1. Once your opponent cannot continue you are the victor.
2. Try not to endanger the audience... It's bad press.
3. There's a Judge. Don't get in their way. They're there to judge you after all.

Beniyasha stands as a statue in the center of the stadium as the two Chunin hopefuls step forward. Once on the line there would be a pause, and then he would raise his hand and throw it toward the ground to signify the fight was on.

Hariko Mizu, The Cold Demon

Hariko stepped forward, onto the line, waiting for his opponent. He would have to bring this to a fight under his environment from the start if he wanted to assure himself a victory. He was an assassin. He was stealth and swiftness. He needed to beat his opponent quickly, even if that meant killing them.

User Image The cloaked figured walked into the arena and holds up his left ‘arm’, which reveals a large set of claws made from a pitch black metal. ”This is the time to quit now if you like.” He speaks out, though not in a harsh tone, as he peers at the Mizu boy before him. Katsurou’s mind flicked though some of the clans that he had to memorize in academy till he remembered Mizu. They were mostly assassins with power over water and the more skilled members controlling ice. So this boy was going to try to use Suiton and Hyouton against him, least it wasn’t Katon. The male figure grabbed at the cloak with his right hand and effortlessly pulled it off and away from him in a single move. This reveals Katsurou to the Mizu, and shows off some of the light armor plates on the boy’s clothes. Despite the looks, his armor plates really didn’t add any more weight than needed and by far the heaviest piece of equipment was that black, metal claw. While drawing the long dai-katana from its sheathe on his back, the boy slide into his fighting stance. That of the Shirasagi no Jou, which hasn’t been seen out of Hidden Moon nor seen in Hidden Moon for hundreds of years. Confident that his opponent couldn’t match his movement or pin this style, Katsurou begins to move towards him, in very fluid yet hard to read motions. Like any predator, open and easily read moves gave the prey the edge. Still nothing moved like Katsurou as not a single step made a sound or left a trace that he had been there.

Shirasagi no Jou
This sword style was inspired by the fabled White Heron. It's ghostly presence and graceful movements inspired this branch of swordsmanship, which holds balance as it's forte. Hariko Mizu, The Cold Demon

Hariko calmly watched reach them. As the match was begun, the man offering him a chance to quit. Hariko responded. "I could say the same to you. I warn you, I won't hold back, even from killing you if I have to." He grabbed a strange looking piece of metal. He attached it to his chest. The foul spider armor expanded over his form, covering it in steel. The armor was lilith and, set for Hariko, and built for speed. Attached to it's back, hidden for now, were four steel bladed tendrils, that could be extended and controlled at will. The armor had a white and black, almost skeletal appearance. He faced his opponent and quickly formed hand seals as the man moved in closer. Rising waves of cold flowed from him, as ice formed along the ground. This cold flowed over the area inside the arena, just below the stands to avoid doing them any harm. The cold on the battle field would slow his opponent's movements and weaken him. If he was a truely weak opponent, he would succumb to the forming ice and be given frost-bite, or even frozen over. Hariko then made his move. He formed hand seals, as the part iof the armor over his mouth retracted. He kneaded chakra into water chakra within, and released it. Water Style: Water Bullet He exhaled a series of many water spheres, the size of small cannon rounds. They flew with great blunt force at his opponent, as the ice continued to expand across the ground where they fought.

User Image Katsurou smirked as his fellow Genin refused his offer and returned to him with a shallow threat attached to the end. It was cute really, he had accurately predicted the Mizu’s abilities and now had a slight knowledge of what to expect from the opponent. This is a major upside for him, were as he still hadn’t revealed anything that would aid his opponent in figuring to his ability. Soon the Mizu boy covered the ground in a coat of ice, though not to the point in which to save the crowd the cold bite. As for Katsurou, his boots easily protected his feet from the cold, while never really touching it anyway. Using one of his clan’s abilities, the Gekkou male still moved over the ice just as gracefully as he had before. Next was to counter the water bullet that was fired at him, but he wasn’t a master of Doton so countering the Suiton would be harder than casting a simple jutsu to defend. Quickly thinking, the male leap to his left, before; flickering out of sight only for three or four copies of him to reappear around the Mizu. Each of them moved as gracefully and fluidly as the real Katsurou so it would make it hard for his opponent to tell from him and them. All of them moved in fast and each seemingly used the Shirasagi no Jou style, as they moved each made a sword strike at the Mizu but only a single blow would land. Katsurou stood to the right of his opponent and his Kuchibashi aimed for part of the boy’s neck and shoulder, while his other copies all aimed at various other parts of the body. Some of those included; neck, heart, diagonal slash through the torso, and aiming for the legs. The boy threatened his life, so he might as well bring some fear into him to show he wasn’t an opponent to be trifled wish.

Hariko Mizu, The Cold Demon

Hariko moved quickly as Jatsurou and his clones approached. The swordsman had dodged the bullets using high speed. He was a speed user, interestingly enough. He had formed multiple clones around Hariko, though of what kind was questionable. He didn't know which was the real one, but given their movements that he could see, they could attack from all sides. Hariko chose the easiest path. He jumped up, swiftly from the ground, above the swordsman and his clones. He quickly formed hand seals midair. Water Style: Violent Water Wave He released the part over his mouth again, placing a hand around it, as he spit out a powerful jet of water, he turned his head quickly to send it spraying over the area they were in with surprising force. It moved over the full positions of the clones, hopefully hitting each of them and the swordsman. He quickly followed up, by retracting the armor around his belt. He grabbed shuriken and threw them down at him before Hariko landed a few meters away.

User Image It was a daring move, but not one that Katsurou hadn’t thought out as a counter. The boy was mostly limited to melee fighting, or so it would come off, so he tried to always plan out moves accordingly. As the Mizu jumped into the air, he was followed by the clones and the actual Gekkou though only one of them had a pair of large, white wings fold out of their back. These wings where pure chakra mixed with wind chakra to allow Katsurou to maintain his aerial dominance as if he were on the ground, while they also allowed him to maneuver away form the violent burst of water that had wiped out his copies. They would even fold around him to protect him from the basic shuriken attack. The male looks down at Hariko, and knew the perfect moment to attack. Just before the Mizu male touched the ground, Katsurou rushed him, and now the Mizu had no way to run! Being in the air limited one, and one was at the most vulnerable as they waited for gravity to allow them a safe return to solid ground. That black claw reaches out and grabs the Mizu’s shoulder before slamming him into the iced ground. With the target pinned beneath him, the Gekkou drops the dai-katana and does a quick series of hand seals. After this, Hariko will feel the full force of the Gekkou Clan virus hit him all at worse as opposed to how it slowly built up in Katsurou. The Mizu lung capacity would drop and the boy would likely start coughing hard enough to cough up blood, but the Gekkou would start to feel better…stronger and faster even as if he never had the virus in the first place.

Shirasagi no Jou: Shaku no Shokkou
This is the penultimate technique of the Shirasagi no Jou style. By utlizing both the Kuchibashi and Tsume in equal part, a strange alternating balance can be struck. Through this series of flaring slashes and deep ripostes, the nimble user can actually slip into the opponent's blind spot to deliver a savage blow with Tsume. Even if that strike were to fail, the path of the blade is such that the following strike with Kuchibashi is in an ideal location, guaranteeing it almost always will land a blow. At the same time, the user's chakra will create a diffuse scattering of feathers, temporarily blinding the opponent and giving them a chance to move to a better position for the next exchange.

Shirasagi no Jou: Sagi no Tsubasa
As Katsurou continued his studies in the Shirasagi no Jou school of swordplay, he gained a deeper understanding of it's true purpose. How it is to be used, to what purpose the sword should be raised for, and what it's learning means to the practitioner. This style is based in part on the movements and form of the heron. As such, it is graceful and delicate, yet hiding a deep strength. As well, the style grants the user such mobility as to be considered flight. It is said that one masters some of this style's higher techniques, that they can even manifest the guise of a heron over their own form.
This technique creates a pair of shimmering wings, seemingly crafted from pure moonlight. These wings, while insubstantial, still serve a twofold purpose. First, in that manifesting them proves the user's mastery in the Shirasagi no Jou style, they seem to increase the power of any related techniques. Second, that even with the wings not having true physical presence, some method of flight is gained. Perhaps not true flight, but more that the user's posture and form is so supremely assured, that they can even balance in mid-air, that they can move freely even in the sky.
This is a skill that can take years to fully master. It takes concentration and focus, and only through experience do the higher functions of this skill ever reveal themselves. - 2000 CP

[0-5,000] The first level, the wings remain small. Airborne movements are still difficult to maintain, only to the extent of slightly slowing a fall. Harsh Cry of the Heron, Lunar Lotus, and other Shirasagi no Jou techniques receive a slight increase in power. (Each treated as a skill of 50% higher cost.)
[5,001-10,000] The second level, the wings are a bit larger. Airborne maneuverability is limited, but falling is leisurely. The mentioned techniques now function as if double the cost.
[10,001-25,000] The third level, the wings are almost large enough to allow true aerial movements. The mentioned techniques now cost 10% less chakra.
[25,001-50,000] The fourth level, the wings are large enough to allow basic movements in mid-air, and falling is virtually negated. The mentioned techniques now cost 20% less chakra.

The Cure
The most forbidden technique in all of Hidden Moon. This technique taps into the dark roots of Hidden Moon’s techniques. Back to a time when the shinobi wars raged and people were dieing by the thousands due to an unknown and incurable disease. It ravaged the body and mind slowly driving the afflicted insane. And why does none of this disease exist today? Because being the noble warriors that they were at the height of the wars the Gekkou clan devised a secret way of drawing other people’s sickness and disease into themselves. These fierce warriors became the healers of the land sucking up the raging disease into themselves to save all of the other countries. This technique is the reversal of the technique that saved so many lives. Through a reverse set of hand seals including some that aren’t even used in the standard set a Gekkou clan member can transfer this disease to another for a short time with a single touch, or any sort of contact between combatants. The new afflicted will be struck with the full force of the disease for however long the user has lived with it all in an instant. Once free from the debilitating disease the Gekkou clan member returns to their former health and in the process regaining all of the might they enjoyed before the shinobi wars when they were feared as the most powerful swordsmen ever to walk this earth. - 2400 CP

Hariko Mizu, The Cold Demon

Hariko had been in the air, but he was far from defenseless. He formed a hand seal just as the man moved in at Hariko with his strange wings. The four bladed tendrils fired out from his back and curved at the man to slash and pierce him. These would keep the swordsman from grabbing a hold of Hariko, and completing whatever jutsu he intended. This suit had been designed to perfectly balance offense and defense, using the tendrils to as an attack and defense at the same time. The force of firing the tendrils also pushed him back and down. This defense and attack gave him time to reach the ground. He quickly gathered his chakra in preparation.

User Image It couldn't have been so easy could it? As those bladed tendril were launched from the back of the Mizu boy's back, Kazuki has to adjust his flight path to avoid the blades. Thankfully his wings allowed him to do just that in the nick of time it took to dodge the blades. One of them even scraping up against the black metal gauntlet. Having not been able to pin the opponent, Kazuki still held his dai-katana, Kuchibashi, in his right hand thus meaning the male was still fully armed, and still quite ready to fight. The Gekkou lands gracefully and in his advanced form of Shirasagi no Jou's stance. With his wings still outstretched, Katsurou waited for his opponent's move this time.

Hariko Mizu, The Cold Demon

His water techniques all the more dangerous, as the cold of Frozen Hell would effect them and those made wet. The water would intensify the effect of the cold on one's body and weaken it, possibly even cause hypotherima and freeze over the body. He would either have to find a way to warm himself, to counter the effects, or to stay out of the cold in the area near the stands or stay away from the water. Hariko didn't intend to let him. He quickly formed a series of handseals, with the areas seeded by the Frozen hell, he went on the offensive now that his opponent was on the ground. Ice Style: Ice Grass From the frozen earth below him, numerous spikes of ice rose out around him to pierce him and keep him from dodging to the sides. At the same time his tendrils rose up and then fired down at him from above, each coming in from a different angle to make it more difficult to escape. He quickly followed up with more hand seals, as clouds began to gather above. They seemed to only be set over the circular area of the battlefield, avoiding the stands.

User Image It was cold, which was expected since the arena walls and floor was covered in ice. Still Katsurou was able to remain on guard, and thanks to his training; not lose his ability to move. His mind was recalling the fight and all his past moves that failed to connect to the Mizu male. Even as his mind works, the Gekkou remains sharp and fast almost like nothing was distracting him. Then, something happened and little spikes, almost like blades of grass, made of ice rise out of the ground. Of course, the Mizu seemed to forget the think layer of chakra on the souls of the Gekkou's feet so Katsurou simply raises on the spikes rather than them piercing through his feet. Katsurou smirks and begins to move once more, gracefully skating over the ice and spikes. As he reaches his opponent the clawed gauntlet, Tsume, was aimed to strike the Mizu's heart.

Hariko Mizu, The Cold Demon

Hariko pulled back as the claws came straight at him. He ducked down down, as the claw slashed across his shoulder, producing sparks as it cut into his armor. The cuts were visible on his armor, but didn't reach his flesh. He quickly pushed back with his feet, gliding across the ice. He released his jutsu, as the tendrils already behind the man pulled back and whipped out at his back from behind. Ice Style: Winter Drizzle From the clouds, numerous droplets of water would rain down over the man. Each drop that would touch him or his wings would freeze. The effect was more then freezing, though. As it solidified, the ice was filled with chakra, making the droplets each weight ten pounds. The water that didn't touch him would simply fall to the ground or off of other surfaces, not freezing until it touches the ice. Hariko retracted some of his armor along his lower back, as he quickly grabbed his two shields. He set them attached to his wrists around the armor.

User Image The hit connected! Perfect! It wasn't the kill shot, the Katsurou had hoped for, but in striking the boy's shoulder it gave him something to grip down on! Tsume's claws dig in on the Mizu's shoulders as the Gekkou grins from ear to ear, as there wasn't a way to make him break that grip now, resulting it the Mizu's lack of ability to move away. Sure, it was raining, and those massive, white wings were getting iced over, but they were actually real. Katsurou cancels his tsubasa ability, which covers them both in a cloud of white feathers, while his right hand moved forward so that the blade of Kuchibashi would strike true to the boy's heart.

The moment Katsurou gripped his shoulder, Hariko's tendrils were retracting towards Katsurou from behind, At the same time, The armor over his lower back shifted and he grabbed the shields. As the cloud of feathers rose up, he had brought both shields, attached to his wrists, in front of him. He felt as the sword was deflected partially across the shield. It managed to force the blade partially off course. The sword, instead of piercing directly into his heart, would slash over the armor across the side of his chest. He winced in pain, as it cut into the armor, and across his skin, leaving a long, deep cut across his side, as blood slowly flowed from it. He quickly turned the shield to push against the sword and keep him from trying to cut deeper. As the feather's cleared, the tendrils were caving in on Katsurou to pierce him from behind, intent to pierce through his back, while the rain from above, if it reached him, would quickly weigh down his body. Hariko Whiped out his free arm with it's razor shield, trying to slash for Katsuro's stomach, and force him off of him.

User Image The rain steadily beat down on both Katsurou and the Mizu, and were each drop hit would freeze over and weigh about ten pounds by itself. Now with his wings disengages that cold water landed on the back of the Gekkou male's head, back, shoulders, and arms. It was heavy, and only getting heavier as the two stood locked in stances. Perhaps Katsurou's plan was to make ice sculpture's of the two of them now, but that seemed rather anti-climatic. Instead seconds before the bladed tendrils or the razor-edged arm shield hit, an intense burst of chakra came from the Gekkou male's body with enough force to blow the ice from his back and shatter the metal of the blade tendrils. As for the jab, with the bladed shield, aimed for his gut it pushes it back while tearing some of the muscles in the Mizu's arm. Let us not forget that Katsurou still had hold of Hariko's shoulder when using this aura! The burst of chakra would break the armor apart at the shoulder while driving some of the shrapnel into him. If that wasn't enough, just to add insult to injury, Katsurou swung his blade down once more on his opponent. The difference this time was a blade of pure chakra, roughly the same size as the dai-katana, coming off of it, so to hit the target twice, once with the chakra blade and once with the physical blade.
