A light grey shape could be seen laid out on a rock by the rushing water and thundering waterfall. The lioness licked at her paw occasionally before letting her turquoise eyes survey the tree's the opposite side to where she lay. Her tail flicked behind her and she made obvious movements of being alert though in reality she was close to sleeping. The thundering of the waterfall seemed calming to her and this was her favourite place, so calm and refreshing.

She lifted her head suddenly, not because she heard anything but to look at the sky through the trees, she randomly did things like that while thinking over things like her brother, Koda, Laana and everyone else. Her mind wandered alot.

Easy steps marked the approach of a male of average size, average intellect, average speed, and extraordinarily busy markings.
His white form was kissed all over with sky blue swirls, dots, and other such designs. Those golden eyes, similarly, were busy enough. To and fro they darted, taking in every inch of this, his family home.

Unlike Arumoa, he had not many fond memories to trickle back. Instead, only the vague, foggy haze of what once was hung about his consciousness, every now and then allowing him a glimpse of some friend long dead. Memories, however, were not a concern for this young male. He looked ahead, to much fun and mischief with his siblings, now they had made it back.

The place retained much beauty, though the drought of several years had made it's impact. The tress were not so vibrant, so dense as it seemed they should be. The waterfalls lost some of that immense power, that majesty they should have held.
It saddened him a little, but enough remained to play in, and thus was Ngaio satisfied.

Ithi looked up, her ears catching the sound of something. Turning her soft eyes landed on a moving body. Her eyes glided over his form, strange markings. She hadn't seen a lion like him before and that was for certain though she could only assume that he was a mistweaver, though there was no certainty in that.

She turned back to the glittering water where she looked at her refelction, oh how beautiful she was, sleek and slender frame and sparkling eyes. Yes. She was perfect, in her eyes anyway.

Slowly she moved her body and stretched to turn around. Sitting up she watched the stranger approach though she didn't say a word, just watched. Those markings were remarkable!

The noise of water was a tempting enough sound, and towards it the busy male trotted, steps made with a gait easy and light, full of a youth belying his true age. He had never outgrown that childish wish to be everywhere, do everything, that belief that there was no offence possible towards others where it was not intended. Yes, in all but age, Ngaio would likely always be a child.

Batting idly at a pitiful leaf to fall into his path, the male continued on towards the drumming of water falling, falling, ever and always falling.

She waited, her ears flat on her head listening. She wouldn't move, not for a while. She would wait for him to see her beauty, though he would have not a chance with her. Males were wrong, all of them, friends, maybe anything else, pfft. They had issues.

She let the thoughts rush through her mind as she washed her paws and forelegs, waiting.
