The day was hot, hotter than Hezo'nan had ever wanted it to be. She was flopped out on top of a rock under a tree. Though, the tree wasn't very much relief from the heat. Everyone once in a while, a nice breeze would hit, and it'd feel nice. She sighed. She wanted to run, she wanted to move, she wanted to do something but sit here and sweat. Of course, it seemed too hot to do anything. She almost longed for the day to be over. It just went on and on, and didn't seem like it'd ever stop being day.
Her tail flicked about annoyingly, she sat up. Ears flat to her head, and mouth open, panting lightly. Her purple eyes scanning across the way in front of her. If only there had been a freak rain storm. She loved running in the rain, though it didn't seem to happen often here.

Buluu was being cooked alive. Well maybe he was exagerating just a little bit but it sure seemed like he was being cooked by the hot rays of the sun. His head and neck felt the hottest with the dark mane he had making a menace of itself on top of his head. He had been out under the sun's intense glare since the sun had rose on the horizon. He was so ready to get out from under it.
He was searching hard for shade of any kind. The lack of shade was what he hated most about the plains. Why did there have to be so few trees? Finally off to his right he spotted a nice shady tree and oh was he happy to see it. He was far too eager for shade to walk to the tree though. He took off toward the tree in a run so ready to lay down in shade and rest for a little while.

Something white and blue caught the corner of Hezo'nan's eyes. She turned her head in his direction and just watched. She made no other real movement. She didn't want to just frighten him away, no, she hadn't seen another cheetah in quite sometime. She supposed she had traveled in the wrong direction.
When he got closer, she decided to speak. "Catch a breath, tiger." She told him as she crossed her paws on the rock. Her tail thumped against the rock now, lightly to where you could barely hear it. Her ears popped up and she looked at him with intensity. He didn't seem like he was gonna hurt her, and it looked like he was in no mood to do anything than just lay down.
She knew that feeling all too well. Though she'd been in this spot all day. She'd been waiting for the sun to go down so she could continue her travels. Her guess, was that today was one of the longer days in this time. How she missed the shorter days. She wondered how long it'd take before it was like that again.

Buluu had not paid attention at all to what was occupying the rock that was sitting under the same tree he was running for. When the female spoke to him he slowed himself down and stopped just in front of the rock the female was laying on.
For a moment he simply gazed up at her taking in her elegance and beauty. However the burst of energy he had put out to get to the tree had been all he had left. Too tired to stand up anymore he laid down right where he was. He was so hot now that he couldn't even maintain his composure and he started to pant. He hated panting in front of a lady it was such a vulgar act even if it did help him stay cool.
"Good afternoon Gorgeous." He replied in between pants because even when he's hot and tired he could not resist flirting with a pretty lady.

Surprised from his comment, she stared at him a bit. As hot as he was, and tired as he so plainly was, he still had enough energy to hit on her? She gave a small giggle at him. She couldn't help it, it was almost too funny. For a moment she had forgotten it was really warm. "Perhaps you should rest before trying to be a flirt." She said. She was object to it, honestly, she loved hearing how beautiful she was.
Not that she was completely vane, she just liked getting compliments from complete strangers, if she had known him and he said something, she'd probably get sorta grumpy about it and tell him that she wasn't pretty at all. "Not from around here, I take it?" either was she, but she could pretend she was. Until of course, he asked her things she wouldn't be able to tell him. She just hopped it didn't come to that. She didn't' want to seem like a fake cheetah, but she didn't want to seem like she didn't live here either.

Buluu had his head resting in the dirt. He was so tired he didn't even want to attempt to hold his head up but when he heard her giggle he turned his head up so her could see at least in the direction she was. "Nah. All that needs rest is my legs. I can still give out compliments when I see something that needs complimenting and your beauty definitely needs many compliments." He stated. He was the biggest flirt around and that would never trully change. Every pretty lady near him would know she was pretty.
"Ah you are very observant my lovely." He replied to her question. "I'm not really from around anywhere. Never had a certain place to call home." Talking of home only reminded him that his mother had made sure they never stayed in one place for too long. He carried on that upbrining but he really did not favor such a life. He was beginning to yearn for a place to call home he just wasn't sure where that would end up being.

She giggled more. He looked like he needed more than just to rest his legs, but she didn't say that. She didn't want to wound his pride more than it was already being wounded. "Do you tell all the ladies this, sir?" She asked him. She kinda figured he did, but he really wanted to see what he'd answer with. It was kinda a trick question, really. Depending on how he answered, and how much truth she believed would be if she flirted back with him. All fun and games, right?
So he was like her, it was sad to think about, but she knew exactly how it was. Though, he might have a different feel about it. She wanted someone to travel with and share things when she finds them. Of course, she was still young and it'd come eventually. She needed a friend, but perhaps another day. She giggled again at him. "You shouldn't try to make yourself exhausted when traveling then."

Buluu knew that her question was one that could turn good or go bad. It all depended on his answer and after flirting with many ladies before he knew the best answer he could give would be a truthful one. "I do tell all the ladies they are beautiful. I can't help myself. I have yet to see a lady that is not beautiful." He replied with an answer that was from his heart. Buluu may have been a professional flirt but when he told a lady she was beautiful he always meant it. He wasn't just spouting nonsense to get a girls affection. He wasn't one of those kind of guys.
Her statement of tiring himself was a bit of a suprise for him. Not often was his well being comment on. "Ah it's no worries, lovely. I'm trully not as exhausted as you think. I do appreciate your concern. It warms my heart." He stated with a sweet smile up at her. "So we've spoke of me. Now I must ask where is the place you call home? Anywhere nearby or perhaps farther out in the distance?"

She nodded her head slow as she eyed him for a moment. Perhaps he was telling the truth on the fact that he thought every lady was pretty, though there were some that he had to think weren't that pretty. She didn't want to press it though, curiosity always made things worse... On her part mostly. She gave him a sweet smile, "Well, you sure know how to make a girl swoon" She said. She unfolded her front paws, and stood up on the rock and hopped down near him.
"If someone didn't have concern about you, then who would?" He didn't seem too concerned about himself, but more about telling her that she's damn fine. Though, not exactly in those words perhaps. Maybe she was being a bit vane in that part.
She hesitated for a moment at his question. "I.... don't have anywhere I call home." She could have said everywhere was her home, but that'd just seem a little silly. Or maybe it'd sound mysterious.... She pondered it a moment. "Or you could say that I live everywhere and everywhere." She gave him a grin.

Buluu grinned at her comment. He always loved making the ladies feel special. Seeing a lady pleased or swooning over his compliments just made his day.
"Hmm... I guess you might have a point there. My own well being isn't something that always comes to mind unless I'm looking for a meal. Then it's all about me." He chuckled a bit as he spoke. He really didn't care too much about himself until he was hungry. Any other time he was out there looking for someone else he could help or pester depending on if they wanted his company or not.
Buluu grinned back at her. He was amused by her answer and impressed too. Her answer to him really meant she knew how to handle her own even when on the move, she was flexible and able to adapt. To him that was an impressive feat. "It sure seems you know what your doing even on your own. An adaptable girl, I like that."

"Don't you feel weird not thinking about yourself?" She asked him. She knew she came first in everything she did. But that was because all she had was herself, and she never tried to impress anyone really. " I mean, I always think about myself first." Perhaps that sounded a little selfish, or greedy, or whatever... but it was the truth.
She hadn't thought of that, being flexible or even anyone liking it. She had met a cheetah once who had complained to her about her seeing so many places, but she didn't remember who it was. That was the worse part about not staying in one spot for long, you didn't really know anyone, so no matter what you were on your own. She let a small smile cross her face as she pawed at the ground. "Well, you'd be the first on that one." She tried to be honest to everyone about certain things, sometimes she'd tell a little lie, but it didn't hurt anything if she wasn't going to stick around."I try my best at keeping myself a live." She said with a wiggle of her nose.
"By the way, I'm Hezo'nan"

Buluu pondered on her question for a moment and then shrugged his shoulders. "I've never felt wierd thinking of others before myself. I presume it's because I've done it since I was young. My mother had always had to keep track of me very closely because if I spotted someone who needed help of some kind I would go to them and forget I was supposed to be sticking to her side for protection. She was usually mad at me by the time she found me." Buluu chuckled as he remembered his mother. He so missed her. She had been the first individula he had irritated and half the time he had done it unintentionally.
Buluu smiled at her answer to his question. "I think it's wonderful when a lady can trully stand on her own feet and take care of herself. Though I still can't resist offering her my assistance should she need any." He stated with a wink to her. He never missed a chance to flirt with that lady too but he kept that information to himself.
"Ah it's a pleasure to meet you Hezo'nan. My name is Buluu Mawingu."

Hezo'nan didn't even remember her family. She had forgotten if she had siblings or not. It was a sad thing, but maybe for the best. That way she didn't have to worry if they were safe or not. Had she really been alone for that long that she couldn't even picture them anymore? She didn't say that though, she gave the other a half smile. She didn't want him to see her sad. She didn't want to have to tell him what she had forgotten.
"I think, right now sir, you're the one that needs the assistance." She giggled. She poked him with her paw, and walked around him some more. "Can you even stand up?" she asked him. He looked like he needed a cold drink. She didn't think there was a good place around here for that. She hadn't seen any for a while.
"And the pleasure is all mine, Buluu."

Hezo'nan's half smile to his story of his mom disturbed Buluu just a bit. She looked like she could be hurting for some reason but she didn't say anything at all to him about it. He got the subtle feeling she didn't want to share when she changed the subject and he'd learned a long time ago not to push his help on others he had just met. Those times had never ended very well but how he so wanted to help her feel better.
Buluu's thigh twitched when she poked him and he shuddered after a moment to rid the odd feeling from her touch. "Umm... I'm sure I can." He said not really convinced he could but a bit more sure than if she had tried to make him get up right after he'd arrived. Carefull Buluu began to raise himself up off the ground and onto his paws. His legs were definitely wobbly from the exhaustion but after several shakey moments he was able to stand without feeling like he might fall back down.
"Ah! See, I'm good." He stated to her with a proud nod.

The wave of sadness had passed, and she had forgotten all about what they had just been talking about. Instead, her attention was on him trying to stand up. She giggled a bit before backing up a bit giving him some more room. He looked like a cub that had yet to learn to walk with those wobbly legs.
She couldn't help but try, she reached a paw out, and tried to push him a bit. Just to make sure he could actually stand. She didn't want to make him start walking if he couldn't handle it, after all. "I'm not convinced that you are." She said while attempting to push him over. It was all fun and games, and she hoped he saw it at that too. She was laughing, after all.
