╫Character Description╫
Personality: Kiya is quite, observant, and always lurking in the shadows. She is very good at reading a situation and acting accordingly. Not only that, but her instincts and reflexes are top notch. She can nearly always sense when something bad is about to happen, it's just a matter of being fast enough to react. Along with being observant, Kiya can also think on her toes and usually talk her way out of situations. Her life on the street has made her very good at that. Kiya is also very mature for her age, and people usually have a hard time guessing it by just what she says. She has also been told that she gives great advice, though, in her eyes, she's just being blunt and perfectly honest. When it comes to fighting, Kiya is a no holds barred kind of fighter, she was taught to fight to survive, and that is what she's been doing her entire life, and that wasn't about to change.
Even though Kiya has learned how to mask her emotions to a near professional point, that doesn't mean that she doesn't have any emotions period (contrary to popular belief). She is usually a kinder soul, even though she can appear very rough and gruff and uncaring. She always looks out for kids like her, alone, abandoned, barely surviving on their own. Anything that lives like this in fact gains a small portion of Kiya's heart. Though, she can usually turn a rough, cold shoulder of distaste to those who think they are "better" then her. Whether it be because of their wealth or their power.

╫Background Information╫
Kiya doesn't remember very much from her history. After the "accident" she doesn't really remember much of all from her life beforehand. The accident completely rendered her heart stone cold, and her unfeeling. It was a dark day when it happened, and it went something like this:
Kiya was walking in the woods, as it was one of her favorite past times, though, she had had a feeling that the day was off ever since she left the house. When she had come back from her little adventure, she waved to the gate ANBU. After going through customs, which seemed pointless to Kira then, considering she went in and out of the gates all the time, she went home. Though, a horror would be awaiting her there. A horror that would scare her for the rest of her life, turning her into a shell of her former, happy, carefree self.
It was a bit on the darker side, considering the sun was about to set, when Kiya was skipping home. Though, when she rounded the bend to the small shake that her and her parents called home she knew something was off. Her and her parents had always been happy with what they had, even though it was mostly table scraps. Kiya was happy though, and couldn't fathom a life better then what she had currently. Though, apparently, her father felt differently. Kiya's father was a gentle, caring man on the inside, even though he didn't look it on the outside. He was always thinking of ways to make life better for his "little girl" though, this time, he had gone too far.
Kiya would find out after the accident that her father was in a great bit of debt with a local "shark". Apparently, he had borrowed more cash then what he could afford to pay back, and this didn't make his cash supplier very happy when he came to collect. That night, when she saw the men in her "house" was the night Kiya's life crumbled.
There were three of them, from what she could tell, and they were ransacking her house. Everything was overturned and broken, what little possessions they had, shattered. The Cash Shark (who was clearly the ring leader of the whole event) was shouting at his men orders. Kiya was barely able to climb up on a crate to peek into her window, and she saw what had happened. Two men were fighting her dad, and, when it was all done, he was dead, nearly gutted, on the floor. Blood splattered around the room. Then her mom came in.
Her mom screamed, which was bad. She alerted the men to her presence that way. And soon, the men were having their way with her. Kiya tried to scream, tried to cry out for help, but all she could do was watch in horror as the men ravaged her body. Hot tears ran down her cheeks, when they finally slit her mother's half, they fled, knowing full well that the cash wasn't there. Kiya doubted if they even thought the cash was there in the first place. Kiya then rushed into her house.
Her mother lay sobbing on the floor, life slowly draining from her eyes. Kiya ran up to her, collapsing on her knees in front of her mother and father. Her mother couldn't say anything, but, she did manage to give Kiya the necklace around her neck. Amazingly, she had been able to hid it from the men. Handing it to Kiya, the love in her gaze said it all, until it faded. All life, faded.
Kiya was small, but she was able to think up a plan. She didn't want anyone to find out what disgrace had happened here, so, she set to work. Collecting the small amount of oil that her family had, she lit it, and ran. Running from her house, her vision blurry with tears, she would watch as it began to burn. Kiya knew that the shake fire would be viewed as an accident, and the charred bodies of her parents would most likely deem them as "being caught in the fire" and that was when Kiya disappeared.
It's been about five years since the accident happened. And Kira's all the colder because of it. She's become a class A "street rat", stealing what she needs to survive, and for that of the small group of orphans she looked after from time to time. Though, after five years of stealing, Kiya decided she'd had enough of it, and that was when her goal of becoming a Ninja was born. She really didn't have a goal, all she knew was that that was most likely what her parents would want.
