Sitting on the sofa she flipped through her book recapping the few pages back just so she would remember what had happen so far. She hadn't really left her room since she started reading 'Elder'. It was the boombox that suggested that she needed to get out of her room.
Surprisely she agree she needed to so she gathered her items that she wanted with her. The book of course, a bag of chips, as well as water. It took her awhile but when she found this place and saw no one was here she decide it was the perfect stop for some peace.
Digging her hand into the bag of chips she popped some into her mouth as she turned the page.

It felt weird wandering off without Abby with him but Laudanum made no fuss when he had woken to find her not there. He instead decided to take his tentative exploration a little further. Perhaps meet some people.
God the thought frightened him.
He had barely left his room unless Absinthe had dragged him and even then he had done so reluctantly. And still, he never left without his guitar. He had been getting slightly better at strumming the chords...But that was because he practiced all day and drove everyone apeshit.
Stepping through to the hang out, Laudanum clutched his guitar...and froze. He had been hoping nobody was there.
But she seemed busy. Maybe he wouldn't be noticed! He made his way to another sofa and sat himself down, trying to be as inconspicuous as possible.

Rubbing at her eyes she shook her head, she had been reading so much it started bugging her eyes. Pulling off her black baseball cap she pushes her hair from her face before toss the cap on the other side of the couch. Placing her bookmark in place for a moment she sets the book down on the coffee table as she turn to grab her bottle water.
Looking up she arches a brow seeing the boy on the other couch. Okay so he came out of no where that was never a good thing. Looking him over for a moment she like the fact he wasn't wearing anything bright, he actually look pretty cool in her eyes.
Taking a sip of her water she gave him a small nod "Hey wassup? I'm Mackenzie, or Mack for short. How did ya manage to get in here without me knowin?" it seem the boombow work had been paying off. Even though some of the words were still broken she was close to speaking proper as she would get.

Sitting by the pool Sorya watches the water as she moves her feet through it. Just waking up not to long ago she was ready to go look around and hopefully come across her older sister. She was planning on doing this until she saw the pool.
Deciding she would locate her sister later this was where she ended up, humming to herself as she lean back with her eyes closed. Her hair hanging loose down her back as her tail move across the ground slowly.

Boaz stepped into the Local, a towel wrapped rather pointlessly around his waist; the bull found it pointless to wear clothing over his armored lower half. Plus, clothing slowed him down; he never could understand why others were so fond of it.
As he approached the pool, he gave the construct a pleasant look of greeting. Growing closer, Bo could see the ever larger female outline. She seemed young, for she lacked the curves of womanhood, but still the monster rosin felt trepidation. He didn't know anything about other rosins in general, much less girls. With a deep breath and dogged determination, he grew close to the water, his hooves thumping against the pavement.

Sorya eyes drifted open as she looks for the person making the noise, tilting her head she watches the boy for a moment before she smiles. Lifting her hand she gives a small wave before sitting up fully "Hello, I didn't know anyone else came to this place. I'm Sorya.." she gazed at him for a moment smiling.
He was a biy, cute at that, but she had other plans other then checking out boys right now. Although it never hurt to look, least that what she thinks.

"Umm, hi," he responded to the girl. "I like to swim, since I'm so much lighter in water. Though, afterwards I have to oil myself down so I don't rust..." Oh no! He had already said something embarassing. The gorgon bit his lip nervously, before once again training his dark eyes on Sorya's face. "Sorry, my name is Boaz. It's nice to meet you."
He stepped up to one of the lounge chairs and fumbled with his towel, his tail swishing a little underneath. Socialization wasn't coming easy for the bull, who was so used to being cumbersome and clumsy that he hated making a bad impression; being laughed at wasn't too fun. Finally he dropped the towel and tossed it onto the chair, stupid clothing.
Turning back to the girl with the strange tail - he wasn't sure what sort it was and made a mental note to check in the library - he gave her a friendly smile. "Are you swimming too?"

Sorya looks at the water before back at him shaking her head "No I can't swim." looking back at him she chuckles "Don't let that stop you though Boaz." leaning forward she pushes her hand through the water throwing some of the water at him as she giggles.
He wasn't bad, slightly shy, but that was a good thing in her eyes. It meant he would be fun to talk to once he loosen up. Leaning back again she relaxes before adjusting her one piece swimsuit alittle.

The boy sat down beside her and pushed himself into the water slowly enough not to splash. "You can't swim?" he asked as he propped his arms on the side of the pool. "You should definitely learn. It's really fun, the feeling of being weightless and heavy at the same time." He was babbling, and it made him blush as he quickly stopped talking, instead concentrating on the crevaces in the cement with reddened cheeks.

Sorya didn't seem to mind that he was babbling, looking at the water she nods "I should..." pausing she carefully slips into the water the way he did only she held onto the side. Looking at him she chuckles alittle "You blush alot, not that its a bad thing." crossing her arms she lays her head on top of them as she tries to not think about drowning.
So being in the pool wasn't so bad, it was like being in the tub, only deeper. Closing her eyes she bites her bottom lip as she kick her feet alittle to stay up.

"I'm not really used to talking to people," the bull admitted. He was glad however to see her trying out the pool. "You look like a natural in the water. Just don't be afraid of it. Let the water know who's boss!" He pushed out from the side a little and dipped his head back, wetting his hair. "The best part is that the water isn't freezing today."

Watching him push away from the wall she bites her bottom lip before shaking her head. She wasn't ready for that "How do you manage to stay floating? I'm scared I'm going to slip under the water." turning carefully she kicks her feet as she holds onto the side.
She had a feeling she wouldn't slip under the water, but at the same time it was just somethign she wasn't willing to risk. She just enjoy the water from right here, at least if she wanted out of the water all she would have to do it pull herself out of it.

"Keep your legs swishing in the water. Your arms and tail, too. All three of those will help you keep your head above the water." Boaz watched Sorya hesitate, and understandably so; water could be scary and dangerous for the inexperienced. "And if you start getting tired just move over to the side and grab on. Don't worry; I won't let you drown." He didn't mention the lifeguard construct, since that was a given.

Sorya understood what he said, but wasn't to sure if she could actually do it. Taking a deep breath she pushes off the wall just enough so she was away from it but able to grab it if needed. Kicking her feet while moving her hands she opens her eyes slowly then laughs "I'm not under the water!!" looks around herself she was squeeling alittle.
