It had been a couple of days of readjusting, gathering a little bit of strength back and actually venturing out into classes. It seemed Mitsu's mood wasn't terrible but at times she seemed frustrated, her memories of prior events still lacking. At times she showed promise, uttering a small detail that had yet to be mentioned but they were small pieces in a very large puzzle that made up who she was.
At current she was sitting in her room with her posted body guard. At least that's what Shun seemed to be since he was always around. He seemed tired though, worn down since he hardly seemed to rest.
"Do...you want to take a nap...or something?" Mitsu asked looking up from the notebook she was currently looking over. Passed notes from other classes she had attended.

Shun was indeed worn down and tired. Rarely did he sleep now. The times that he tried, he was soon awoken with various nightmares. Ones that were not within his control, which in a way, were made worse due to the fact that he was often lucid in his dreams now. He didn't want to sleep. Aside from the dreams, a part of him feared that something would happen to Mitsu while he rested. She was still weak, recovering slowly physically. Getting into a fight for her now would be bad.
And so he often spent his time while the lycan slept training. He found out that she tended to be an incredibly heavy sleeper now, so he didn't have to worry about making too much noise. He had to stay vigilant. He had to get stronger. He had to keep her safe.
Aside from that, he was still distressed over her condition. He was frustrated along with her, and the times she uttered some random detail regarding her past he had hope... but it was fleeting. She truly was in there. He knew it. The Reaper just.. needed to be patient. It didn't really stop the current void he had from hurting, however.
While Mitsu was looking over some notes, he was shadow boxing in a way. But his movements were sluggish. A lack of both sleep and food when his body was used to having these things were taking a toll on him.
"No. I wouldn't be able to sleep," he said quietly.

Hel had, surprisingly to those who knew her, flown under the radar since the return. She had just spent time quietly, in her room, making new spools from fox fire fur and starting to weave on her loom. Quiet, thoughtful. After some time had passed though, Hel couldn’t stay away any longer. She had someone she needed to check on, but first…
But first she had a promise she needed to pull through on. One stop at the mini-pet store, and the wingless valkyrie appeared in the monster dorms toting a rather stuffed messenger bag as she moved down the twist of halls until she stopped at one door in particular.
Hel shifted, her brows furrowing, and she rapped her knuckles loudly on the door. “…Ah…hallo?”

"Well...you can't if you keep doing that," Mitsu pointed out. "It would require you to lay down and...close your eyes." Ah, logic. It never failed. But she said it so plainly like it might not have been an obvious thing.
Patting the bed next to her she tried to get him to come over. "Just lay down for a while. You're tired." And his restlessness looked like it was making her uneasy. "Like this." She pantomimed laying her head down using her hands to simulate a pillow before she closed her eyes.
Before she could really coax him over she heard a knock at her door. Looking up Mitsu set her notebook aside and scooted her way to the edge of the bed. Her movements were still rather slow as she eased her feet to the floor and stood, unsteady footsteps taking her to the door to answer it.
"Coming!" At least she would eventually get there.
When she finally arrived she opened the door to a face she had seen but did not have a name to match with. Her expression almost looked awkward at first before she tried to smile. "Hello...you." Good cover.

Shun's expression softened a bit. That was a little reminiscent of what Mitsu would have said before. He watched her for a moment as she tried to coax him, but shook his head.
"Even if I laid down and tried I wouldn't be able to sleep... Not for long at least," he said quietly. The Reaper suddenly tensed as he heard a knocking at the door. He was ready to summon his daggers and deal with a potential threat, but heard Hel's voice on the otherside, allowing him to relax.
"That's Hel," he offered the lycan before moving towards the door himself.
"You look well," he greeted the Valkyrie. The same probably couldn't be said for himself.

The ghoul shifted back and forth on her feet, listening to the shuffling behind the door until she was finally greeted by the sight of Mitsu. Relief lit up Hel’s face to actually see the Lycan in her room, and not in a Hunter net, but the way Mitsu seemed to regard her, had her expression faltering and then dropping.
“…Ya…me…” She replied, confused, and cast said confused look at Shun, as if he would answer all of existence’s problems, because he usually did for her. “…Uh…I suppose I do…but I can not say the same for you, friend…” Her brows furrowed and she looked back at the Lycan, still clearly puzzled and troubled. “…How are you fairing, melbolle?”

Mitsu smile remained in place though after a while it looked more nervous than anything. At least Shun supplied her with a name which she used immediately after. "Hel, its good to see you."
She moved aside to let the ghoul enter the room, confusion clouding her face again at the name Hel used when talking in her direction. For a second she turned to look behind herself to make sure there was no one there only to realize Hel was referring to her. "Oh..umm..I'm getting better." It was subjective really.
Turning toward Shun Mitsu's expression was clear. It read 'help.'

Shrugging at the comment, Shun leaned lightly against the wall by the door while he looked at the two.
"Come on in," he offered the Valkyrie. Letting out a breath, he noticed the looks both girls gave him, then frowned lightly.
"You'll have to forgive Mitsu for anything odd she does... She doesn't remember anything. She's been.. regaining her strength in the least," he murmured quietly. This may explain why the Reaper looked as worn as he did. Or at least help give the reason for it.
"You can relax Mitsu.. she won't hurt you."
The look he gave the Valkyrie suggested that if she tried she may have a dagger to her face.

Just…the whole way Mitsu regarded her was…awkward, even after she used her name. It threw the reaper off. She was looking back and forth between Shun and Mitsu now, still standing in the open doorway as Shun finally explained what was up, and Hel’s face fell further. She…didn’t remember anything? The hunters had done something to her…to make her forget all that had happened? Hel’s mouth hung open a bit as she stared at the Lycan now, just lost. The feeling didn’t last that long though. She didn’t need to be feeling pity; it was the last thing any one of them needed.
After a moment Hel shook her head and then shot Shun a look that said <******** you when he gave her that dagger to the face look. She then mustered a sincere wide smile and turned back to Mitsu. “Ah, no matter. Whatever memories you do or do not have, it does not change that you are my dear friend…we will just have to make new ones, ya!? That being said, Mitsu…” Hel then thrust her hand onto her bag and pulled out a large, blue rubber ball with a white strip on it and held it out for the ghoul. “I made a promise to you, a long time ago, that we would play ball!” She then squeezed it vigorously, the ball emitting the tell tale squeaky noise.

As Shun explained Mitsu's expression shifted to a more apologetic smile but it didn't seem like the girl was completely put off. "I like the sound of that." Mitsu admitted, regarding Hel as she reached toward her bag. When she produced a large squeaky ball Mitsu's eyes were wide for a moment, that smile awkward again before she looked to Shun in a questioning manner.
When she turned back to Hel, she brought a hand to cover her mouth, staring at the ball like she wasn't sure what to say. "Play...ball?" Her hidden smile grew, her lips pressed firmly together like she was trying to contain something.

Though he didn't care at the look of '******** you', Shun did frown lightly when Hel spoke some more. No. In his opinion, it wasn't just enough to simply make new memories.
"We're working on trying to restore what she's forgotten," he said quietly. However, he gave the Valkyrie a rather flat look when she brought up playing ball. Really? Really?
Well... at least Mitsu seemed to still be excited by that idea. The girl could use something happy really. While he was able to provide comfort, it was hard for him to make her really happy when he wasn't. Not to mention his general nature. Letting out a sigh, he stepped back towards the couch.
"Go on. Have fun. Just take it easy," he murmured. Though, he was going to be watching carefully.

“Well…ya know, Shun…” Hel started, throwing the ball up into the air and then catching it, repeating this motion. “…Trying to work on restoring is a good thing…but existence is still marching forward…we all got to roll with it, ya?” She swiped the ball out of the air and squeezed it repeatedly again, letting the squeaks echo. She gave a bit of a sheepish look at Shun when he looked at her flatly.
“You look like you could use a nap…so…go rest, okay? Mitsu is in good hands, I promise.” She winked at the lycan, who seemed to be trying to hide a smile. “Ya! Play ball! I can throw it and you can catch it and throw it back or bring it back to me and I will throw it again!” Maybe she wanted to play in her natural form. Hel squeaked the ball repeatedly again. “We should go do this outside, though.”

Shun was telling her to have fun though he looked rather down. "Maybe you can rest for now? Or try to."
Turning back to Hel she watched the Valkyrie toss the ball a few times before squeaking it again her ears swiveling forward. "I will...try. I'm not very fast right now." While she had regained a bit of strength and could move around without fear of toppling over she wasn't the fastest person out there. Safe to say a zombie with no legs might have been faster.
"O..outside?" Slowly she nodded looking to Shun again. "Do you want to come with us or stay? The fresh air might help you relax." At that she nodded almost sagely.

Rest? No. He would not be resting. Though, Shun paused as Hel mentioned them going outside. At that, he moved away from the couch and returned towards the two girls.
"I'm coming with. But despite how much you insist, I won't be resting or napping or whatever," he muttered under his breath. Grabbing his coat, he threw it on before putting his hands into his pockets. They were going to play, but he needed to still be vigilant.
Constant. Vigilance.
"Let's go then."

“Oh, pfft…that is alright, friend.” Hel assured Mitsu when the lycan said she wasn’t going to run fast.
The ghoul did look a bit exasperated when Shun insisted on coming though. She could look after Mitsu…but also she firmly believed that Shun needed to chill out and rest. The reaper tossed the ball into the air again as she moved out of the door way and into the hall. “Try finding a nice shady spot and napping, Shun.” The ghoul replied. “Meditate.” She then started to make her way down the hall once the others were ready to go, and once outside, started veering off to the nearest open grassy space with trees nearby.
