Since Rock and Roll, Heavy Metal and the like, obviously throwing the 'horns' is common in their concerts.

And ever since the ties with the Devil, now being called 'Diablo' instead of 'Horns' with some theorists. Some people throw this gesture around when they point to various things, read books in that way, and so many other things. Those of you who know its origins, what are your opinions of it?

I've seen it used for a football team, I never use that sign simply because it looks stupid and I don't want to look like a degenerate punk.
I only think that it would be wrong to use that sign if you were using it to worship Satan directly.
If you were using it because you are a Longhorns fan then I think you're safe, but to each their own.

It's an old gesture to ward off bad luck. That one dude in Black Sabbath started doing it back in The Day because Ozzy used to throw up the Peace sign and he wanted a hand gesture too, so he used the one his Italian grandmother used to do to ward off the Evil Eye. It got picked up in metal culture and now it sort of means "rock on!". It's a gesture of approval, enjoyment and support. The ties with the devil are pretty recent and more of a misunderstanding.
