Thanatos found himself seated under the Nooditree, located in the meadow not too far from the lake beside the Monster Dorms. With Floresctival long past - not that he was enrolled at the time - most of the lanterns that had been hung on its branches had either been taken down, blown away by the wind, or ruined by the rain and pumpkin sun. Now, the probably once majestic tree looked pretty pathetic and bare.
Not that he minded though. After all, there weren't many places in Amityville where he could get some time alone, so it wasn't like he could afford to be picky. So, while he passes his time by staring at the clouds in the sky, his familiar was in the Not-Forbidden Forest nearby, hunting for food.
It was as if he was just waiting for something to happen.

His trip to the Scarefari by himself had produced an ally named Frost. That, he knew, because the wolfos had come to his dorm room and shared a hunt with him. It might seem odd, a stag eating flesh, but this was Halloween and odder things had happened. The ice boil had his hair off of his neck today, put up with pens and pencils and whatever he could find that got the tri-colored locks off his neck. It was warm, much too warm for his liking lately. Sighing, he tugged at the thin tunic like shirt he had on to fan himself, necklace rattling. The beads bashed against the skull that the school had provided to keep his humanoid shape while on campus. Much good it did to hide his coloration. He'd found himself out of the dorm after a while of walking about aimlessly, looking for something to do. Uller was bored out of his mind and couldn't get his scaretop to start working again. Perhaps he should meet up with Mort and take him up on the offer to work on it. Jack knows that Uller literally bashed the slow thing with his first. It was probably not the healthiest thing for a scaretop, but when it worked slowly or did something wrong, what else was the boil supposed to do? He wasn't around a lot of technology before he came here. He didn't even own a skellyphone like the rest of the school seemed to. Despite being from a good family, he felt like a deprived boil. In head head he was screaming at his parents for not keeping up to date with what everyone else was doing these days. Sighing, his eyes locked onto an odd looking tree with a few tattered paper lanterns and a lot of bare branches. Odd. He'd never seen a tree like that before. Making his way to it, Uller didn't even try to cover up how noisy he was being. What was the point? Who else could possibly be out here?

Thanatos heard someone coming. However, since it wasn't like this was his tree, he kept quiet, leaning against the trunk of the Nooditree as he simply waited to see if whoever was approaching was going to walk past, leave, or stay. Whatever the decision made, it wasn't going to affect his decision to stay - at least, until his familiar returns from her hunting trip. It was too bad that he was seated on this side of the tree; if not, he would probably be able to take a look at whoever that was.
It was too troublesome to move in order to peek around the tree though.

He didn't see anyone near the tree, so he figured it was alright to have a look around. Those strange black eyes focused on the remnants of the lanterns and it turned questions in his head. What was this tree for? He moved closer to it, sniffing the air around it, taking in all the scents. Interesting. Someone else was here. Those long ears of his flicked back and forth as he stayed where he was. Would this someone attack? Was it something instead of someone?
The smell was strong, but he hadn't smelled it before. What was it? Who was it? Sighing, he figured the only way he was going to find out was to circle the tree and see for himself. But first, confirmation as to if it was a who or a what.
"I can smell something there. Who are you?" Uller asked, not moving from his side of the tree. Why was he nervous? Something seemed off about this. The boil's instinct was to step back and let whoever or whatever it was come around to him. The unknown unnerved him.

"Ah, I would like to point out that I am not a 'something', but a 'someone'," He replied with a soft chuckle, amused by the way this stranger decided to "greet" him; perhaps this was the event meant to happen today. Standing up from where he was seated, he dusted off his pants and then took a step out from behind the tree, finally coming face-to-face with the person who had approached the largely abandoned tree, "Besides, isn't it rude to not introduce yourself before asking someone else for their name?"
His lips split into a grin, indicating that he was teasing... Maybe.
"Thanatos. It's a pleasure," He gestured at himself, still grinning away as amber eyes subtly inspected the boil standing in front of him. Although he had never seen such a student before, from his physical appearance, he must be either a monster or a demon... Since he was near the monster dorms, probably the former rather than the latter, "And who might you be?"

The voice didn't make him jump, but it did surprise him. It was deeper than his own. Then again, the short boy was kind of dainty looking. So if he had a deep voice it would't fit him. When the other boil, from the sound of his voice, came out from behind the three, Uller had to physically look up at him. Well, he certainly looked human, didn't he?
"... Glasere Uller," he replied cooly, eyes narrowing at the boil. Interesting. He looked human, but he didn't react like a human would upon seeing him. Tilting his head to the side, those ears continued to flick back and forth. He gave no indication that the pleasure of meeting him was mutual. He'd figure that out if they talked further than this. For now, though, he was unnerved with how tall the boil was.
"Rude or not, if you hear someone coming and do not bother to come out to greet them, or at least alert them to your presence... Is that not rude?" He asked, white brows raising and gave a questioning look. He tried to puff up a bit, to stand a little taller so he didn't seem so small. Not intimidating, but just so the other wouldn't look down on him.

"And would you prefer going by Glasere or Uller?" He asked, his grin remaining even when questioned about why he kept silent, "From my culture, it is not considered rude. I believe that it is only natural for someone to want to remain silent when they hear someone approaching... After all, why alert a potential treat to your presence?" Although that was not his intention at all. He simply could not be bothered to move at the time, "Could it be that it is considered rude in your culture? If so, I apologize."
Not that he looked very apologetic at all, even if he sounded sincere.

"Uller would be fine. I hear it's actually a lot easier to pronounce than my given name," He said, straight faced. He narrowed his eyes at the reaper further as he spoke before blinking a little. Sighing, he shook his head and rolled those eyes, though it was more of a roll of little white dots that served as his pupils. He was polite without being polite. How odd was this .... whatever he was. "It's not considered rude, I just do not like being startled. Or to feel like prey," he said pointedly. His name wad hard to pronounce either way.

"Uller it is," Thanatos replied, grin widening just a little. At the comment about feeling like prey, he chuckled, "I shall have to keep that in mind."
There was a rustle in the grass not far from the two, and from there, the head of a huge snake popped up, forked tongue flicking out of her mouth. She first regarded Thanatos, almost smiling - although snakes can't really smile, so it was really just her eyes that indicated her contentment - before she turned to look at the shorter boil. She paused, sliding up to him, although she was careful to maintain a distance; her vision had already showed her that the air around him was cooler, and going too near... Would be like standing in front of a fridge with its door open.
As much as she enjoyed meeting new people, being cold was unpleasant for her; she would rather have the heat she soaked up from the heat lamp earlier remain in her body, thank you very much.
"Hello!" She greeted, sounding much more cheerful and open than Thanatos, "I'm Bissssskoto, Thanatosssss' familiar. You are-"
"Uller," Thanatos interjected, "We were just introduced."

He was about to comment back to Thanatos when the rustling happened. His body tensed again as he looked around. Ears flicking this way and that until the snake popped up. He took a few steps back before he realized that this snake wasn't about to get close to him. Snakes. Uller couldn't really say he liked snakes. Especially ones as big as this one. Still, he kept his distance, completely uneasy by this and let his ears flick this way and that way. Ah, so this was this boil's snake? Interesting. He tried not to wrinkle his nose as the snake talked to him. "Yes," he said, looking slightly annoyed Thanatos interjected. He could introduce himself. "Glasere Uller. Uller for short. Biskoto was it? Charmed, I'm quite sure." He didn't care his tone was snobbish then. He made it a habit not to associate himself with things that had a taste for deer. Or any reptile, because they couldn't take the cold. He wasn't about to be hated for a snake's inability to maintain her own body temperature like he could. Though his wasn't constant, it was always colder than what was around him. "..Are you a reaper?" He asked, looking back at Thanatos. He looked like no monster he'd ever seen. Which led him to believe he was a reaper. It was the only logical thing to assume.

"Uller issss a reaaly unique ssssounding name," Biskoto commented with a nod, hissing softly before slithering towards Thanatos. The reaper got down on one knee, picking up the huge snake and guiding her along as she took her place on his shoulder. Her body was coiled around his arms for support, although she wasn't using too much force so that he could move freely.
Judging by how quickly they did it, it was obvious that they were both used to this.
"A Moira reaper, to be specific," Thanatos replied with a chuckle as he stood up, giving Biskoto a pet on the top of her head; it really wasn't too hard to guess his race, since he had a familiar.

Honestly, Uller knew nothing of Reapers, so even as he explained himself, the monster's face stayed confused. Frowning a bit more, he shook his head and shrugged. "I suppose Uller is a unique name, but it's fairly common where I'm from," he said to the snake. Watching her slither up with his help was interesting. Still, snakes made him very, very uneasy. He stayed his distance and crossed his arms over his chest before flicking his ears this way and that. "If you're a Reaper, why are you over by the Monster Dorms," he asked smoothly. It was a fair question.

For every time the boil's ears twitched, Biskoto found herself flicking out her tongue; the movement fascinated her, and she couldn't help but be reminded of the tasty Dust Bunny that was her lunch the day before.
"Because this is an integrated school," Thanatos answered with a chuckle as he took a few steps back, leaning against the Nooditree behind him; for an old, largely abandoned tree, it was pretty sturdy, "Just like how the Reaper Dorms and the area surrounding it are open for non-reaper visitors, the Monster Dorms and the area surrounding it are open for non-monster visitors... Biskoto just happened to be hunting in the area, so I had decided to wait for her here."
The boil paused, regarding Uller with a grin, "Have you not ventured past the Monster Dorms?"

"Yes and no," he said simple. Part of him wanted to leave it at that. Though, this boil wasn't hostile, so why should he be? Because he's not exactly friendly either. More neutral, which is hard to read... his mind supplied for him. It was true. Neutral parties made him very uncomfortable. Either way, Uller sighed and explained himself better. "I've been to the Scarefari. To the Human realm. In different parts of the school, and in front of it. But I can't say I've been past the Monster Dorms. I keep with what's familiar with me. Most of the time." Those black eyes flicked to the snake when her tongue shot out again. His ears kept twitching, listening to the others students that he heard every now and then. No one seemed to come this way though. "So you came here, to let her hunt in the woods?" He'd be sure not to let his minis out unattended, then.

"To the Human realm? That's surprising, considering how most of us lack a passport," Thanatos replied, looking quite amused, "Unless you mean that it was part of a school field trip... This school is quite renown for its field trips, I heard." He had only been on one of them, but he could see why it was so.
"Oh? In my opinion, the familiar is often boring after a while..." He paused briefly, grinning, "Not that most things stay familiar forever." Things change overtime, and that was what made life interesting; if it was constant and predictable, he probably wouldn't exist.
"She enjoys hunting in the woods," He answered with a soft chuckle, looking down at the snake, "Don't you?"
Biskoto nodded, addressing Uller directly, "Lotssss of minipetssss around, and there'ssss a lower rissssk of accidentally running into ssssomeone elsssse's pet!"
