On saturday I went to Solo and Ensemble for choir, and I sang a class one song called "Mandolin" by Gabriel Faure' (It was pretty hard but it was in french so yay). I got a one 3nodding on it and I'm going to state compitition in a few weeks.
Well I wan't to know if any of my fellow Phantom lovers go to state compititons for band, choir, or drama.
(I'm in choir and drama)

heart Wicked bump heart
(spoken) Elphie - now that we're friends, I've decided to make you my new project.
ELPHABA (spoken) You really don't have to do that
GALINDA (spoken) I know. That's what makes me so nice! (sung) Whenever I see someone Less fortunate than I (And let's face it - who isn't Less fortunate than I?) My tender heart Tends to start to bleed And when someone needs a makeover I simply have to take over I know I know exactly what they need And even in your case Tho' it's the toughest case I've yet to face Don't worry - I'm determined to succeed Follow my lead And yes, indeed You will be:
Popular! You're gonna be popular! I'll teach you the proper ploys When you talk to boys Little ways to flirt and flounce I'll show you what shoes to wear How to fix your hair Everything that really counts
To be popular I'll help you be popular! You'll hang with the right cohorts You'll be good at sports Know the slang you've got to know So let's start 'Cause you've got an awfully long way to go:
Don't be offended by my frank analysis Think of it as personality dialysis Now that I've chosen to be come a pal, a Sister and adviser There's nobody wiser Not when it comes to popular - I know about popular And with an assist from me To be who you'll bee Instead of dreary who-you-were: are: There's nothing that can stop you From becoming popu- Ler: lar:
La la la la We're gonna make You popular
When I see depressing creatures With unprepossessing features I remind them on their own behalf To think of Celebrated heads of state or Specially great communicators Did they have brains or knowledge? Don't make me laugh!
They were popular! Please - It's all about popular! It's not about aptitude It's the way you're viewed So it's very shrewd to be Very very popular Like me!
(spoken) Why, Miss Elphaba, look at you. You're beautiful.
ELPHABA(spoken) I - I have to go:
GALINDA (spoken) You're welcome! (sung) And though you protest Your disinterest I know clandestinely You're gonna grin and bear it Your new found popularity La la la la You'll be popular - Just not as quite as popular As me!
Midina: God I love that song...

Oooooooo Operatic society? One of my science teachers used to do opera, he says that he had to eat alot to stay healthy becuase while you do Opera it burns alot of calories. Is it like that with you?

Choir, Band, music in general thats all i do at school. the joys of studying what you love to do in university! its an amazing experience! all i do is sing in choirs and solo, doing jazz, classical, musical theater. i also take part in a wind ensembler (band basically) and we play some wonderful stuff as well as a Jazz ensember which is basically a big bang super fun! the choir is singing with the symphony in two weeks too which is really really exciting!

We have a chorus, an orchastra, a band, a drama club (the play cast people.), a chamber orchastra, wind ensemble, strolling strings, etc, etc, etc. XD; I'm in the normal orchastra, and in chorus. And in the drama club. D: We're playing Don Quiote (spelling?) in orchastra. I heard her say, "Don" and I REALLY hoped "Juan Triumphant" would follow, but... XD; sadly, no. I'm 2nd violin, 4th chair. XD Which I hope to seriously improve. D: I HATE playing melody parts. And I begged Crone to let us do PotO (chorus), and he said he'd THINK about it. D: Bah. And... we're doing Bye Bye Birdie for the drama club. D: I'm a rabid fangirl. With no name. XD; *is not especially talented* Hey, there's always hope, right? XD; Christine was a simple chorus girl, too...
Yeah, we also have the all-county and all-state stuff, but I think everyone does, right? >_O And I'm doing a NYSSMA solo for my violin... D: I'd be terrified to do a choral one... XD; Maybe next year I'll do both, right?
