We bought simple teeny training bras last year. I noticed last week the kid had quadraboob. She's 11 for god's sake. ELEVEN!
I had to measure her, but all I could find was the hubz's carpentry tape measure so I didn't believe it when I measured her and went to the store to hunt for bras. I couldn't find any in that size and did the worst thing ever and went up a band size to get some that fit. I told her never to do this when she's older, but right now she's young enough to get away with it. But seriously people no bras in her size.
So we went to the city today to go school clothes shopping and I took her into the Playtex/Bali outlet. Asked for her measuring tape b/c she wouldn't let them touch her and went into the fitting room. Kid measured a 30B. This size is non existent basically. She's a tiny little thing and is going to end up like her mother buying specialty bras. They had 2 in the entire store that fit. Who spends 20 bucks on a bra for a preteen? Those are supposed to be 5 bucks max!
I am the idiot stuck spending 20 bucks on a bra for a preteen because I'm the fool that insists she wears a properly fitting bra. And then I need to go defend said purchase to the husband who allotted 200 dollars for school clothes for all three kids combined. I finally was like "LOOK WHEN YOU HAVE BREASTS YOU CAN MAKE THESE DECISIONS! JUST BE GLAD WE ONLY HAVE ONE GIRL!"
And so we went over budget for clothes, because my kid has odd sized boobs. High school is going to be fun. Ugh.

$20 for a bra isn't too bad. Just because she is 11 doesn't mean the money doesn't need to be spend. I've never actually seen a bra for less than $20. My own bras are typically $40+

Oh we spent it. But you are not a preteen. I'd expect your bras to cost money.
And where the heck do you shop? I go to outlets so the 40 dollar bras are cheaper.

Again creeps, you are all NOT 11. I doubt your first bras costed that much. I think I'm more ugh-ing over the fact that my kid has B cup boobs already.

Well $20 for a bra you're probably going to grow out of is a little expensive.
But I've been wearing proper bras since I was like 10 so I'm kind of used to it. Also I was super small sizes for ages and it's such a pain. Trying to find anything band 30 above an A cup was a nightmare (I was 30B between the age of like 12 - 15). I mean 11 isn't really that early for puberty to hit, it hit me much earlier than that.

I am freaking out because she is my baby and would kill me if I put this on face book but she doesn't know you guys exist so it's safe.
And no, no, no. My baby can not be this grown up yet. LALALALALALALALA.
Well, she does have a few cheaper ones that aren't proper fit in the band size, but again, she's still young enough to get away with it. But, why there's nothing not an underwire in that size is beyond me.
We did find one on super sale (I think it was a matching panty set, but the panty was missing) that fit well. Little girl sizes are weird. It was labled size 7/8. Like little girls 7/8. And I found myself wondering just how many 7 and 8 year olds had boobs that big. Oh well, it was 2 bucks. I wasn't complaining. It fit.

I remember when I was 11/12 I was one of the first girls to get boobs, and then everyone surpassed me and I remained itty bitty ;_;
I remember feeling kinda excited/grown up when my mom got me my first bra. Pretty sure it was just from like, Walmart.
I'm still like a large A/small B that I can fit into the preteen stuff anyways lolool

The underwires or boning at the sides always pop out of VS bras before 6 months for me. But Chino that was wonderfully awesome and .... as for them carrying 30B.... no I think she's way too young for VS bras. They glorify sexuality. Which isn't bad...for a woman. But I think she's got to grow up a wee bit more before we take a trip there.
The Bali/Playtex store made the kid kiddy enough. She would twitch if I brought her to VS.

Have you seen the Pink bras? They look exactly like what you'd get at Target. They have wireless, t-shirt and completely push-up less bras. It's not an all-day-sexy-for-my-man parade unless you go into the more grown-up section. If you catch a sale, it'd actually a pretty darn good deal. And she is definitely gonna grow out of them anyway, so the fact that they're kind of crappy is pretty moot. If they actually carry your size, it's not the end of the world to buy a crappy bra. Not that I can shop for bras there. D:
