The pink and purple mare blinked her soft green eyes to the sun that was hitting her in the face until a small shadow of a bear covered her face. "Good morning Akira." Sayoko grumbled, she was normally all rays of sunshine and joyful as can be but her dream from last night was leaving her to be anything but grumpy and a little empty. Akira sniffed her face and then licked it trying to wake her up a little bit more. "Enough Akira, I'm not in the mood right now." She moved away from the little bear and then looked around herself. Between the two of them they had gathered enough pretty looking objects and rarities that she had never seen before but she was still feeling like she could capture one more rarity, one more special thing that no one had ever seen before. There were several odd colored flowers that were throughout the world, she knew it because nothing was the same everywhere right?

"Akira we need more special items, perhaps we need to go and search again!" She huffed to herself more so in aggravation because she knew that the emptiness probably wouldn't go away from obtaining trinkets. It was the adventure of a life time that she longed for, no rather hoped for. She loved to venture to places far and near but when it all came down to it, she always ventured back to her little home in the patch of trees by the flower meadow. "Let’s start running until we reach another field of flowers!"She looked down at the little bear and then grinned. She wouldn't stop until she was sure that they found an adventure of a lifetime. It had to be one that wouldn't leave them bored or longing for more by a long shot. Her hooves pounded against the ground as she raced away from her home sweet home and towards what she would hope to be a new start for a new day. Her long black hair trailed behind her as she raced under the warming sun and grass bending under her weight. Akira had no choice but to follow after to the best that he could but he had his share of grumbles to make as he trailed behind her.

The day was certainly blossoming into something of a beaut. Though Meso would never admit it, he enjoyed looking from the skies to the earth beneath his hooves. It was something deep down in him that consistently bothered him, reminding him that the situation he was in was nothing more than a terrible nightmare. His concious was certain there was something better for him out there and he wasn't sure if the small voices were correct, but he could aways hope he supposed.

None of this became a reality, he never spoke of it, never voiced his opinion of the situation. What could he do? Fighting the mare that had let him grow up was not a choice. She was vicious, unforgiving and definitely sly. Neva truly gave much of herself to the young foal and he expected no more than cold hellos and high expectations for the rest of his life. So he did, he treasured these days and certainly treasured the voice in his head.

All emotions aside, he stood there, wearing a rather grumpy look as he wandered through woods and then a field. The flowers in the area were absolutely stunning, and with the colors, he nearly blended in. A feeling of safety washed over him and he let his tense muscles relax.

Within no time at all, the pair reached a new field of flowers and they were spectacular no less. The field held many flowers of different variety, from orchids to lilies and even daisies. It was a huge field and it seemed to stretch as far her eyes could see, it made her happy because they could explore the field all day if she pleased. The flowers seemed to even be arranged in colors almost because there were some that were as bright of a yellow and orange as the setting sun. There was even some that were such a deep purple it made her ache to put it in her black hair just for her to have something to match her strange markings on her legs. It seemed like a rainbow of flowers laid out before her and she couldn't be happier than this moment because of what she had found. "Oh Akira look at all the wonderful treasures!" She walked carefully over to a very bright orange and yellow lily sniffing it gently. "Be as careful as you can Akira, try not to break or hurt too many." She whispered the words this time as if speaking loudly again might disturb the flowers. Sayoko knew it was stupid to expect not to harm this beautiful place, she was huge where the flowers were tiny and delicate, just walking through would crush them to the earth. She reached down lower to the ground and bit the flower stem, cutting it from its home. She smiled at her new found item and moved her head so that she could place it into her long black braid. The mare couldn't help and explore the flower field more though and what it had to offer deeper inside its treasure trove, she was sure that there was something here just for her to pick.

Relaxation never did last long for this stallion, given a few more minutes to himself he suddenly spotted a rather dark figure, well not completely dark, she bore some bright/light pinks with darker purple. It was an intriguing bit of color. What was the mare doing though? He was just close enough to hear what she thought of the flowers. Treasures. Then she whispered to something, a bear? He was hitting some kind of unique jack pot. Perhaps Neva would be pleased to see sucha bounty, should he be able to convince the mare to return to him that is.

For now, stationed where he was, nothing would be happening. So he decided to make the move, considering it was more than likely his pelt that helped him blend in. Noting her idea of the flowers he treaded lightly, because despite his gruff attitude he was still in love with the natural world around him and respected her love of flowers, though he'd never admit it. "Hello?" First contact! He spoke slowly, hoping not to startle her to much, his eyes went from her, to the bear and back to her. Promptly finding it more convenient to ignore the bear at this time.

He grumped a bit. "What are you doing in my fields?" He questioned, not harshly, but was certainly on the edge of harsh. These weren't even his fields, but he enjoyed a good reaction or two. Especially from mares, he found they coudl be overly dramatic and it coudl be funny in most occasions.

After placing the new flower in her mane, she was just about to wander much deeper into the flower field when an unexpected voice called out to her. It made her jump in surprise but she didn't have to search for long until she discovered just where and who the voice was coming from, it was a handsome and unique colored stallion. It took her a second to realize his true shape and form because he blended in with the natural surrounding so well. "Hello." She greeted him in return only to be polite, it wasn't very pleasant when there was a rude atmosphere and she was sure that rudeness didn't belong in such a place as this. But his next words really shocked her, but only because she didn't know someone could own beauty. "I'm sorry I had no idea that these were your fields. To be honest I had no idea one could really own beauty..I thought it was to be shared." She didn't think for a second about holding in her ideas, it was a part of the conversation now specially since it had to do with the field.
Her soft green eyes traveled over the stallion, she admired his earthy toned coat and even more so his brighter colored wings. She found herself slowly moving closer to him, ignoring her grumbling and growling bear walking beside her. As she got closer to him, she noticed his gentle teal eyes and strange star trinkets adorning his body. She allowed her eyes to inspect him just a little bit more and found that he had what appeared like leaves decorating his coat, it made her want to reach out and see if they were real.

He watched her slowly, her gentle swaying and moving was intimidating in a sense. She was ever so careful to avoid plant upon plant and seemed saddened when she crushed one of the beloved flowers. Meso eyed up the femme, she was a pretty piece from top to bottom. His wings twitched slightly, the space between them had grown small and he wasn't sure how to feel about this.

"Beauty can be owned." He said, a gruff tone taking over more-so as she got closer and closer. He was a bit taken a back by her positively brave attitude. A random stallion struts in and her second reaction is to close-in, the first being to question him? He nearly growled, he would have if he could. "These flowers, this field.. they are mine." He stated plain as day, his bold deep voice echoing slightly.

He simply when quiet now. Her eyes were wandering, from his eyes to the rest of his body. Taking a moment to step back a little, he eyed her up a little further. She was a light purpley pink, not quite pastel, but near enough. She was winged, perhaps Meso could test those out at some point. The one thing he simply admired was her braid. It was certainly simple, especially in this field of flowers, but it was well woven and she made it beautiful with little touches of color. He quickly became aware of her obsession.

As if beginning to be drawn in he suddenly noticed a look in her eye.
Was she going to.. touch him?

As though he could predict the emotion he took another cautionary step back. Eyes narrowed as he finally let them meet hers in a defiant stare, as if daring her.

Sayoko was still staring at the strange stallion and all his wonders, she was wondering about those trinkets. She was sure that they had to be very rare and highly valuable to him, not to mention what kind of a story they must hold behind them. Akira's eyes kept going from Sayoko to the new stranger and he was starting to become worried that the stranger might have done something to her. His growl began to deepen, it seemed like he didn't have a choice in the matter. He inched closer to Sayoko and without hesitation he opened his little mouth and then within seconds, it was clamped onto her long black braid. Then he took off running at full speed, he was determined now more than ever to get her away from this stupid field and that weird stallion. Sayoko was mesmerized by everything that made up the stallion before her when she was suddenly being pulled away from him unwillingly, she screamed out in panic. "What in the?!" The words were all she could say before she tripped over her own legs trying to get her balance and run after her own hair and a certain black bundle of fur. She fell into the field of flowers and her heart sank, she had probably crushed hundreds of flowers when she fell. "Akira!!!!" She screamed in embarrassment and sadness, she closed her eyes hoping that it was all just a dream. Her purple and pink wings that were pressed hard against her body twitched as she felt the tears sting her eyes. She was starting to cry but not from her embarrassment but because she had hurt all of the flowers in the stallion's field. "I..I'm s..so..so..so..sorryy." Sayoko lifted her face up from the ground but tilted it so that her bangs would hide her eyes away from the stranger. She didn't want anyone to see her cry, she didn't care that she sounded like a babbling idiot but she knew that she didn't look pretty when she cried. "I..I..I...ki..killed..th..them..." She broke down into harder sobs and hid her face into the broken flowers of the field that she had destroyed.

Though the reality was that seconds had passed he thought a few minutes had. As if in slow motion she was speaking to him one second than dragged by a little bear familiar the next. Wide eyed and nearly snickering he watched the aggressive creature drag the full grown mare to the ground. That's when things began to get serious. Her body hit the ground like that of a dead mare, not the lively creature he had just seen.

"You there." He spoke in a brisk, angry voice. It echoed like low thunder as he galloped to her side. The bear stayed still, or so he saw. He wasn't sure where to look. Evene he, whom had held nothing high in value knew the value of another individual. This bear had solidly proven that it did not know the value of this mare. "You have disrespected this mare, what say you about this?" He nearly growled once more. Aggression was all part of him, he was defensive, angry, sad, his eyes usually showed a kinder side, but right now he was infuriated.

"Now now.." He hushed the mare, she was heaving deep breaths and sobbing now. This bear, a familiar he assumed, was supposed to act on friendship. If this was his way of showing 'friendship' well.. even Meso was nicer. "The flowers.. they will grow back and see another spring." He said, he would not wear a smile, the flowers had suffered because of that bear, with this in mind he stood to full height, wings relaxed at his sides and eyes narrowed.

"Leave." He stated simply. Her familiar.. her friend or not.. this bear was not welcome any longer.

The pain and sorrow of what had happened filled her soul, she had ruined the flowers, it didn't matter that Akira was trying to pull her away. She had tripped and fell into the flowers, she was the one that had been trying to be careful and not hurt to many as she was being dragged away but in the process there were too many that had been crushed by her weight. Sayoko was lost in her own thoughts for a while until she heard soft words being spoken to her but she only even then understood a word every now and again. She was just so lost and saddened about her actions, she couldn't face anyone because she was ashamed of herself. With the scene replaying in her mind over and over, she tucked her head closer to her body, shutting out the world. Akira thought about how he didn't want Sayoko to fall, it was the very last thing he wanted to happen. He didn't want her to become hurt ever! He never wanted her to become injured or be hurt by anything or anyone, so he had decided to pull her by her hair instead. He lowered his head to the ground really ashamed of himself because he knew that he did this to her. It didn't help that the stallion was yelling at him like he knew everything. Akira rolled back his shoulders and looked the stallion straight in the eyes. Sayoko was his friend and they had been together for a long time, she knew him better than anyone. Akira pondered the chances of the stallion letting him by to check on Sayoko and get her out of this mess so there was really only one option. Without a second thought or hesitation, he launched himself at the stallion, his little mouth wide open.

Bonuses, there were always bonuses. First off Meso was built like a house in a human mind. Large and sturdy, not much could take him down a notch. His wings, everyone always forgot the wings. Stern as he was, he had a strong body to back him up. This left him with very little to contend with. So when the bear lunged at him, the only thing the bear truly had on his side was the element of surprise. While Meso was attempting to woo the mare to calm down the bear had done the opposite. In Meso's mind the bear was a terribly selfish individual.

With a decent pull back of his wings and a powerful flap Meso pushed the bear back, rearing up on his hind legs he was able to avoid some of the claw damage, but he felt the tingle where he knew he'd find small gashes. The bear was certainly persistent, but persistence only went on as long as there was stamina. Meso knew he had it in him to last a good while, did the bear?

Instead of advancing, Meso found himself nearing the mare, she had nearly balled up as much as a mare could and he found it heart breaking. Heart breaking! That was certainly something he'd never felt before, nor would he ever feel it again, he was sure of this. Keeping the bear in mind he used his wings to lift himself out of the path, leaving Sayoko wide open. He had no intention of letting them leave, but he understand in a light sense what was happening.

"Though I shouldn't let you near her, after the way you treated her... I'd rather not risk wounds on either of us." He was becoming very factual, straight to the point, nothing more and never anything less. "If you want to continue to 'defend' the little lady, then come towards me some more." That daring look shone in Meso's eyes once more. This was becoming a game. It started off quietly, he could only hope the taunting brought about something a little more.. defensive and insane.

A bundle of black fur landed in the flowers and almost rolled but he caught himself. He looked up at the stallion and glared but then he realized that he could get to Sayoko. All thoughts of the stallion were erased from his mind even though seconds ago he was being taunted into trying to attack him more, he shook off all the remaining anger and negative emotions. The bear slowly walked over to the mare and burrowed into the bundle of sorrow that she had made her body. He had really only dug his way in so that he could reach her face and nuzzle her cheek. It wasn't enough to get her attention though like it had in the past. It was hurting him even more that he had broke her heart like he had, he didn't know what to do for her this time. He tried to lick her face and get rid of her tears but even that didn't seem to bring her out of it. Akira tried to grumble and growl to get her attention, she seemed to twitch a little but that was all he got. He felt utterly defeated, he felt like he really failed her, like he shouldn't even be her familiar or friend anymore. The little black bear wiggled his way away from her face and moved from her body.
Once out, he just stood there and looked at her, he had no idea how to bring her back from the dark place that she was in. He found himself finally laying there and just staring at where her face was tucked against her body. He knew she was hurting, really aching inside. His mind was working over time, trying to figure out what could possibly bring her out of this darkness. It suddenly hit him, she was after the rarest thing of all, if he could just find it! But it had to be something to get her attention, his heart dropped though because he couldn't do this on his own and he couldn't get the stallion to help him because he didn't even know him nor could he talk to him. Akira's mind continued to turn over, maybe just maybe if the stallion didn't have something to bring her around he might know where they could get something. Akira stood up and grumbled to the stallion as loud as he could, Sayoko depended on it.

Attitudes were changing left right and center. Directly in front of the stallion was a sobbing mare and a grumbling bear. One main draw back, Meso didn't know where to begin, social situations were his weak point and he found himself stuck in the middle of one, where the bear could not communicate. With this in mind he simply cocked his head to the right, what on earth did the bear want?

He tried to think as quickly as possible, this task wasn't easy given what he was considering. It was either a sad mare or the gift he was about to give. He sighed softly, aggression bubbling and then simmering into a purely quiet rage. Meso supposed if he were to run into this mare again he'd want to be able to suffer another conversation. He couldn't burn any bridges before he started his real life outside of being a young adult. Being an adult meant being collected.

Not being very good, yet again noted, with social life he was blunt. "Would you like one of my stars?" He offered plainly. He wasn't sure what kind of reaction this would bring, but he offered either way. "Maybe you can put it in your mane or something?" He stated this curtly, remembering the pretty way she was decorating her mane and tail with flowers. His stars were small, but certainly nice and genuinely special. Though Meso didn't know where they came from, they had always been a part of him and they were similar to some of the flowers. Perhaps it would have the same impact as the flowers?

He waited quietly now, the bear seemed to still be glaring at him, it was kind of uncomfortable to have the beady eyes stare, but Meso chose to try and ignore this.

A rather loud noise startled Sayoko, she had never heard that kind of noise, not that she could remember even if she had. She made herself focus on the noises going on around her, she didn't know what had happened since she went into her own little world but now that she was in this one a little better, it was high time for her to pay attention. She didn't move a muscle but she just laid there and listened.
Within a few moments the stallion from before started to speak to her, she was surprised that he was even still around. The mare started to think about how perhaps he was something special to pursue and he might just be better than any material object when his words registered in her mind. He was trying to give her one of his stars! Sayoko's eyes flew open without hesitation but she caught herself before she jumped up. Her mind began to work in over time as she began to wonder if it was just because she was upset. Her heart began to ache because she was sure that those stars were probably really special to him. "No." She moved her head slowly away from her body so she wouldn't cause herself any injury. "Those are special to you I'm sure, I apologize for my behavior and for ruining the flowers. But you should give the star to someone who is special to you." Sayoko stood up carefully and extended her wings to make sure they had not gotten too stiff. She turned around and faced the stallion, her soft green eyes a little darker from emotion. "I love nature and would never harm it purposefully, I will make this wrong right." She told the stallion just how she felt about the situation and she wasn't just telling him what she would do, when she set her mind to something, it gets done. "It is a promise. I will find flowers to replace the ones that were ruined here." She spoke honestly about what she was planning and she would make sure that Akira would help her.

Someone special? Meso remained quiet as she spoke, he was only part when she spoke after she said this. He never had anyone to be close to before and was not considered close to anyone. Shrugging it off he came back to the conversation just in time to hear her mention 'nature', his heart strings tugged a bit and his eyes became lighter, less aggressive and even his body language shifted. Not completely sure how he should respond he heaves a deep breath.

"What would someone do with them if there was no one special to share them with?" The question probably sounded as weird as it definitely was. He shifted his head to match the questioning tone and his wings dropped a little. The tension in the air slowly fading. He gazed hopefully in her emotional eyes hoping for a legitimate nswer. He was sure he could simply keep them, but use would they bring. Even by mentioning offering them he had brought her out of her 'shell' moment.

He stared at her, awaiting an answer while he softly giggled at her proclamation. She would fix the flowers? That would take mending that even Mother Nature herself would not be capable of doing, he was sure. "Don't worry about nature, she can handle herself I am sure. Next season, the nutrience brought by these flowers will make the ground ripe enough for several dozen more flowers." Fact was fact, hers was silly promise that could not be kept.

When she was finally finished with her little tantrum she realized that his behavior had changed. She was starting to think she had somehow upset him when his words surprised her. "Well...you would save them until you find that someone special." She spoke the words and found herself moving closer to him as if to comfort him but she stopped herself, she didn't really know the stallion. She instead smiled at him and then laughed softly at herself because after all this time she realized she had not introduced herself. Even more so, when she heard him speak about nature fixing itself, he was absolutely right. "I beg your forgiveness, I have not introduced myself, I am Sayoko and the black and purple bundle of fur is Akira." She spoke with kindness because she realized that the stallion was a little bit like her. "I was both rude and made a fool of myself all in one day." She didn't really normally speak this much but somehow she just wanted to talk to this stallion all the time.
