Jin-Gitaxias vs Akantha! [FIN]

Rolled a One: Ice field : The temperature of the stadium suddenly drops several degrees (just enough so breath was visual and winter-wear is needed) as the stadium floor shifts for the upcoming battle. The floor turns into extremely slick ice which makes maneuverability, even simply standing, difficult. Randomly placed crystal-like pillars reach skyward from the frozen water, reflecting the florescent lights to all sides of the battle-field. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ICE type attacks

Lenore walked into the stadium, Mephistopheles at her side. Drawing a pokeball from her belt, Lenore sent out Jin-Gitaxias. "Okay, it's your first battle, so have fun. No killing. Only non-lethal doses." Gitaxias nodded his understanding before floating down to the field below.

Sienna walked in to the stadium, glad she brought a jacket today. The stadium was very chilly - not good for their newest team mate, or any bird for that matter. Frey's daughter Akantha was more than ready to battle despite the unfortunate battle field.

"" Frey said to the tiny Archen. The Pidgeot had come to see his daughter battle again. Akantha nodded up at her father and squeaked, ""

"Let us begin." The gastly opened his mouth, blowing toxic gas at the archen.

"" Akantha used a combination of sprinting and flying to quickly avoid the toxic gas.

"Hone Claws, Akantha!" Sienna shouted. Frey nervously watched as his child battled the Ghastly.

The Archen concentrated dark energy in to her sharp talons.

He spewed more smog as he spoke.

"" Akantha wasn't sure how to respond, and darted quickly away from the new cloud of smog.

"Crunch, Akantha!" Sienna called. Frey frowned, he didn't want his daughter's beak anywhere near that guy.

Akantha was also hesitant about biting the ghastly, but flew at him to do it anyway.

Akantha clamped down on the gastly. Gitaxias continued to blow poison at the archen.

"Subject displays signs of irritability. Applying Poison #174...."

Akantha managed to fly away quickly enough to avoid more Smog, but then dove quickly at the Ghastly again with another Crunch attack.

Bitten once again, Jin-Gitaxias attempted to poison the archen again. Toxic gases began to leak from the gastly.

"Poison #174 is deemed ineffective. Applying Poison #92...."

"" Akantha gagged as she accidentally inhaled some of the poison gas. She shivered as the poison spread, it wasn't much but it still hurt.

"You're alright, Akantha! Keep it up!"

The Archen swoop at the Ghastly again despite being hurt by the poison.

Thicker gas than the last few blew forward, attempting to engulf Akantha.

Akantha was indeed resistant to Poison type moves, but that didn't mean she wanted anything to do with poison! She wasn't able to avoid inhaling some of the Smog once more, but it didn't hurt her too much.

She sprang forward again for another Crunch
