Stretching out, Njozi was completely exhausted. She had been up all night, per usual, so it seemed normal that she'd be tired and wanting a nice long nap in the middle of the day. But, why was she even awake right now in the first place? Njozi had almost perfectly shifted her schedule, after taking a leave of absence from her pride, to accommodate her nightly hunting and star-gazing habits. Normally, she'd wake up in the late afternoon - sometimes even at twilight - and then find somewhere to sleep again a few hours after the sun started to come up.
But, just as she was sleeping wonderfully, tucked away in a nice little indent formed by the conjunction of some branches, one of the resident birds decided it'd be a great time to wake up and sound an alarm of sorts. She had ended up tearing off a small branch and tossing it at the fiendish thing, after coming to find out that it was just a water buffalo passing by that had set it off. Even though it was now gone, though, the all-blue cheetah found it nearly impossible to slip back off to sleep. Though, she really didn't want to get up and move, even though she had no camouflage to speak of on her pelt.

With her daughters all grown up (well, almost all grown up) Tsukiko wandered more frequently, and worried less about going too far. She knew even if she took more than a few hours the girls would be fine, and was content with the extra freedom. Why, she had even slept outside in the roguelands tonight!
It was nice, quiet and rather empty, unlike the heard of the pridelands, something she could appreciate somewhat. It let her think, she liked thinking! She was spending a good chunk of her morning wandering around and pondering, the same way she would probably spend her afternoon. She focused on nothing in particular as she walked, and as such didn't notice she was heading towards a lone cheetah.

Rolling her eyes around, Njozi let out a deep and disgruntled sigh. She wasn't normally ill-tempered, but when someone messed with her sleep schedule, that's when she could get a little upset.
Tossing her head back against the branch, she finally decided to roll out of the tree; at least maybe then she could wear herself out again and find a new place to sleep. Stretching her paws out, she used what little strength and motivation she had to roll herself right out of that small crevice in the tree, falling quite quickly to the ground. She landed on her paws, but stumbled a little as she tried to wake herself fully. There, in the grass, she stood for a few moments, eyes frazzled and head swaying back and forth.
It took her a few moments to finally realize that there was a dark figure heading her way; great, just when she gave up her (rather bad) hiding spot, someone actually starts to come towards her. Though, Njozi wasn't the type to be fearful of others; she normally had a sweet disposition, and she'd regain that before the other even came up close to her. Well, it might not be so bad. Maybe it would be good to stay awake a little and talk to someone. Straightening herself, she took in a few deep breaths, widening her eyes a little to try and make sure that she was fully awake, and that she wouldn't slur any of her words when speaking. Taking a few steps, she decided she'd wait for the other to come, but stand directly in their path so they'd have to stop and talk to her. Hopefully, they were nice.

Tsukiko's eyes were focused somewhere off to the north, and after a bit of looking she furrowed her brows. Because of whatever was distracting her she looked like she might actually crash into the blue cheetah, but somehow stopped a few steps to soon. "Elephants." She said, as if coming to a conclusion. Sure enough there was small a group of them, but a safe distance away, and they seemed to be going farther still.
She turned her head and finally focused on the cheetah. Whether or not she was surprised by having found herself within talking distance of one all of the sudden, Tsukiko didn't show. "Hi! How are you?" She greeted, because at this distance it might seem impolite not to. Tsukiko didn't reserve good manners for lions.

Ears back and eyes widened, Njozi bit her bottom lip, not sure if the dark lioness was going to run smack into her or not. She didn't want to move, though, in case the close proximity was intentional, which she decided it must have been, after hearing the other address her.
"Hi there." Giving a wide grin, Njozi was glad that she was friendly. She hadn't run into too many lions since coming out to the rogue lands, and not any on her own. Normally, her snake companion and her half-sister would be with her, but she wanted to do a little exploring while they discussed their next plan of action. Honestly, it was probably for the best, since Njozi wasn't much of a tactical cheetah; she could barely even plan a day's activities.
"I am doing alright, thank you for asking." Nodding her head, it was actually true, for once. She had been in pieces after the trio had decided to leave their dying pride, but now that she was out like this, things felt okay. "My name is Njozi. And how are you, miss...?"

It was nice to see someone friendly out and about, especially another species! So Tsukiko smiled easily back, looking as relaxed as she usually did. She didn't often have the opportunity to chat with different sorts of animals, though she mused over them on occasion.
"My name is Tsukiko, and I'm doing well, thank you! Just going about the day, I guess." She nodded contently. Tsukiko should probably head back to the pridelands sometime today. But she wasn't the sort of lioness to be hasty about anything. "It is very nice to meet you, Njozi."

"Oh...well that's good, I guess." Showing a small grin, Njozi generally liked days like today; kind of lazy days, where there was nothing important to be done. It'd been such a long time since she wasn't expected to do anything at all for the day. Part of her kind of missed it, but she tried not to dwell too much on the past. From now on, there was only looking forward.
"So, are you from this area? Or just passing through?" Tilting her head to the side slightly, Njozi hadn't met a true rogue lion yet. Anyone she'd come across so far was already from someplace, so maybe it was the same for this lioness. Goodness knows that Njozi was desperately trying to cling onto her previous home, but she was probably considered a rogue now.

"It is!" She agreed, even though the cheetah's comment didn't really need such a thing. But Tsukiko was feeling cheerful, what with meeting someone new and all. And she was just a generally cheerful, if a bit strange lioness.
The next comment earned a bit of a shrug. "Sort of. I'm just wandering, and then I'll head back." Hm, that probably did qualify as just passing through, not sort of just passing through. "Alright, I guess I am. How about you? Do you have a pride... or coalition, or clan or anything about?" Because she supposed that sort of thing could vary.
