On a usual day at this time, Eluf would be in the town of Palisade's, either running business errands for his family, or working the family business of selling fine, beautiful horses. He easily enjoyed such work, not at all minding handling such a large responsibility, but... he also knew it was not entirely his establishment. His father, though trusting in his son, liked to make sure he knew who was interested in their mares and stallions, and what sort of demand there was. Gaining trust, and affiliates, as well as really beefing up their company for more clientele and even partnerships. Eluf wasn't yet skilled in that department yet... the boy was sometimes far too kind for such things. He wasn't as much a go-getter as his father was... apparently it was supposed to come with time and experience.
But on such days, when he wasn't needed, and the horses were all watered and fed for the morning rounds, the young man went to venturing out into nature with his trusty steed Axe at his side. Dressed in his working gear of high boots, trousers, suspenders, and a white shirt, he'd rode his large buck all the way outside of Palisade's to a forest that was thriving with life and beauty. A satchel was fixed across his breast, holding contents that were used by those skilled in the arts of sketching. On days like this, Eluf liked to enjoy solitude and tranquility. He had a single friend, asides from Axe, but she was often busy with farm duties, or in town selling her family's wares, or spending time with one of the town's blacksmith's. Though sweet, and gentle, Eluf really didn't succeed much at gaining acquaintances. Perhaps years of being used to being alone had worn on him. Having to adapt, and simply get used to it... After riding out into the woods, he found a nice place to settle, nestled deep in the heart of the vegetation. A few large boulders were seated, making for a nice scene, along with a trickling stream not as wide as a horses neck was long. It was quiet, almost shy in it's demeanor and sound, hardly harboring any life. But it was still quite lovely. Dismounting his stag, Eluf gave the strong deer a good pat on the shoulder, while Axe's eyes immidiately began scanning the area to make sure it was safe enough for his chosen. Not taking too much mind to it, Eluf made himself comfortable under a tree at it's roots. Leaning against the sturdy trunk, his parchment was pulled from his satchel, pretty curls fluttering softly as a wind breezed past, tickling his ponytail loosely resting on his shoulder. Knee's bent to provide a flat surface, his paper was placed atop, a slab of wood underneath for stability, and a thin charcoal utensil drawn out. Poising it appropriately in his hand, honey green eyes leisurely looked around once more, freckles collecting as his gentle smile fit into place. Listening to the eb and flow of nature put him in a very serene mood... more so than usual.
Glancing to Axe, who was still on high alert, Eluf gave a soft coo to the dutiful buck, making the guardian snap his gaze towards the human, but not budge from his station. Shaking his head, a sigh escaped the man. He was thankful for Axe's protective nature, but sometimes it was a bit too much. "It's safe out here~" he assured, head tipping to admire his companion's form. Deer were so magnificent... having been raised around horses, he had a natural respect and affinity for animals; especially hoofed ones. Now with Axe with him all the time, deer were also brought into a new light. So powerful, yet graceful... much like a sword... Watching the guardian, Eluf's hand began to lightly scratch the charcoal against the parchment, eyes darting from deer, to paper.

Magnificent his a**. Kody was currently covered in mud, chasing down an equally muddy buck because someone just had to have the last laugh and run away as soon as the pack was on his back. Looking to Teague, Kody's eyes narrowed as they watched the buck prance around in the ankle deep mud like it was nothing. Stupid deer. That thing had been a pain in his side ever since he had gotten the totem. Grunting, his legs tried to move faster, to grab the leather leads off the pack that would bring the buck to him. However, he ended up slipping and falling face first in the thick, brown substance that smelled like rotting leaves. It wasn't a pleasant smell, that was for sure. His light strawberry blond hair was completely brownish black by now.
Getting up and just sitting there, Kody gave a frustrated scream. "You stupid thing, why did you have to pick me? You're so frustrating and a pain in my backside!" He yelled at Teague, finally getting up to his hands and knees and made his way to solid ground. Sitting there, he looked down at himself, disgusted and growled.
Teague, on the other hand, had been out of the mud for a short time and currently grazed on the sweet grass that grew beside the mud hole. He was more than amused at his Chosen. Ignoring Kody, however, proved more entertaining. Kody would get so red in the face and looked like a spitting cat if Teague ignored him. Thus, he did. His tail flicked as he continued to graze before a snap caught his attention. Startled when Kody lunged, Teague took off and literally ran away.
However, Kody knew where the stupid buck was going. He was going where he always did to get out of trouble. Sighing, the mud covered boy got up and pulled work shirt off , groaning and shaking his head. Mud had gotten in his shirt and smeared his skin, causing it to itch. Sighing even harder, he took off for the nearest river. He had to get cleaned up.

While the scuffle was going on elsewhere, Eluf was contently sketching along. Axe hadn't budged from his station, quite used to the human performing such acts of practice as him as a muse. Earthy eyes kept at either parchment, or stag, switching between the both periodically, until... he got to a point that he was content with what he had.
"There..." staring down at his work, a sweet smile graced the pretty boy's soft features. His guardian twitched an ear at the quiet voice, golden eyes darting over to see what was up... noting the content expression on Eluf's face. Walking over slowly, the large buck lowered his head to take a look too, turning his head one way so an eye could see. He only snorted softly, and lifted his head to give a light nuzzling to the pretty curly hair that was pulled into a loose ponytail along the boy's shoulder, and moved on to check the other side of the tree for any sign of danger. "Guess that means you like it." Eluf chuckled softly, giving his sketch another look, he turned the page to start anew. It.. didn't take much for him to think of something else to try sketching out... a fellow he'd met in town not long ago...
Axe paced about slowly, taking note to everything in his line of vision, long ears swiveling about, listening intently. He stopped abruptly though as he heard.. someone approaching. His sensitive ears stood rigid, body flexing, gaze locked onto the source that was coming closer... Snorting loudly, he stomped towards it, not waiting for who ever it was to make it close enough to his guardian.

The river wasn't too far off, but it wasn't very fun when one was carrying packs meant for a guardian to be carrying. Kody was sure he looked like a muddy monster. Just nearly covered from head to toe, minus a few spots from where his clothes had been folded. A hilarious sight for sure. Just freaking fabulous. He was annoyed. More than annoyed at Teague. Teague was lucky if Kody was going to let him anywhere near him today. Stupid guardian. He was more annoying than he was helpful. "Why couldn't I get a guardian who is nice and docile? Why did I have to get the one who wouldn't listen to a thing I say? Who doesn't help out and just waste my coin when I feed him while he just spits out the best I can afford? Stupid creature," he muttered, stomping his way towards someone. He would slip in the grass every now and then, the mud making it a little hard to find purchase for his footing. Finally looking up, he spotted a boy and a guardian not too far from him. He blinked and stopped where he was. Hey. He'd never seen them before. He remembered everybody he ever met, or he liked to think so. Kody was very confuse right now. "..Hello," was all he could say, tilting his head this way and that. He was honestly trying to put a name with the face, but he couldn't. Coming up dry and empty in the memory department. The farmer crossed his muddy arms over his equally muddy chest and stood there rather awkwardly. Did he stay and talk? Did he leave him here? Was he lost? Oh, good question! Might as well ask. "Ah... ...Are... you lost?" Genius.

Axe was not pleased with the foreign Chosen's presence, making him scuff and stomp at the ground to show this displeasure, along with firm snorts from his flared nostrils. Ripped muscles were flexed to their maximum state, head lifted high to present his large, intimidating posture at its finest. He didn't budge, nor make any sort of notion towards Kody in response to the question asked. He just stood strong, like a guard protecting their responsibility.
But Eluf was able to hear that familiar snort, and that aggression that was flowing through the buck's mind was communicated to him, "Axe.." standing up, parchment and pencil placed down, the pretty boy started after where his guardian had bound off to, pushing back his silky curls as they decided to tumble into his line of sight from time to time. Reaching where the stand off was going down, honey green eyes went from the stag to the unknown man, "Oh, hello there." Eluf called out, in a soft friendly tone, taking a stance beside his companion to stroke the shiny black fur in hopes to calm him, "My apologies if he startled you, sir." the young man went on to speak, an apologetic smile gracing his gentle features for the farmer, noting his rather... muddy attire.
Blinking, he looked up at Axe, then back at the stranger, delicate brows knitting a little more, "Oh dear, I hope he did not cause you any harm, sir."
