Bazzite was out doing what Bazzite did best - running.

At the behest of his general, Benitoite, the lieutenant was out practicing his dodging and running skills. He lit from rooftop to rooftop across the dark areas of the city. His jacket was pulled tight to his body so it offered little resistance as the wind rushed past. Bazzite was actually concentrating in his task, which was odd for him. Usually it was something having to do with housework that made him concentrate so but he had a goal in mind - make Benitoite proud!

The little ninja had been at his training for a few hours before his muscles started to ache. He slowed down to catch his breath and had actually pinpointed a Chaos signal in the alley below him. All concentration had blown out the window when a friend was nearby! Dropping to his stomach, Bazzite poked his head out from the rooftop above and called to the alley below.

"Hello!" ...no answer. "Hellloooooo~"

Still no answer.

"HEY CHAOS PEEP. Friend here! Hi! Where are you?"

So much for subtlety.

It was one of those rare times that Nickeline actually was out trying to fight someone and then raging when all the white moon senshi simply wanted to do was talk. She was relaxing, perhaps simply taking a breather from a previous fight. She was laying there, on top of a small ledge hidden in the shadows. She always liked to get into little cubby areas as a child but this added new meaning to it. She was squeezed into it, or at least seemed to be. There was simply so much hair, so many balls, that hung over and were wrapped between her arm. Lonnnnnnnnnng silver locks that reflected a fragment of the light from above. She looked at peace, actually, she seemed to be ignoring Bazzite.

Piercing grey eyes looked up toward him, finally acknowledging him. She simply couldn't believe it. Was there anyone in Destiny City that preferred quiet? She'd simply settle for one who spoke Greek, if she was being completely honest here. Benitoite seemed interested in learning it for her but she hadn't seen him since and it wasn't like she'd really believe him. He was a pervert after all.

Bazzite seemed to fall under something a bit different than pervert though, something a lot closer to what she'd call white moon senshi. She didn't speak to him, if he found her on his own that would be another thing but she simply wasn't going to give away her location to just anyone, even if they were swelling with the familiar chaos familiarity.

Well okay then. Whoever that was down there wasn't big on talking. But that was okay! One thing the Negaverse lieutenant was good at was talking. Bright blue eyes caught the glint of light reflected off of silver hair and the boy jumped down to a ledge nearby to examine the Chaos agent more closely. Or rather, he was trying to get as close to them as possible. Even Bazzite wasn't sure exactly where they were located, but he was willing to make an educated guess. There was lots of hair... where did he see lots of hair...

Hmm...

.....OH!

"Um, you have very nice hair!" he started. He was fairly sure this was one of the space pirates that worked directly for the Negaverse. They felt slightly different than the Dark Mirror guys did - like Remarque did. Negaverse senshi were really super cool in Bazzite's book - they were the good guys! Like him! "You're one of the senshi that works with us, right? You're super cool if that's the case. I like senshi that work with us, not against us! And don't, you know, punch us in the face. There are some really mean senshi out there." The young lieutenant swung his legs back and forth on the ledge.

More silence greeted him. "So! I'm Bazzite. You can call me Bazzi. What should I call you?"

There is a point in every girl's life where she wishes she had run away when she had the chance and that point is now. She realized it the moment she felt like she was in the presence of a White Moon Senshi instead of a Negaverse Lieutenant. She couldn't believe the Negaverse even recruited people like this, and sitting there trying to hide within her hair she wondered if it was going to end. How could the Negaverse give him a chance when she was barely even willing to. One choice but so much regret over it. In the end it was her choice though, and that meant there was nothing wrong with it and it was still salvageable.

The silver lining in her eyes held hope, hope that the boy would stop soon. It wouldn't be so bad, it wouldn't be so bad if he spoke in Greek. At least then she could understand the mile of minute conversation he was having with himself. Well, it wasn't totally directed at himself but it may as well been. Her head didn't want to translate that much text, and soon she was mentally picturing a bumblebee. Yes, this described him perfectly. Now all she needed was a fly swatter...

The legs he swung over the ledge of the building meant he had no plans on leaving any time soon. It truly would never, ever end. This was the perfect opportunity: This is the song that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friends. Some people started singing it not knowing what it was but they'll continue singing it forever just because... life sucks. The end. This was that very situation except it was a television show for children about lamb puppets and adults frolicking around with children.

"Ni...nickeline," she mumured, adjusting herself on the lower ledge she was on so that her hair now hung down over the edge. She wasn't hiding anymore, her eyes piercing straight at him. Perhaps there were better names she could have him call her. Perhaps Master, or Boss, or The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread but that would imply she'd be around again. She really hoped she wouldn't be.

Bazzite's eyes lit up. "You are one of the senshi that works for the Negaverse! It's real nice to meetcha, Nickeline. That's a nice name. Nickels are like, the same color as your hair. That's probably why you got called that, right? Or do our senshi-friends get to pick their own names? Hmm." The lieutenant didn't notice how... uninterested his senshi companion was and kept blathering on like an idiot. "I'll hafta ask Beni about that one. He knows a lot more cuz he's a general."

Swinging his legs again, Bazzite mused aloud. "Do you have someone you report to, Nickeline? I report to Painite but mostly Benitoite. He's super cool. Has a big, long cape and a big ol' spear. Really strong too! I hope to be strong like him someday."

A decisive nod and the lieutenant stood, leaping across the way to stand on another part of the building. He spun around and dropped to his stomach so he could lean over the edge and talk more to his new 'friend'. "Hey Nickeline? What're you doin' out here all by yourself? Are you lonely? Cuz you look kinda sad and well... let's see." He dashed off, the crunching of shoes against rooftop indicating where he was. A moment of silence, then a few distant grunts and more crunching had Bazzite returning with a flower he'd plucked from someone's garden outside their window. It was a simple daisy.

"Here! Now you won't be sad anymore, right?"

Nickeline tried her best to ignore the lieutenant as he continued to blather on and on like a raging fool. Didn't they teach their soldiers anything useful? Perhaps this one was simply too slow to retain any of it? It definitely seemed possible. None of what he said seemed of any importance to her, but she had pretty much already judged and slapped an useless label onto him so when he actually mentioned some useful information about some Generals she didn't even hear it, nor did she hear him ask if she reported to anyone. She technically did have someone to report to but she was positive General Sassolite would rather string her up by her neck than take any report from her. She did her best to ignore her and so far things were going well.

Nickeline was so busy ignoring him she didn't even notice hm run off for a minute. It wasn't until he came back with a daisy did she snap back to reality. She was actually surprised to see he was still there but when English is your second language and not a very good one and you have very little importance placed on understanding what others say most things start to become background noise. The surprise lingered but only until she noticed the flower between his fingertips. Consider how fond of flowers she was, it seemed like he would have completed a great step to befriending her but the result was actually opposite of it.

Ripping the flower out of the potter like that had pretty much killed it, causing Nickeline to frown. It was insensitive just like those children who trampled all over the flowers in the grass! She looked actually worse than she had when Bazzite first thought she was lonely but then suddenly, as if sparked by an idea, she grabbed the daisy from his hand and then released her grip from the wall and dropped to the ground.

She just had to find a place to try and reroot it! She had to try. She looked around eagerly from the alley, unintentionally leaving Bazzite the time necessary to follow her, before she ran in one direction.

Bazzite didn't realize he did the wrong thing until it was too late. His corrupted senshi companion had dropped to the ground and disappeared. The lieutenant blinked before coming to grips with what happened.

In a spasm of limbs and hair, Bazzite leaped from the building and ran after the girl. "Hey Nickeline! Hey! Wait up! What happened?!" he called, now wondering if perhaps the girl was deaf? Not that it was a bad thing but the bluenette did have a tendency to rattle at eight thousand miles an hour. Anyone, even with the ability to read lips, would be hard-pressed to keep up. The little ninja rounded a corner, shoes squeaking against the solid street. "Nickeliiiiiine!"

Boy, she can book it!

When he caught sight of her again, he started to apologize. "Look, Nickeline, I... I just wanted to make you... jeez you move fast... make you happy! You know? Girls like flowers, right?" He lifted a hand to touch her but pulled back at the last moment. "Hey wait... wait, what're you doing?"

Nickeline was booking it as fast as she could and in the process she hadn't even thought to listen for someone calling to her, especially not one who spoke as fast as Bazzite did and as pointlessly. It wasn't until she had reached a small bed of grass on the side of the road and began digging into the ground with her hands that she heard his last words. She paused, pondered what he said and then let it linger in the air as she continued.

She made a small hole, placed the daisy in it and then filled the hole back up and carefully patted it down so that flower would mostly stay upright. She inspected it with doubt and sorrow. It probably wouldn't root, and simply wither away but at least this would give it a chance. If only her grandfather was here, he surely would be able to let the daisy grow and prosper.

"That," she said, moving aside to show him with a pointed finger.

"....oooohhhhhh! You like flowers a lot, huh Nickeline?" Bazzite mused, rubbing the back of his head.

Now he had to think. Obviously she was kinda sorta... well, Nickeline didn't seem big on 1) talking and 2) emoting in any real way. In fact, she seemed pretty bored most of the time. Bazzite didn't think he himself was boring, no sir! Bazzite was the life of the party most of the time! But now he was seriously reconsidering his point of attack - rethinking his strategy. So she liked flowers, but she didn't like flowers outside of a pot?

What about a whole bunch of flowers? Hmm.

Snatching up her wrist, the little ninja tried to gently tug his corrupted counterpart. "I know a place with lots and lots of flowers, but they're all in a garden! It's just right over here! In between these buildings. I've seen it before!" Sometimes Bazzite liked to stop and smell them when out on patrol, as cliche as that sounded. But maybe that would cheer Nickeline up? He started to move in the right direction - it wasn't far from where they were at all, and only required a little bit of jumping. Would she be up for that?

Bazzite thought Nickeline wasn't big on talking but she was (which is why she was often very frustrated with Destiny City). The problem was that she didn't understand Englisb very well and she felt no need to be the one to change her lifestyle. Why did it have to be her? Obviously it should be others who did so. It resulted in her being bored and kind of pissed off when people ran on and on with words she mostly didn't understand. Even if she could understand them people spoke their native tongue quite fast through the ears of foreigners so she just didn't catch a lot of it.

She did catch flowers, and she did catch garden but without any context and actually attempting to plant the flower in a tiny plot of soil like a garden Nickeline got very suspicious. She did not want to be dragged off by some strange guy she'd just met (and who'd followed her after she'd run away). He tried to pull her and instead she threw her fist at him. What came next would probably be Bazzite's biggest clue to what the real issue was here.

"What the ******** do you think you're doing you stupid pervert? I won't just let you drag me into a dark alley to have your way with me!" He wanted emotions? He got them, she was screaming at him. She was pissed, and it was all in Greek. Maybe it wasn't exactly what he was hoping for when words came out of her mouth but maybe this would fill in the gaps.

Bazzite nearly wet himself from the shock and surprise of having not only a fist thrown at him, but something in a very foreign language along with it. The lieutenant sputtered and hit the dirt, burying his head in his arms. "LOOK, I'M SORRY! I WASN'T... OH MY GOD!" he shrieked, clawing away to get some distance between himself and Extremely Angry Senshi. All he was trying to do was help and make her not so grumpy anymore! And then she ran away and all this horrible stuff happened!

Blue eyes nearly bore holes in the senshi's head as Bazzite's little pea brain tried to comprehend the noises coming out of Nickeline's mouth. She had to be summoning demons. Or speaking backwards. Maybe she was broken and her voice box didn't work so well? Did Negaverse senshi come from another galaxy where they spoke Special Space Pirate? Or maybe Space Ninja-ese? But if they spoke Ninja-ese, Bazzite was sure he would be able to understand it, being that he was ninja and all.

But this was all Greek to him.

....waitaminute.

The bulb was dim, sure, but it was there. The fact that Bazzite had a bulb at all was a miracle in and of itself. The ninja waited until the tirade was over before getting up to dust himself off. He swore Nickeline was speaking Spanish. "Look, look, it's all good! Okay so um... el flower-o..." he said, pointing to the flowers. "...uh... well dang, I'm no good at this sooooooo..." Looking around, he spied a small stick and used it to draw a diagram in the dirt.

One misshapen stick figure had very long hair and the other was smiling, which was presumably Bazzite. Next to them was a crude drawing of a garden surrounded by childish buildings with only three windows apiece. A large arrow pointed behind the artiste. "See? Uhh... you," point to Nickeline, "and me," point to self, "garden! Over there!" point to buildings behind them. Bazzite cringed a little. "Is... that okay? Just to see! Nothing else!"

Nickeline ground her teeth against each other bitterly, her arms crossing so her fist pressed firmly back against the wrist of her other arm. She was defensive and ready to throw down another punch. This was one of the first times since she came to Destiny City that she felt confused, threatened and unable to comprehend what was going on. She was angry, and Bazzite wasn't making it very easy on her.

There was a familiarity from his defensive stands, his arms cover his head protectively on instinct. He tried to distance himself from her, thankfully. It wouldn't have been such a pretty picture had he tried to go forward with his plan instead. Bazzite tried so direly to comprehend the noises she made, a very similar situation she was faced with daily. She wasn't a scholar, and she wasn't very good with English but every day she had to suffer through it. It was almost satisfying to watch someone suffer what she suffered.

As much as she would have loved to summon demons upon this lieutenant, all she had to throw at him were Greek words. Maybe she didn't have any demons to eat him but perhaps if she spoke loudly and fast enough, he'd get a headache from trying to figure out what was going on. That might have been her though. She watched dumbfounded, her crossed arms slowly uncrossing and raising to rub against her head as Bazzite began to try and speak to her in Spanish. She didn't understand that he was trying to speak to her in a language she'd understand or she might have made fun of his attempt.

At this point she was not as defensive as she was after hitting him but she kept her distance from him. She watched him like a hawk, a hawk that was ready to shred him apart with her bare hands should it become necessary. She watched him draw something strange in the ground. It was hard to make out in the dark, a thought he probably hadn't thought too deeply on.

The snap of a branch signified Nickeline stepping closer, trying to look at what he'd drawn.

Yeah, sorry Bazzite. No go, in fact, she was kind of more confused. She couldn't make it out at all. The only thing she did recognize was the word garden. She curiously made note of the direction he pointed to with interest until she found herself leaving him behind, moving quickly in that direction. She wasn't going with him... she was just... going to see the garden. Yeah, that was it.

Bazzite swirled around just in time to watch the tail end of Nickeline disappear in the darkness.

He called out after her. "Uhh... okay! UM... it's very nice! I'll uuuhhhh be up in a minute! PLEASE DON'T SHOOT ME THIS TIME."

Not that Nickeline had a gun, mind you, but the corrupted senshi might as well have shot at him with the explosiveness with which she yelled things in a language he didn't comprehend. Bazzite sighed. "Women are weird." he mumbled and gave the corrupted senshi plenty of time and room holy god before he made his way back towards the garden. He'd seen is several times in his patrol wanderings, smelling them before he saw them on clear nights. The moonlight struck each flower like a jewel and sometimes he'd find himself distracted by how pretty they seemed to be. It was fascinating how each dew drop on each leaf sparkled in blue light.

But he didn't tell Benitoite about that. He'd get in big trouble.

It was nestled betwixt several high rise condominiums. It was a communal thing with rose bushes, several varieties of vegetables and a plethora of blooms Bazzite didn't know the names for. Hopefully it was enough to get on Nickeline's good side (though which side that was, Bazzite didn't know. Perhaps she just didn't have one? Nickeline was scary). Either way, the lieutenant stood his ground on a building adjacent to where he last saw the corrupted senshi. He hoped that was far enough away for her tastes.

He didn't initially see her. "Umm... Nickeline? Is the garden... you know... good?"

The garden was beautiful, even in the night Nickeline could tell it must sparkle with life during the daytime. She admired the sleeping flowers from afar, mindful of the grass and the flowerbeds near her feet. This was probably one of the rare times Nickeline expressed any concern over hurting something. The anger on her face disappeared, and soon Nickeline was kicking off her heels and walking carefully on the grass barefooted. She moved like a child, twirling around until she finally sat down near some tulips.

She was in a world of her own, and she wasn't entirely pleased to find out Bazzite had followed her again. She wasn't angry this time, the serenity of the flowers preventing her from lashing out. She simply sat there in the dark, grey eyes staring at the lieutenant.

"Yes," she replied simply, garden good. It would have been, and would be better if she didn't have company though.

Bazzite didn't do well with people who weren't big conversationalists and he fidgeted, not knowing how to respond other than to keep babbling. But Nickeline didn't seem to like it when he babbled and... well... now he felt stuck.

Part of him watched in awe as the corrupted senshi calmed down in the thick of the flowers. He scratched his head. "Uh well... I'm glad I could show you this place cuz it's real nice in the daytime too an' maybe you can visit sometime? ...you know, by yourself...? Maybe...?"

Nickeline didn't seem to like him very much and the lieutenant didn't know how to deal with that.
