Background: Back when Asami was a child, she was teased by all of the other kids because she lost her parents. She only had one childhood friend that never made fun of her. One day when she and her friend were walking down the street, a kishin came from nowhere and killed her best friend, leaving Ami by herself. A week after the death Ami became very frustered and angry. Without her friend to protect her anymore, Ami became more awar of her surroundings. She was walking home from school alone and she was pushed into an alley. Ami had no fighting skills, but she knew she had to do something. She tried to think of a way, then her arm wuz glowing. After a few short seconds, it turned into a sword. The thugs saw her and ran away screaming. Once she found out that she was a weapon, she decided to use this to get back at the kishin that had killed her friend and join DWMA.
