Dakota was literally exhausted from the constant rebuilding of his home. Lucky enough for him though, Dorm rooms were still intact and hunters had been hard at work to rebuilding the whole island.
And he had STILL YET TO SEE THE TRAINEE'S THEY HAD RESCUED. One of them of course, he owed a drum set too. Poor Otto...Dakota felt bad for the brother, no one deserved any pain like that...in fact, the moon hunter felt sorry for all of the hunters...Ami, Sasha, Rin, Wash, Otto...Could they have had it worst?
As he thought about these things, he was slashing and hacking at the training dummies....so Deep in thought that he didn't realize that he was now hitting air because he had hacked the poor thing in half.
It was only broken when he saw a shine on a pair of goggles and the clear lithe female figure of a very beautiful kitty Kat hunter variety.
Oh to flirt-Look who we are talking about...
"HI Kat...Looking bright as sunshine today as well." Dakota called out to her, raising his voice to a loud obnoxious decibel levels...you know...just in case she didn't hear him....or something.

With some free time on her hands, Kat decided to stop by the training grounds to let loose a little. With everything that had happened as of late, things were starting to get pretty rough around Deus. It was hard to say, at this time, whether or not Ami and the others would make a full recovery. From what she had heard, they had been through quite the ordeal. With that thought, she would possibly check in on them later if they were permitted visitors.
On arrival, the sun hunter tugged at her scarf, cursing the dress code requiring them when it was so bloody hot on the island. She loved the heat, but sometimes..it really got to her.
"HI Kat...Looking bright as sunshine today as well."
Slowly, the huntress turned to face Dakota, who was a little ways off in the room. Coming here to practice a bit had sounded like a good idea at first, but now. No! She was getting her practice time in, no matter what! Staring down the moon hunter she finally gave the boy a lazy wave. "Hello, hello."

"Sup sup..." he responded and used long strides to come stand by her. "I see you on the training field, wondering if you'd like to you know...spar it out. A dummy can only take so much until it breaks...
He told Chama to hush before looking back to Kat.
"You don't have to if you don't wanna..." He nodded at her and noticed the change in her coat before narrowing his eyes..."Since when did the Kitty cat become a higher up hunter? Intermediate Trainee instead? Welcome to the club of suffering x 10..." He just continued to ramble and left off at...
"so didya wanna spar?"

Kat grinned, holding back a snicker at his words. "Really? Your still standing." This was implying that he was in fact a dummy, but it was only light teasing really. Thinking about it now, fighting trainee dummies weren't all that useful for combat training. She needed something that moved and fought back. Maybe fighting Dakota would be better, especially since she got to hit him.
Glancing down at her own coat when he pointed it out, the huntress merely shrugged. "Just recently, actually. But, alright. If you want to spar with me, I'm game."
Why not? It was a good way to blow off some steam as well as kill some time, Besides..she had not yet had the chance to actually fight Dakota one on one yet. It would prove to be interesting, she was sure.

"Hey hey hey. I'm FAR better looking then a dummy. And have the stamina to prove that I can last longer than some piece of wood." Inennedo intended!
"Awesome. Never gone up a against a hunter with two guns...especially with Chama. I wonder how you'll do with close range attacks." He really did wonder after all, as of now....she was the first long distance hunter he had fought against.
"Okay Here I come Babe." He launched himself forward as Chama came up, slicing at the FEAR shield of the sun hunters. It took a nice chunk but not enough to be considered a hard hit!

It took her a few seconds to register what it was that he was implying. Wrinkling her nose, Kat cringed. "A little too much information, Dakota." That was not something she needed to know. At all.
"Really?" She blinked, surprised to discover this. She knew there wasn't that many hunters with dual hand guns, but there were some. Like Simon and herself. There were more out there, she just couldn't place their names right of the bat. Shrugging it off for now, Kat moved back a little, wanting a little distance for the battle. She was okay with close range, but long range was more her thing.
"Right." Summoning her weapons, she drew them up, taking a shot at the moon hunter as he closed in for the attack. She was going to have to do better then this if she wanted to take him down. "It's never enough information Kat." He grinned and then relaxed, glad to know that she was not offended by his comments in the least.
"So far I just know of you and Simon. I figure its cause guns are a little harder to wield? Though there is Gale...The rest of us seem to have melee weapons?" He pointed to Chama and shrugged.
He hissed at the hit but since it barely clipped, he grinned again quickly. "You'll have to do better then that in close combat, or it won't be good for you." Dakota brought Chama up again, a arcing sweep as Fire blazed around her FEAR shield. At the moment, it was hard to tell which one was the sun hunter and which one moon!

That was just like Dakota to say that. It made her curious as to how often the boils mind was clogging the gutter in his brain. Wrinkling her nose, she decided to just ignore it.
"Really?" She pondered, trying to mentally compare the two. Guns weren't all that hard to use, at least not for her. But they did require more accuracy than other weapons. So it was true that other weapons were more ideal. "Well, I'm sure we'll come across more hunters that have guns. For all we know, we can have a load more just sleeping it off in the pods." She hoped so. She would love to meet others with similar weapons.
"Shush, you." Close range definitely wasn't her thing. Fighting Dakota proved this, as he landed another good blow on her shields. "Can't help it! I'm a chatty Cathy when I get down to it!" Dakota just continued to talk away, taking another shot to the shield. Was it him or was Kat's hits getting better as she went? he wondered briefly if all it took was her time in battle to get going and then she would be unstoppable?
"Probably true. I wonder if we got any sharp shooters. We need some sniper like hunters up in here." He nodded and then moved again, heading for her FEAR shield. He was being wary though as he clipped at it, barely tapping it.

Kat's lips curved into a small grin, as she held back a soft chuckle. "So I've noticed, along with the rest of the island." Shifting her stance, she held back a moment. Xedis needed a moment to charge up, so it was best she took a defensive stance. Though, as of late, Xedis had been doing fairly well keeping up with the battles, so she wouldn't need to wait all that long.
Raising a brow, the hunter blinked. "Gale's a sniper, Dakota." He had a freakishly large sniper rifle, but it was a sniper rifle all the same, and he was damned good with it. Bracing herself for his attack, Kat kept her guard up, waiting for an opening in his movements. "Oh right...I don't usually see Gale on many missions. Or I'm not really deployed where he is so...." Dakota shifted his eyes away guiltily and then back to her.
"Let's just say...JESUS KAT PLEASE STOP SHOOTING ME!!" Another hit to his FEAR shield and this time, he could tell her blast were taking off with more power.
His meanwhile were meek and minor attacks. He could really tell the difference between her sun power...and his moon one.
Too bad this wasn't a DEFEND OFF.

She was surprised to hear him say that. Gale, as far as she knew, was on just about every mission they had been on. At least the ones that were mandatory. Maybe it was because they were in separate divisions or something. Either way..it wasn't important at the moment.
Unable to help herself, a small laugh rose out of her at Dakota's 'request' to stop shooting him. "Isn't that the point of this spar, Dakota? I mean..my weapons are guns after all. Am I supposed to throw them at you instead." But fine, this time around, she would go in for a melee hit.

This should be a defend off though.
Dakota thought that would be fun. Apparently Kat didn't agree.
"I know I know but damn woman. Your killing me slowly." He blinked and then looked at Chama, " I throw Chama all the time." Did others not throw their weapons? SHAME.
He took her hit and relaxed. Apparently a melee hit from Kat was just...weak.
He could deal with that. Ego back on. And since she was so close ranged well...He swiped Chama at her.

"Guns aren't meant to be thrown, Dakota." The hunter snorted at the idea of throwing her weapons at the enemy. Yeah, that wouldn't go over well. In any case, she would lay off the shooting a little while longer and go in for another melee blow.
Aiming for a weaker spot in his shield, Kat struck at him with swift kick hoping to do a little more damage than she had before. "YOU SURE YOU CAN'T JUST LIKE...THROW IT ANYWAYS!?!?!" The boy called out as she came racing towards him again, another melee hit that didn't hurt as much.
It was awesome though that she was able to do her shooting as well as rely on the close range melee attacks. Sun hunters man.
