Whenever Bix checked his cellphone, he would receive a rather questionable and extremely vague text message.

Thankfully it would take only a few Hunters to mention that the Sun lead was probably still in his room, playing floor doctor.

Allan had just finished rolling an overly adorable plush carpet with a Pikachu face when Bix came in. The Sun lead seemed extremely enthustic. "Bix-kun! Are you ready to achieve Bankai? Are you ready to surpass all your limits to obtain true-" A pose - "power and spirit?."

He posed like this for a few seconds, one hand dramatically raised to the ceiling while the other lay poised in some sort of lunging V shape. "Now, step forward Bix-kun, and embrace your destiny!"

And then Bix stepped into his destiny -

The empty hole that the rug was currently covering. The carpet sagged, the Pikachu face spent a few moments looking extremely distorted -

- And then took the entire Sun trainee with it deep down into the rabbit hole.

Extremely satisfied at the trainee's resolute decision, Allan followed shortly, jumping in after Bix as well, saying helpful things like "Watch your head!" and "Tuck your feet and arms in!" while falling down very, very, very far.

Thankfully the bottom seemed to be made of sand. Thankfully. There was a very tiny dot of where the exit was above though the greater question was exactly where this room had come from, a giant cavern full of sand, twinkling stars, and a rather impressive moonscape. It was neither cold nor warm, simply neutral, surprisingly.

The Sun lead was busy pulling out two very simple clay-like cut-outs from the ground, wheeling them in. He rolled one closer to Bix.

"This isn't just a mission Bix-kun, it is about discovering yourself, your kokoro." Allan tapped at his chest solemnly. "And the greatest mission of all is to unlock yourself, and obtain true Bankai. You can only do this if you defeat your greatest enemy yet."

The weird nondescript clay block was wheeled in a little closer to the Sun trainee. "Now, when you are ready, place your weapon into the spirit totem!"

Did Allan literally mean into, because that seemed kind of gross.

At first nothing happened.

"Huh." Allan scratched his head, circled the thing, and then very slowly pulled out a very long and heavy manual. He managed to flip the cover open before he tossed it over one shoulder, instead, giving the thin wobbly golem a small kick. It fell over with the weapon embedded into it.

And then the clay began to bubble and mutate over the weapon, glowing rather malevolently a deep red until-

- In its place and in the weapon's place stood Bix's weapon. In humanoid form, as if he was looking at a Halloween student, or perhaps a horseman.

The Sun lead seemed elated that it was working. "This is awesome, I knew I should have borrowed these from the Life Labs before testing period!" And by borrow, that word sounded oddly like keep permanently. "Anyway, this golem basically manifests the true spirit form of your weapon. They can even use some, not all, just some of your weapon's powers! But of course, with great power comes great friendship. Can you win your weapon's respect? Are you really using their full power? You need to fight your weapon in their golem form and win to obtain true Bankai!"

A pause. "And I have just the thing!" Allan opened his duffel bag, giving Bix a really small and ordinary looking wooden sword. "It is important that as a Sun Hunter, you are ready for all situations."

As the clay began to change Bix could feel their connection stretching. Her presence extracted from his mind though he could still feel their bond. It was also a bit of a shock to have a training sword thrown at him just as the intengible cushion of his FEAR sheild slipped away.

And then he was bright red.

It had always been a bit of a comfort that Mina had no physical body. Her voice in his head assured him that she was his bonded only, that her past as a halloween creature was gone and done and that she served his side. She surely knew his thoughts and feelings but now she had legs. Slender pale legs. And a mini skirt that was too short to be decent. Was that a bit of a forked tongue?

Bix gulped. "Ah.. Hi.. Mina.." The flushing hunter sputtered and clenched his sword warily. He was expecting the ferocity of a flailing, clawing teenage girl. In no scenario of his mind did Mina's release to a golem seem like it would go well for him.

Bix's flush deepened when in the blink of an eye the serpentine ghoul appeared behind him and enclosed him in her cool grasp. Her tongue against his cheek tickled and he pulled his head slightly away. "Mina.. come on. This is important." it was almost a whine, exasperated.

"I don't want to fight you." He sagged, his sword tip dropping a bit to the sand. "But I think I have to. For the mission. Bankai.. right?" Bix was attempting to dislodge himself from her arms but she was tight on him, almost crushing while she clung and nuzzled onto him.

"You're my weapon. We're.. a team."

Bix was on edge. Yes, she was being affectiontae. Even seductive if he had to be specific, but in this form she was more than a weapon. She was a halloweener. She was a monster like the others and her words indicated how little she thought of him.

The attempt to bite him, the moment of her head rearing back, was enough for the hunter to slip out of her grip. "Is that all I am? Just a hand that you guide? I thought we were closer than that.."
