Walking slowly through the grass, Nishant wasn't really sure where he was headed this time around. For him, right now, there really wasn't anywhere for him to go. Nothing to do, no one to see; he wasn't quite sure whether this loner lifestyle was the best thing for him, but it was just so hard to communicate with others sometimes. Either they talked far too much for his liking, or he didn't talk enough for them. Either way, things rarely worked out for him to be able to stick around.

If he really thought about it, though, he probably wasn't ready to stay in one place, with another creature, or anything like that. He had thought about joining a colony, once, but it just didn't really....click well enough. And goodness knows he's never met a female of any species that he could tolerate for too too long. Not yet, anyways. But, it would be nice to have a friend or so.

Stopping in his tracks, he leaned his front down close to the ground, stretching out. He almost felt like taking a nap, but there wasn't really anywhere nearby where he'd feel comfortable sleeping for awhile.

Eros didn't care for company. Or anyone, for that matter... asides from her father's. She'd yet to find any reason to have friends, or relations of any kind. She'd grown up without anyone outside of the males that'd adopted her just fine, didn't seem like much point in allowing anyone else into her life. Besides, she wasn't sure she liked anyone who wasn't of her approval around... and that was hard to accomplish. She was a territorial, controlling female, learning it from an early age after having to live a life of abandonment for a good long while. Struggling and fighting to survive, narrowly avoiding being killed... yeah... she didn't exactly feel inclined to dealing with anyone. Thus any encounters were brief, and often had the other running or just clearing out from her defensive behavior.

At the current moment, she was sprawled out in the shade of a low laying tree that managed to cover a good amount of ground. Her paws were placed on the ground, and licked consistently of blood from a delicious meal just enjoyed moments ago elsewhere. If one was close enough, a low rumbling purr might be heard... tail flicking casually behind her, pale blue eyes lidded halfway. It was a rare sight to see the tyrant of a lioness so calm and complacent... or at least appear to be. She exuded all the signs of one being carefree and welcoming... until, that is, she picked up on his scent. Round ears snapped upright straight away, head lifting just as fast. Her nose twitched anxiously, inhaling the unknown strangers scent, eyes staring right in his direction... slowly, oh so slowly, her eyes narrowed, and her lips peeled slightly to let a low growl give warning to the male in her usual... 'greeting'.

Lifting his head up, Nishant could almost feel his pupils dilate as a certain...scent entered his nostrils. Yes, he knew very well the scent of fairly fresh blood. Something had bled out somewhere, though he knew it probably wasn't all-that recent. Still, it definitely piqued the dark leopard's interest. If there was nothing else to do today, he could at least find out where it was coming from; and hey, maybe there'd be an easy meal involved, too.

Quickening his pace, Nishant followed the scent to a tree; he was so caught-up in the smell of blood that he'd failed to noticed what accompanied it - a lioness. Stopping just yards away, he identified the scent not long before he heard a trademark growl coming from the spot he had initially been headed towards.

At first, he was a little taken aback; it wasn't often that he let himself get so caught-up in something that it pretty much blinded his senses. But, being a fairly large male leopard, Nishant wasn't afraid of the brown and neon figure that was now within his vision. He wasn't one to pick a fight, but he was still a little curious.

Coming in a little closer, Nishant was a bit on-edge. He tried to look as non-threatening as he could, but still wanted to make sure that this lioness knew that he wasn't to be trifled with. Though, she really didn't look it, either.

As the leopard revealed himself, Eros got onto her paws slowly, but stayed in a crouched position, the fur on her back standing slightly, fangs baring a little more. Her eyes were narrowed and poised on him, claws kneading the earth as her growl continued to rumble defensively. His pause was taken into consideration, but it still didn't make the lioness lessen her aggressive front. Tail twitching in agitation, not willing to give up the temporary territory she'd claimed, Eros just watched him and waited... for him to make a stupid move.

So far though, he was showing some smarts, keeping his distance and what not. But she wouldn't back down until she knew that he wasn't coming in to take what she'd deemed to be hers. Size or not, it didn't matter to the female. She'd taken on large males in her day, one of her father's being quite a big lion himself, thus training her to be able to handle those that had a advantage in such an element. She was fearless, one could say. And stubborn as an ox.
