Calida lazily flicked her tail while lounging on a tree branch. It was a boring day. She was bored. All her siblings were off doing their own thing, and she didn't feel like playing with them anyways. There had been new babies born recently and some there were a few months old. Maybe she would find some entertainment playing with them... that is if the mother lions didn't snarls at her like what happened last time. Protective instincts someone had explained to her right after the incident. This time she would be careful and ask before doing, she had learned her lesson.
Looking around once more hoping to find something else that would catch her eye to do later on, but no. There was nothing. Shrugging she popped up from her perch and then jumped gracefully to the ground before heading to the den areas.
This was stupid. His siblings were stupid. His mother was stupid. The situation was stupid. Pouting. Romac was pouting THOUGH he would never admit it aloud. Strength was not his strong suit and that is how he found himself pushed aside by many of his fellow siblings trying to get milk and food from his mother. "I'm the genius," He mumbled and grumbled under his breath while watching his siblings fight over their food. "I should get first dibs. " His lopsided frown becoming more pronouced with each passing second. "I was the one who could form sentences and fully understand what was going on waaaay before everyone. "
A bit of food broke free and few landing with a splat on his nose. "EW!" He squealed and batted at his nose to get rid of the offensive mush. "CAREFUL! You know I'm allergic to certain fruits!!" He had learned this the hard way when biting down and getting rashes all over his body for DAYS.
As Calida wandered she moved wiggled to the beat in her own head. She was just about to complete a hard move when the word 'careful' was bellowed out into the silence making her stumble and nearly doing a faceplant. "Whoa. Someone is not happy." She bit her lip as thoughts of turning around and finding else to do crossed her mind. After a few minutes of silence she shrugged and sighed. "I'm here I might as well go see what's going on." Looking cautiously around as she moved further towards the noise, Calida's spotted a mother lion and her cubs during feeding time. Orange eyes caught the mothers and Calida dropped her eyes as too appear non-threatening. A quiet huff made her look up at the acknowledgment. Calida perked up at the thought of playing with babies, it would seem she found the right family this time.
Romac watched as the older reddish cub made her way towards his siblings as well as himself. He rose an eyebrow as she moved slowly towards them. She looked silly; at least to him she did. "Yes? What do you want?" His bluntness, he could tell, startled her. She was not the first to react in such a way as he had done so to many. He thumped his tail impatiently on the ground as he awaited the answer. "I don't have all day you know. I plan to eat and then I have ideas that must be completed in physical form."
Calida came to a stop when a little grey, blue, brown, and black cub snapped at her. He certainly was a grumpy little thing. With one brow raised she answered his question. "I was bored and wanted to come see if any cubs wanted to play or go for walk around. That is if their mother or father agreed." She tilted her head. He was kinda cute if you got past the... blunt attitude. "Wanna play with me? I'm Calida'Zora."
Romac wrinkled his nose at her friendliness. "Play?" He tested the word out before frowning again. "I'm sure my other siblings will gladly..play with you. I for one think playing is meaningless and a general waste of my time not only that but it squanders my thoughts." He waited to see how she would react. Most went away in tears or sometimes to his horror, a brawl. She did neither which surprised him somewhat. She looked... amused. "What?" He spoke in outrage. "What's so funny?"
"I just find it funny that some pipsqueak is trying to act like an adult but is showing signs of childishness. " Calida giggled oblivious to the raging volanco that was Romac about to explode. "Maybe I will go over to your mama and see if your siblings want to play."
Pipsqueak?!? He nearly had a mini-meltdown and he could feel his mini-claws extending. "Grrrr." His blue eyes narrowed as she insulted him. A rival was born this day in Romac's mind. He'd show her what's what when the time came for payback. "I hope one bites you." He mumbled spitfully.
