When you buy alcohol? What do you have to use?
  My drivers license.
  My state ID. Since I don't drive.
  I use another form of ID like my passport or military id
  I don't have to use an ID since I look old enough that they don't even card me. :D
  I don't drink alcohol so I never buy it.

When the cashier lady scanned my alcoholic items, she immediately asked me if I had a Drivers License and I said no, and I said I had a state ID thingy. So I showed her that but it was the paper version temporary version since my real one has to come in the mail since I just got my ID like a week ago.

And she said that "WE can't just accept that, I need to see a valid drivers license". So that's stupid. My mom said "He (referring to me) has an expired permit" Then she said "Ok then show that." So I did.

And she took it. Then I gave that with my paper ID and told her that the paper ID is what the DMV gave me and that I don't drive. So she took the expired permit from 7 years ago (2005) and entered the b-day or something then everything went well.

That's just stupid. So it got me thinking....YOU NEED A DRIVERS LICENSE TO BUY ALCOHOL AT LOWES? THat's stupid. If I didn't have my expired permit I wouldn't be able to get my vodka. stare

Not the green logo one. The yellow diamond logo. Since we went there yesterday since my mom said that is where she got my cheap vodka from, not walmart.

So stupid. stare So you need a drivers license to buy alcohol from Lowes the yellow logo... stupid.. My mom said that she gave me a hard time cuz it was the temporary ID and not the real State ID yet. So I hope. But yeah...this is why I told her "THIS IS WHY WE BOUGHT OUR ALCOHOL FROM WALMART IN CRUCES, since we always used our military IDs. But I don't have one anymore."

US I know walmart that when they scan an alcoholic item it says please enter birth-day and "Is customer under 40?". Then they ask for ID. And they take Drivers License and military ID. I'm sure they take state ID to since it looks exactly like a Drivers License.

We have it easier here. Everyone has a healthcare card from birth, and once you turn 16 your photo is on it.
But when I travel to the US they don't take "sunset cards"User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
So I guess it's good passports are mandatory so I have some ID to prove I'm of age. Though I do have a learner's permit for driving...

We also can't buy alcohol from places like Walmart. But everyone has a care card, drivers license or passport to use as ID.

It's because I act so mature. I also have a giant lock of white hair.
I act mature in stores to. sad Once they scan the alcohol item they immediately ask "You have an ID/Drivers License on you". Or at walmart "I NEED TO SEE ALL OF YOUR IDs".
