Setting:   Little Piras was lost and confused he didn't know where to go. He hatched from his bowl to find that he was alone. Though everything around him was warm. The ground and rocks and some red bubbling stuff which he didn't know what it was. He explored his little area but found nothing but a whole with light on the other side. So he crawled threw and found a new place. It was warm but not nearly as warm as where he was born... in fact it was a bit chilly. But maybe his mother was out here. He had to look so down into the crater he went searching for his mother.

 Sweety Belle hummed softly to herself as she flitted about the side of the crater. Volcanic growth was so lovely at this time! And she more than enjoyed the view on such a bright sunny day!
She smiled softly to herself and pranced about the foliage. Another beautiful day in her beautiful life! She nearly even broke out into song, had she the guts to do so... With so many critters roaming about, she was shy to start singing in case someone might hear. So, she continued to hum.
Speaking of nearby critters...
The sound of rustling caught her attention and she turned her bright blue gaze towards it. Curious - and apparently fearless - Sweety Belle turned and stepped quietly towards the rustling. Peeking over a nearby bush, she spotted the baby Numel.
"Oh! Dear me!" she cooed softly, hoping she hadn't startled the young one. "Why are you out here all alone, little one?" she churred soothingly.
While waiting for an answer, she made a few glances about, looking for any sign of a grown-up in a viewable range. She spotted none and frowned faintly. Well... this couldn't be good! No babe should be left unattended!

Little Piras looked up in surprise when he heard something talk. He hadn't expected to find anything just yet. But there over a bush looking down at him was a female who seemed nice enough, maybe she was his mother.
"I don't know why mother. I woke up and couldn't find you. You weren't in that nice warm room that I grew up in. So I came out to find you," He told her not realizing that she really wasn't his mother.
"Should I have stayed inside the room?"

Sweety Belle cooed softly. "Oh you dear, sweet thing..."
She lowered her muzzle to nuzzle him gently. "I'm not your mother, sweety, but I'll do what I can to help you look for her, ok?"
Lifting her head back up, she looked around. There were no other Poke-noodles about and she hadn't seen one in days. She nibbled her lip with some concern and sighed. "Why don't we go back to that cave for a bit and see if you're mother is there looking for you. Ok?" she asked, trying to sound chipper in her worry.

Piras closed his eyes enjoying the nuzzle. But looked shocked when the female said she wasn't his mother. "Your not?" He asked than looked sad and nodded.
"I'm not sure if you will like it but I'll take you back there." he told her before turning around and started trudging up the way he had came. He would glance back every here and there to make sure she hadn't just suddenly left him.

Sweety Belle frowned. She hated seeing the poor child so excited about having found someone then noting how sad he was at the mention of her not being his mother. Her wings gave a sentimental flutter before she nuzzled him with encouragement. "C'mon then."
As they walked, she looked around, hoping to spot something moving or anything that looked of any relation to the young one she followed. Surely his parents weren't far. Surely they were looking for him! ... Right?
She nibbled her lip in uncertainty. How could anyone abandon such a sweet little dear?
Her brow soon stitched together in determination. If no parent could be found, she'd care for the little one. He needed a mother figure and he clearly didn't want to be left alone. She'd have issues leaving him alone anyways. No child should grow up in solitude. This much was for certain.
"How much farther, little one?" she asked with a faint pant to her words. She didn't do this much traveling in one long go like this. She usually fluttered and hovered, rested, fluttered some more, walked a few feet, rested.... Nothing quite as consistent as this.

Piras had a determined look on his face as he walked. He would make sure that he showed the other vixen exactly where he had come from. Though he could hear that she was tiring. He paused and glanced about spotting the whole in which he crawled out from. "There," he pointed.
"See those bushes? Behind them is this hole with a narrow path." He told her there was some excitement in his voice that he was able to find it.

Sweety Belle beamed a great grin of pride. "Very well done, little one!" she cooed to him in praise and nuzzled him as she paused briefly to catch her breath.
Her eyes skimmed around. Still no movement. Still no sign of any other poke-noodle anywhere. She frowned softly, but her smile lightly returned as she looked at the small poke-noodle beside her. "Come on then..." she cooed again then began treading swiftly towards the hole itself.
Her nose twitched wildly as she approached the bushes. Her wings giving a nervous little flutter as she pressed her feet forward into the tunnel beyond. The darkness within the tunnel was enough to stir her nerves on edge. She swallowed hard and focused, her rump beginning to glow and light the path with it's warm glow. "There now. Just a long harmless tunnel, right?" she churred softly with some slight uncertainty.
Her nose twitched on further. She could smell the little one's vague scent... but only his. No one else had been this way for days and she frowned.
Shaking her head, she turned a saddened gaze towards the numel babe. "I'm sorry, dear..." she started with a faint crack in her voice. "No one's been here for days besides you, I'm afraid..."

Paris nubby little tail wagged as he received praise for finding the entrance. He began following her down the little tunnel and was shocked to find out that the thing on her butt glowed. That was something very strange to him but it was normal for her obviously.
She had stopped at the end of the path where the land spread out and made a platform near the lava. She was sniffing the air though he didn't know why so he continued on to the spot where he had hatched and watched her with curious eyes.
"Just me?" he asked his head tilted to the side and his gaze full of bewilderment. But how could that be? Where was his mother she had to have been there right?

Sweety Belle visibly frowned. Her heart broke for the poor little one. "I believe so, little one..." she partly whimpered. "The smell of sulfur is strong here, but that's because of the lava. It can burn you if you're not careful. But you're the only one I can smell here..."
She made small cautious and ginger steps towards him, obviously weary of the lava nearby. The heat that radiated off of it alone made her nervous for even being this close. She nuzzled him reassuringly. "But I'll take care of you. I promise." She looked over his nest of sorts and sighed. It looked as though no one had tended to it in quite some time. This only disturbed her more... She shook her head and sighed.
"We should go, little one." she started and turned back towards the tunnel. "It's dangerous to stay here." She made quick steps into the tunnel, but stopped to make sure he was following her, waiting for him to catch up before proceeding back towards the bushes.

Piras glanced around looking for a sign that indicated that the nice female was wrong. But it was starting to appear that she was right. He glanced down at his nest that he sat in and wondered why his mother would abandon him. He looked up at the purple lady with big wide eyes and a trembling lip.
He hadn't made a move yet to follower her even though she said the area was dangerous and they couldn't stay there. Or even for the fact that she said he would take care of him. She paused and looked back at him which made him let out a whimper. He didn't want to leave in case his mother came back but there was no food. He stood up and dug at his nest moving things like twigs and leaves aside till he found what he was looking for. He bent down and pulled it out of the pile before turning and heading over to her. In his mouth he carried a good size scrap of a blanket that was in his nest to help keep him warm and something to help soften it.

Her own lip quivered at the sight. How could anyone do such a thing?! That question would haunt her for years to come, she was sure of it.
With her light still brightly glowing, she waited, watching as he dug for something and retrieved a piece of fabric, toting it with him to where she waited.
Once in tow, she proceeded down the tunnel and back into the welcoming cool grasses past the bushes. It was odd at how close two different worlds could be and still keep themselves in the opposites of each other. Hot lava and Cool Grass...
Her bright blue eyes fell upon the little one once more as he followed her out into the open. The two of them would be much the same, she was sure. Two creatures from two different worlds, but no matter the background, no one should have to grow up alone. She smiled faintly and sat beside him, wrapping a paw around him and nuzzling him close.
"I'm sure you Mother has a very good reason to not be here, sweetheart..." she cooed softly, hoping to cheer him up some. "We should head back towards my nest. Night will be upon us soon..." she noted, gazing up at the sky briefly, before turning her attention to the bushes outside the tunnel. "But first..."
She walked back over towards the entrance and began digging a bit into the dirt around the entrance. She then rubbed her body harshly along the walls at the entrance. Once she was satisfied that her scent marked the entrance pretty darn well, she moved back towards the babe and smiled. "There, now she can come looking for us when she gets back." she chuckled faintly then nuzzled him into walking again, beginning the journey back towards where she was foraging before.
"I need a name for you, little one..." she then started. "I'm Sweety Belle. What would you like to be called?"

He nodded his head in hopes that she was right. He sat there and watched as she rubbed all up against the entrance. There was just no way someone could miss the smell of her. Not that she smelt bad or anything but just that it would be overpowering in one concentrated area.
He set is little blanket down on his paws and cleared his voice. "Nice to meet you momma Sweety Bella. Um... Piras?" he didn't know if that was acceptable or not but it was a start.

Sweety Belle opened her mouth as if to protest being called momma, but bit her tongue. Why she had done so, she wasn't even certain, but she did.
She smiled softly and nodded. "Piras..." she noted aloud and thought it over in her thoughts briefly. It was here that the clouds over head began drifting down soft flakes of ash. Grey Snow, as Sweety Belle called it. One of these flakes fluttered down and rested upon Piras' nose. She giggled softly and lifted a paw to help him gently bat it away. "Piras Ash. A bit of a ring to it, I think."
"C'mon, Piras." she started again, turning to continue moving again. "There's a lovely berry bush near to my nest. It'll do you some good to eat a bit, don't you think?"

A smile cracked over the sad numel-noodles face. He liked the sound of the name they have given him and enjoyed the gentle paw when getting the gray fluffy thing off his nose. He was about to object not wanting to make her do any more work like get him food when his tummy loudly protested against it. It was so loud or so he thought that he couldn't help but blush. "Yes please." he said in the most adorable manner.
