A week or two had passed since the incident that shook the school to its very bones, a select few feeling the effects more than others. One of such being his target for the day, a ghoul whom had somehow wormed her way deep into his heart. She was someone the kitsune considered under his protection. She was someone he treasured, someone that he cared about and was a good part of the reason why he joined the raid in the first place.
It was part of the reason why he joined the horsemen, protecting her and others that Remi took under his 'invisible wing'.
All the same though, it meant a new earring orange gem'd at the base of his left ear, and a new attitude on life. Oh he was still the same smartass as always, but add a little bit of drive to his usual lazy self and you have Remi right now. And he, being driven, had a sinking suspicion that a certain ghoul needed a cheer-up visit. He had barely seen her around, so when the knock on her dorms door came it should be little surprise to her who was on the other side. He leaned against her door frame, crossing his arms and tapping a foot on the floor. He did not visit these dorms often, but he had at least found someone whom knew Amritas room number... or he was about to fall victim to a prank.

Amrita really didn't want to answer the door. She'd gone to class that day, what more could anyone expect from her? The ghoul was lying face down on her bed - which was a big deal, she hated her bed with a passion and always slept on the ground - face buried in a pillow that had only started being used since she got back from the Hunter Island.
Where Amrita was set to ignore whomever it was and pretend she wasn't home, DC was too excited to meet someone. The little fire beast started howling, a horrible, rumbling noise that sounded much too big for his massive body. He jumped around the room, jumped on the bed (and Amrita), and scampered back to the door, pawing at it excitedly...all while making the most horribly angry sounding noises one could make. DC was far from angry - he just always sounded like pure hell beast.
Eventually the howling became too much and Amrita, unable to silence the beast by grumbling commands into her pillow, eventually rolled out of bed (literally) and got to her feet to go to the door. Mostly to shoo away whoever it was that wanted to visit.
"Hello?" She asked hesitantly, opening the door just enough to see who might be there. As she had been lately, she looked more Zombie than ever; there cheerful aura about her was gone, replaced by something dreadful and sad. Yet even despite that she was trying to sound like she used to. Trying to pretend that everything was as it should be, for the sake of the person on the other side of the door.

Poor Amrita, because while she might be feeling rather depressed and elusive... Remi on the other hand, or paw in his case sometimes, was feeling quite chipper. The tapping of his foot grew more insistent as time passed, knocking once more until the door finally slid open.
A hand snaked out from the crack she made in the door, only a moment after he realized that this was the right room. Her voice gave that fact away. Pushing the door open enough to where he could peek his head inside, his dual toned eyes flicked down at the ghoul. His ears perked forward, and a all too familiar grin snaked its say across his face. "Oh Amrita, just the ghoul i was looking for."
He then pushed the door open a little more, just to get his shoulder in. "You see i have a sinking suspicion a dear friend of mine might be in need of assistance." A little more push, it was soon evident that honestly even if she tried to keep him out... she couldn't get rid of him. "Think you mind helping with this?"

She didn't get much of a chance to register what was happening. All she knew was that suddenly, the door wasn't in her control anymore. It was taken over by a very chipper Demon, whom was saying things as he muscled his way into her room. At first she tried to fight it, simply putting up a resistance, but in the end she gave up entirely and released the door to instead step back with every step forward he made. Her brain just couldn't keep up with what was happening, and she did the only thing she knew for certain; back up, get away, try to survive.
"Um. I don't...what?" Remi, she knew this was Remi. But what was he saying about a good friend needing help? If that was the case why was he bothering her? Clearly he had other friends who needed help, she was just fi---okay, no she wasn't. Maybe he was talking about her? He was a strange one, kind of pushy in a fun way.
"D-do I...um, know this friend?" She wanted to be happy to see him - and deep down she was, because he was a dear friend to her - but she was too confused right now. Please try again later.

He would make sure to leave a message after the beep.
Maybe.
With one final step forward, and a side step, Remi was now fully in the room. All 6'2" of him in all his blue fluffy glory. "Actually, yes. You know them QUITE well." Almost too well, actually. The last few steps forward brought him right next to the ghoul, where he looked down at her.
"Your really, really close actually."
And without warning, he picked the ghoul up, slung her over his shoulder, and walked outside of her dorm. Making sure to close the door behind him with a click.

Amrita actually leaned back a little as he loomed in front of her, suddenly understanding that yes, yes he was talking about her, which meant---
"AH, REMI!" The ghoul cried out, flailing to try to get away, and when that failed she flailed to try and hold onto him to make her feel more secure. He had grabbed her as easily as someone might hoist a sack of potatoes, which she wasn't sure if she liked or not. It was never good to be so easily manhandled, but at the same time considering her predicament...maybe it was a good thing, too?
"WH-WHAT ARE YOU DOING PUT ME DOWN!" Followed by a long, very drawn out whine of REEEMMIIIIIII~

Her reactions did nothing but continue the grin that was already plastered to his face. In fact it just re assured him of one thing, the hunters had not totally broken her.
That was cause for celebration enough.
Her reaction was one of the major factors that would decide in the end if he put her down immediately, or if he continued this awkward dance. For the ghoul though, it just meant her being shoved over his shoulder... and a light tap on her butt. "You should know by now, Amrita, that i can be bull headed." This time he had come for her, and no amount of screaming would make him give up his prize. Kicking maybe would do the trick.
Still though he tipped a hat at some random passers by, and exited her dorm and started to make his way further away from the school grounds. Just where the hell was he taking them?

"...Hey!" Amrita gasped out, managing to keep her torso up long enough to smack the back of his head for that little tap; she knew what that was, Remi. She was catching on. When it became more than clear that struggling was getting her nowhere, she went completely limp. In fact, she tried to make herself as heavy as possible for him. He couldn't do this to her easily! It was a nice distraction though, a little bit of crazy to remind her that life went on and no amount of moping would ever change that.
Damn you Remi, teaching her lessons.
"Where are we going?" She asked his back quite literally, her arms dangling down and swaying lifelessly.

He totally deserved that blow to the head. It caused a fox-like yip of pain in return, but the boil was totally expecting a response. His treatment towards the ghoul was playful, but then again he was a fox so he viewed the whole world as his toy. Then she went limp... and started to feel heavier? "...How is it when you try and feel heavier, you are?" Damn girl was packing some dead weight in that tiny frame of hers. It reminded him of when Jacks cats paid a visit, and they refused to move from his bed and only seemed to get heavier as he tried to get them to move.
He somehow managed to not drop her, but not it was like he was weight lifting and not jsut carrying a ghoul around for fun. He would not mention that though, he did not want to indicate a ghoul as 'fat'. He liked his head without another dent in it plz.
"Away. I think you need some time away from that dorm, away from the school." He continued to walk in silence for a few minutes more, civilization as they knew it disappearing into the distance. He was walking through the forests now, taking a pathway that was almost invisible to the naked eye. Game trail perhaps? Finally though they emerged in a small clearing, where he set her down in the tall grasses. It was a semi clear day in Halloween, but then again day was always night here. There was no sun here, only the moon.
"Okay so." He squatted down next to her, placing his arms on his bent legs. "Talk to me." About what? ...Anything really.

"Magic." Amrita grumbled, still trying very hard to focus on being a complete dead weight. She even considered leaving her body entirely to make it literally a dead weight, but she really didn't want to out herself for what she was. Not even to Remi. It was too much of a risk now, and she couldn't have the Hunters figuring out what she could do.
It's okay Remi, even if Amrita cared about how she looked she'd know she wasn't fat. Her body was built by a perverted teenage boy with a love for measurements and parts.
Luckily for him she stopped being a dead weight once he admitted what he was doing this for. He was literally forcing her out of a place of great stress and - unbeknownst to him - bringing her to a place she loved. Forests were her favourite place; she loved trees, she loved dirt, and she loved how quiet and oddly structured they were. She recognized their path as a game trail and it only served to make her feel a little better; a rarely trodden place to get away from the bustle of school.
When he set her down she stayed down, staring up at the moon through the tall grass. If she could stay here forever...oh, she would in a heart beat.
"Hi, Remi. How are you? Enjoying your day so far?" She replied, on the grounds that he didn't specify what she was supposed to talk about. "I fed my fish this morning."

It was true, Remi had taken a gamble with the exact location of where he took the ghoul. He knew though from his own experiences that the quiet of the forest always calmed him so he thought maybe, just maybe it would for her as well.
His trio of tails flicked idly behind his crouched position, waiting for her to settle in to the suddenly very quiet, very student-less populations of halloween. He had asked a pretty vague question though, hoping she would take a hint and talk about it without him needing to be blunt. So in a way, her reply was expected, but he still gave her a look.
"The day is wonderful the air is crisp and clear and i am peachy." Ears swiveled around, amused yet irritated, as his tails stopped moving. "Im glad you fed your fish too, i am sure they well love and appreciate the offerings." ... A pause, he sighed. "Was hoping to avoid being blunt, but it seems you leave me no choice dear friend."
"What happened to make you like this?" Aka: why was she so dead inside.

"Glad to hear it." Amrita drawled, but she sounded sincere; it was always nice to hear that Remi was doing okay, especially since he was one of her dear friends. She could tell he was irritated but to be honest...she really didn't want to talk about it. She'd taked about it already with so many others, and retelling the story just wasn't making it easier to handle. In fact, it was making it worse, because she was then forced to realize how much she was putting at stake to even be here. All the friends she wanted to save...
"Didn't you hear?" She nearly snarked, but kept her voice low. "I was one of the ones who got captured by the Hunters." She really didn't mean to sound short, but she did heavy a sigh and roll onto her side, putting her back to him and bending her arm to use as a pillow.
She really, really didn't want to talk about it.

Sigh, Maybe he really really really did need to be specific with his wording after all. Flopping his rump onto the grasses, he scooted to the side until his body was pressed against the ghouls side. Slinging a arm across her shoulders he squeezed the ghoul into a hug. It was rather awkward actually, more like he was pressing her closer to his side.
"Rita, i was there at the rescue i know you were taken by those bastards." Remi was the one whom opened the dang door after all, he still had the key to that place even. "Im not sure if you saw me but i saw you, and was glad you were safe. My question though, still, is why are you so dead inside? I don't want to know what happened to you, that is YOURS to tell if you want to." He couldn't put a finger on it, but Rita still even after being back... things did not really look up for her? She seemed to only be getting worse.
His question was probably confusing her.
"You seem to be getting worse and not better as you hide in that dorm room of yours." The boil could not imagine what the hell the hunters did to her, but it made his tails bristle up just at the idea of it. "I dont think hiding alone, lost in your own thoughts, will help matters, okay?" He jsut answered the question for her really. He did not want to know what happened, but he had a feeling whatever happened was killing her inside the more the moped and thought about it.
She needed, honest to Jack, fresh air.

At his words, Amrita looked over her shoulder as if noticing him for the first time. He was...at the rescue? She almost squinted at him, for a moment not believing him; she remembered the before and after the rescue, but the rescue itself was a little blurry to her. She had been in and out of consciousness after all! The memory came back to her in bits and pieces, but one thing was for sure; he had been there, and she had seen him.
"R-right...sorry." She murmured, embarrassed now for more than her past choices. "It...it's because of what happened to me." The words came out in a near whimper, and the tone stayed as she continued to speak. "It's the safest place..." Her Dorm kept her from the world; she was too selfish to leave school in light of what happened, but simply being there put everyone else in danger.
"Remi..." She pouted, turning to face him instead, cuddling up against his side. It was something she couldn't help but do; he was soft, and warm, and more importantly welcoming. "I don't know what to do..."

The arm that was already around her flexed and squeezed a little tighter as he listened intently. e made sure to keep his gaze on her, trying to keep his face impartial, and failing, due to the rage he was feeling within. He did not know exactly what happened, but for this ghoul to feel this torn up over it... he could not even imagine.
His fingers stroked her shoulder attempting to comfort as he leaned his head to rest against the top of hers. There was at least some perks to being so tall... "Rita don't apologize okay? Theres nothing you did that you need to be sorry for. " She did nothing wrong in his eyes, it was okay to be scared.
"Safest place for you, or everyone else?" He asked curiously, because there was a major difference in the two. "Because honestly, hiding away in your dorm wont.... it just wont fix anything. Look what its doing to you? You run away like some scared rabbit, you barely even opened the door for me when i knocked." The old Amrita would have had more life in her, currently she seemed like a empty shell...
"Want an honest opinion?" He paused, closing his eyes for the briefest of moments. "Fight Amrita, dont let them get you down like this. I'm not saying forget, this is something no one would be able to erase, I'm saying let this make you stronger."
