It had not been long since Ankara had set out with the rest of the hunting party for a hunt. It was about midday at that point, or quite close to it, and she was eager to stretch her legs. It felt a little strange having all her cubs all grown up now, but it wasn’t a bad thing, she supposed. Not that she couldn’t say she wasn’t going to miss taking care of them, at least a bit, but now they were bigger and able to find themselves, their place in this pride, or outside it. The latter part of the thought wasn’t as pleasant, but that was an unavoidable part of being a parent. A call ahead caused Ankara to leave those thoughts behind, and she put on a burst of speed to catch up with the rest of the party, lest she get left behind. Surely they must be getting closer at this point, Eos thought to himself. From what he could gather, anyways. He had enjoyed his roaming around with his brother, after having left his old pride, but now he felt more eager to settle down somewhere. Eos wasn’t sure why he wanted to though, not exactly. Was it to train his nose and ears to make up for his loss of sight? Maybe just the idea of a stable source of food. Perhaps also it was that this way Auriaya would be safe as well, and the burden of taking care of him off her shoulders. “So what have you heard of this pride we are heading to?” He asked, mostly to get a conversation going to break the silence.

Amber eyes glanced over her shoulder as Auriaya turned her head to look at her traveling companion. It had been several weeks since she had begun traveling with the other white lion and just have someone else with her was beginning to grow on her. Though the lioness still did not know how she would react to the idea of actually being part of a pride. "Apparently it's a lush, lively place that's almost like a paradise to those that live in it. Some of the greatest kings were born there as well apparently. Also apparently they're very accepting of newcomers and with us both being white, I think we might need that."

Ankara tried her best to keep attention on looking out for prey, after all that was what she was out here for. It would not do to get distracted and lose a possible meal for her pride. A determined look was forced on her face, she didn’t want to let anyone down. Finally a call came through the group of prey sighted. Instinctively she crouched and slowed her pace a bit. The group continued forward, slower until they came to a halt. Slowly she turned her head, looking around her for the other lionesses she knew to be hiding. in the tall grass. Quietly she waited, her attention now more easily focused on the task ahead, with their being something to actually focus on. Then they were all moving forward, slowly and low to the ground. Closer and closer until in a rush they all came at the zebra herd.
This feeling was why she loved hunting so much. Charing through the grass, feet pounding the dirt below, hitting it heavily, but still feeling as if she never touched it at all. She was not surprised when they took one of the prey beasts down, but after it halted it’s movements she looked up to see they had been fortunate enough to even snag two of them.
“Sounds nice.” Was his simple reply. Eos wondered how odd it might feel to be back in a pride, and one so vastly different terrain wise to what he grew up in. Though an accepting place sounded quite nice, and the greatest kinds being born there? Well that was something quite interesting. He would have to find tales of this place within the pride once they got there, cause surely a place that bears great kings would have some interesting stories as well.

Auriaya paws suddenly stopped as her eyes caught sight of what could only be a hunting group of some kind. Given their terrain and what seemed like the colorization of the group she could only assume they had passed into the Pridelands' territory. Though they were obviously not scouts, perhaps they would know she and Eos could join their pride. Assuming the pride had not changed from when she last heard anything about it and suddenly they did not accept new members. "Come on, Eos. I think I see someone up ahead." And again she walked, but at a bit slower of a pace towards the hunters.

Ankara was not the only one pleased with their haul. While compared to the size of the pride this might not be much, it would still feed quite a few mouths. They were getting ready to drag it back when someone mentioned a pair of strangers. Ankara dropped the leg she had just grabbed and looked up, and sure enough there were a pair of lions headed their way. They were also not hard to miss, such bright white against a field of golds and green. “I wonder if they are looking for the pride.” Ankara thought aloud. Without a second thought she jumped over the felled zebra and started their way.
“Hello there!” She called out, grinning broadly. “You two need any help?”
Eos came to a halt as he heard Auriaya’s own paw steps stop, though he had very nearly walked in to her. He opened his mouth, about to ask what was wrong when she spoke. “Oh, that’s great! Maybe they can point us to the pride.” His ears perked forward as he started walking again, attempting to match his own pace with hers by sound. It wasn’t too hard at least.

Auriaya's eyes widened as the lioness leapt over the kill in a single bound. She had felled the zebra will such ease, as had the other lions with her. Of course she was beginning to question her own hunting skills but her pelt was partially to blame. Regardless, this pride already seemed like it had much to teach the two of them. "W-we're looking for the Pridelands." She finally got out after fighting with her own tongue to let her reply to the approaching lioness.

Ankara slowed to a halt some feet away from the pair, who she could now see were not only white but lacked any other markings. Solid white lions? She hadn’t seen many of them, or had she even seen any? She pushed the thought aside as the white female replied. “Oh, well then you are in luck! We are Pridelanders.” She said with a smile, looking from one white lion to the other. “Are you looking to join the pride then?” She asked curiously. Just cause they were looking for it didn’t automatically mean they wished to join, perhaps they had other reasons? She didn’t want to assume anything and look foolish.
Eos once more came to a stop as the other voice, obviously female, was closer. “Then we have found what we are looking for.” He said happily. Now they woudln’t have to keep wandering around not knowing if they’d even get food. And best of all he could find somewhere here to better his skills, to try and become a good hunter despite his current weakness.

Auriaya gave a quick nod to the Pridelander before replying to her question. "We are indeed looking to join. We've traveled a distance to finally get this far though I'm not sure if the pride would accept two white lions into their ranks, especially considering my friend Eos here is mostly blind in both eyes." It was a fact that while she did not like to bring up, she had to to make sure everything was out in the open lest they join and be discovered later only to be exiled for some reason.

Ankara simply smiled. “I’m sure you will be just as welcome as any other within the pride. Come, you can accompany the hunting party and I back to Pride Rock, then we can see to getting you a place to sleep.” She turned and made her way back towards the to the others. After a quick explanation she once more grabbed the zebra leg and, with the help of a couple other females, started to drag the beast back towards the inner parts of the pride’s land.
“Glad to hear that.” He quickly replied. The sounds of the other female’s steps told him she had likely joined back with the hunting party, and they would surely follow soon after. However before he made any move, mostly cause he wasn’t sure where exactly Auriaya stood, he spoke. “Don’t worry, I’m sure this pride will accept us, white pelt or not. That female seemed kind, and if that says anything of the rest of them then we will be alright.” He smiled reassuringly.

At least one of them was confident it seemed. While Auriaya followed after the other lioness back towards the center of the Pridelands, she was still worried about them not being accepted. Regardless though they needed to at least give it a shot. If things didn't work, they could always leave but at least for the moment it would give them a bit of stability in their life. With a nod, more to herself then to anyone else, she continued to move her paws towards their new home with Eos walking close by her.
