather have the horsemen," she agreed, "but it's like ... " She trailed off, searching for words. "It's like they don't eat Fear, they eat hate instead," she attempted to explain.

"Terrifying," she agreed, "We've lost others already, but we can't ignore that, we can't just pretend everything is going to be okay."
Eventually the two agreed ever so slightly on the horsemen. "Probably a good bit of both. They must love me then considering how angry I get..." She grew quiet for a moment before suddenly shifting under the sheets rolling over Siddie to lay on the other side tugging the ghoul close resting her forehead against her's
"Siddie... if I went to them, would you do the same?"

"I don't know what we can do," Siddie said, and curled into a tighter ball. "How do we fight things like that without losing our own cores? Without losing what makes us - well - us?"
The sudden movement and the question startled her, and she pulled back for a moment, then rested against Sammy again. "Don't - don't ask me that," she whispered. "There's no right answer. I can't answer."

"I'm still the same person I was, even with everything thats happened, my core might be different..." Her purple eyes seemed to dim slightly in sadness as she glanced at the blackened bone, "But I still believe in the same ideals I started with. Nothing can simply change that on a whim."
She didn't follow after Siddie when she moved away, she waited, waited for the ghoul to come back on her own terms to rest against her before embracing her again.
"I'm sorry, I know that isn't an easy thing to think about but... If I go, I just want to know, to hope, that if I went alone even, that you would still love me. That I could still have something from this. From this school as a student as a friend, that wouldn't change no matter what."
