Lounging on a branch not-too high off the ground, Kali was enjoying the heat that seemed to radiate from the ground while still staying in the comfort of the shade. While she loved to sunbathe, it was really nice sometimes to just chill out in the shade, and not heat up her dark coat any more than necessary. Also, it was good to keep the barbed wire that wrapped around her neck from getting too hot; the pain from it was more than tolerable, but she really didn't like concentrated heat like that.
Stretching out her claws, she let out a long sigh, playfully swatting at her bone scythe that she had loosely hung from a protruding nob on the same branch. As hard as she found it actually interacting with mortals, Kali was quite fond of their world. It was so warm here, and she did always have some fun tormenting others. Not in....such a mean way, though.

Buluu tended to be on the move all the time. He usually just stopped to rest, eat and flirt. He couldn't seem to sit still even until he was so tired he couldn't move anymore. He was getting close to that point now as he searched for a tree to rest under.
His eyes were scanning the savannah for any shade he could find. He'd spotted a single tree with good shade and was now heading straight for that tree. He was paying little attention to the occupants of the limbs above the ground. His biggest worries would be grounded not above him so he almost never looked into the tree tops before he laid down. He just couldn't walk anymore and the shade of the tree was perfect. He laid down right at the base of the tree and closed his eyes with a sigh.

Closing her eyes for a moment, Kali slipped off briefly. She was never really worried about others approaching her, mostly because, worst-case scenario, she could just fly away. But as she took in a deep breath, she was a little surprised to find that someone had actually approached her.
Opening her eyes, they slid downwards, zeroing in on a pale-colored...cheetah? Her ears flicked up a bit, having not actually ever met one before. She had heard things about them, like about their speed, their leaner bodies; but it was really interesting actually seeing one up-close.
Well, for a fleeting moment, at least.
"So, you're wanting to escape the heat as well?" Giving a fiendish grin, she let one of her paws still twirl the dangling scythe that hung from her branch. She debated having a little fun with this cheetah, maybe putting him in a little danger, but she wasn't sure if she was really feeling energetic enough to harass a mortal.

Buluu always pushed himself during his travels that by the time he laid down to rest he had little energy left. When a voice came from above him he jumped slightly and peered up into the tree to look at the creature the voice had come from. Once he saw her his ears perked up in curiousity. He realized there was a lion laying in the tree above him but she wasn't a normal lion, she had wings. Buluu had met a lion with wings before and he remembered him rather well. This lioness could only be a god.
His luck must have been either really good to run into two gods in his life or really bad depending on how someone would want to view the situation. "Yes I am Miss." He replied not exactly sure what would be the polite way to address a god. He just hoped Miss did not offend her. "I do hope I am not intruding on your space. I would be extremely embarrassed if I had bothered a god."

Miss? Miss? That was a new one. Kali had been called quite a few things in her lifetime, but Miss was definitely not one of them. Oh well, she didn't mind it, and if that's how this cheetah wanted to address her, then so be it.
"You seem so....nervous." Rolling off the branch in one smooth movement, Kali pressed her paws into the dirt lightly, before stretching out. The wire that was wrapped around her had cut into her slightly on her way down, but she didn't mind it. "Don't be so on edge. I haven't done anything yet to make you be, have I?" Sliding her eyes to the side to look at him, she gave him a smile. Yeah, yet was definitely the key word there. Sometimes, there really were reasons to be on edge around her, but she was really in a pretty good mood today, so there might not be any reason to come, either.
"But call me Kali." She definitely preferred her own name to any title, even if it was something extravagant like 'Queen Mistress' or something like that. Actually, no. She didn't really care for titles at all, now that she thought about it.

Buluu's gaze followed the goddess as she rolled off the branch and landed on the ground. "I guess I am. I've met a god before. He was a bit of a grump but not too bad. It might be because you have the form of a lion... I've always been rather nervous around lions." He replied truthfully. He just couldn't help the nervous edge he kept around lions. He'd been roughed up by several before.
"Kali is a lovely name." He complimented with a smile. "I am Buluu. It is a pleasure to meet such a lovely lady." In a way Buluu was a bit crazy because no matter what species a female was, even a god, she was beautiful in his eyes and he couldn't help telling her that. As he gazed at her he noticed the barbed wire around her neck and limbs. He had never seen such an object before but it looked like it was digging into her pretty deeply.
"I hope you don't see me rude but is that gray stuff around your neck painful? It looks like it might be hurting you."

"Oh, well if I'd known, I would've appeared to you as something else; maybe even a cheetah." Looking up towards the sky, Kali couldn't help but grin thinking about it. She had only used her 'camouflage' a few times, but she really did enjoy it. Creatures always tended to let their guards down around their own species a bit more, so it made for quite the encounter.
"You really think so?" Looking right at him, Kali's grin dropped for a moment. She had never been complimented in such a way, it almost felt like she was being teased. Though, no mortal so far had had the audacity to tease her, so she thought it was probably a genuine sentiment. It felt nice, though, to actually hear someone say those words; while Kali was a childish hoodlum, she was still very much a female, and sometimes, she wanted to be treated as such.
"This - it's nothing at all." Bringing a small smile back to her face, she shook her chest a bit, situation the metal a bit differently. "I hardly feel it at all any more." Staring at the ground briefly, she paused, still lingering a bit on his comment. "You know...most mortals think all this is creepy." Wiggling a bit, she referred to herself. It was almost puzzling, the fact that he might actually think that she was anything close to lovely.

"Yes I may have been more relaxed had you took the form of a cheetah but I would not have seen the real you and even though the real you looks like a lion I still apprieciate that much more." He replied honestly. He had seen a god transform his image into something different before. To him it was a bit disturbing but he was glad to have gotten the chance to see what the god could do and now he knew that the god of lightening was not the only god who could change shape.
Something about the way her expression changed for a few moments after her question had Buluu wondering if she thought he was not being genuine with his compliment. He was always genuine with his compliments, always. He would never tell a lady she was lovely unless he meant it and he had yet to meet a lady he didn't think was lovely. "I really think you are lovely and your appearance is not creepy to me. They are intriguing to me but not creepy. I actually really like your bone weapon. Does it really cause a good amount of damage like it appears it could?"

"Huh." Eyeing the cheetah, Kali wasn't sure if he was being earnest or sly. The Goddess had come to be a bit paranoid of mortals by nature, mostly because she generally just harassed them or terrorized them, so it seemed a little odd that one would be kind to her. Maybe he hadn't heard about her antics.
Her expression brightened when he asked about her scythe. Not many asked about it; rather, they would just run from it. "You really like it?!" Bouncing up and down, she looked back up at it as it hung from the branch. "I really love it so. And yes, it does quite a bit of damage." Flexing her claws, a sly grin rose on her face. She had gotten into a few scuffles since coming to the rogue lands; mostly with male lions, as they were the only ones who tended to challenge her at all.

Buluu had heard nothing about her he actually knew nothing about her at all except that she was a god. He wasn't bothered by her because of his encounter with the god of lightening. He figured she wouldn't do any more to him than the god of lightening had so he was not really concerned about being hurt with the weapons she had.
At her question about him liking it Buluu nodded vigorously. "Oh yes! It's the first of it's kind I've ever seen and it really catches an felines attention." He replied as he gazed up at it from where it hung on the branch. He really was wishing he knew how to make one for himself at that moment. "It looks very menacing and dangerous. I wouldn't want to go up against it."

"Aaah, that makes me happy." Grinning widely, Kali was being uncharacteristically happy, given that the only thing that was happening right now was a conversation. She became bored rather easily, and mostly the only thing that could get her in a good mood was being a little mischievous. Or rolling around in the sunshine. That did it, too.
"Yes, I imagine you wouldn't." Bouncing on her paws, she eyes the slender cheetah, vaguely thinking about what damage it'd be able to do to him. It brought a small crooked smile to her face, but she quickly let the thought leave her. "I don't know what I'd do if I was a delicate mortal." Furrowing her brow, she didn't even want to think about it. Their very existences seemed so temporary; nope, not the life for her at all.

Buluu couldn't help but grin with her. She seemed so sweet in personality to him but looked so menacing in appearance. She certainly was not acting menacing to him and he was really beginning to like her.
At her last statement about being mortal he shrugged slightly. "It's not too bad but it does make things challenging but I think that's what I like about it. The challenge to stay alive even when the odds are completely stacked against you. It's a thrilling feeling thinking you might die but then making it out alive." He chuckled thinking of how many times he had already come close to death and still managed to make it out alive.

"Huh." Stretching her wings out, Kali wasn't too sure whether she'd enjoy a feeling like that. In fact, she rather liked knowing that she could generally clobber the snot out of most of her opponents. But, it was just a difference of perspective.
"I don't really recall ever coming close to dying." Though, that was probably what happened that caused this most recent rebirth. It seemed like a big task, killing off a god or goddess, but she supposed it mustn't have been an impossible feat, given how many rebirths there actually were. The thought kind of frightened her, thinking that there was, in fact, someone out there completely capable of taking her life. Best to try and stay away from that.

Buluu nodded to Kali's statement and thought back on his near death experiences. He counted up the memories and was rather suprised by just how many times he had knocked on death's door, left a flaming bag of poop, and ran. He really needed to stop doing that. Someday he just knew death was gonna kick the flaming bag on top of his head while he was running and pull him in while he screamed in agony.
"Near death experiences are scary. They make my heart race and my life seems to flash before my eyes." He told Kali then a question came to him and without wondering if it might anger her he asked. "Does not being able to die ever get boring to you?"

Flicking her ears up at his question, Kali's eyes drifted off a bit, trying to think about it. "It...I like to think of it more as having all the time in the world." Deciding that that was the best answer, she returned her gaze to him, nodding. She did wonder that if she had a shorter time to live, like all the mortals, that if she'd spend her time differently.
"But I try not to let my time surrender to boredom." Grinning, she was a rather whimsical creature, always doing just what she pleased whenever she pleased. "Though I guess some gods aren't as diligent as myself." She knew that some others like herself found their immortality to draw out a bit.
