Well, it says so in Acts; Go out and make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Forgive me if I'm a little off on the quote) Also, to be as much like Christ as possible (because it's impossible to be 100%) That's what I think anyway

Yagari- The specific verse is Matthew 28:19 but I think it does mention it in Acts as well : )
And I do believe that our "job"(as you called it) as Christians is to be disciples of Christ, to share the Word of God until every ear has heard. We should lead by example, strive to be like Christ and love and forgive unconditionally.

my own belief is that we are meant to go to every corner of the world and ensure that every soul has a chance to know God and Christ. I believe that it is our jobs as Christians to set an example...to not shove the word of God down their throats but to lure them in. to let them see what we offer to change the way the world thinks about Christians.... cause if you did not know...we do NOT have a good rep.....we started the crusades which were bent to other purposes quickly, we are well known for the exploits of those who claim our titles and go protest military funerals, we are known for many things....though very few of these are the will of God....very few are what we are meant to be and it is our job to show that we are who god wants us to be. and I believe that its our job to prove we are those people

I wouldn't call it a job because people don't like their jobs. It's a passion. Anyways there are very few things we are commanded to do in scripture. They are being fishers of men, taking care of the widows and orphans, spreading the to every corner of earth so Christ can come back, being baptized, not to eat food offered to idols, ect. I can go on but it's late and I must sleep.

Ok, first question, anyone even know what our job as Christians is? I am really strong in the word of God with knowledge, cults will quickly find its impossible to trick me Baby question, do the will of our father and in love embrace it forever.

Lots of good answers i may say, seems we have some sage one and stage two Christians here. now how many are willing to give up everything to get God's word out there? and before you answer pretend it will happen with in a day.

I will die for Jesus if I have to because it is He that died for me. I've also been verbally persecuted before, but it is something to rejoice about and feel blessed. I love spreading the Word of God, but I do it a lot online rather than in real life because I'm shy, though I was able to witness a few months back to an Atheist roommate girl at a camp this summer. It was my first time ever, and I'm only 16! I'm so glad that God finally gave me a chance to serve Him after all my prayers for Him to use me to do His Will. Sadly, I haven't read the entire Bible yet. My goal is to read it before 2013.

Stages? What do you mean by stages? I have never heard of that before. What are you basing this ranking on? Are you talking about knowledge, spiritual maturity, or something else? You have me so confused. Now for your answer. We are to sacrifice everything we have. "And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me." Matthew 10:38 Paul even states that we should die daily so Christ can live through us. This means we should even sacrfice our will and wants so we can do God's will.

Dramatica Angeliqua Sadly, I haven't read the entire Bible yet. My goal is to read it before 2013. I think you're allowed to skip all the "begetting". ninja I remember thinking one day "hey, I might read the bible" and opening it to a page that was all genealogy stuff. Pages and pages of so-and-so beget this other guy, that is probably interesting if you're a rabbi but not if you just want a passing knowledge of the OT. So I thought "lol no" and went and did something else.

Letting God change your inner self, such as thought, will, etc 3. Showing an outer change and doing what Christ did or as Christ commanded, such as coming out of the sin, whether that be leaving say a cult, or no longer partaking in the corruption say at work weather is be sharing dirty jokes or what have you.

Batyah 3. I am like on stage three, others might disagree but to them thats like looking through a dirty mirror and don't no nothing about me. People can grow up in Christ in so little time and in record time to. Just dieing for Christ is my favorite activity each day, in a dream once I was shot cold blood up close in the head because I would not reject Christ even up to the point of being murdered in my dreams. If I must leave house in the name of Christ surly God has prepared a better house for me. If I must walk to my death site to introduce God to the people I will venture there, my death will simply send me to heaven even sooner .
