 Kamryn had just left his little group of friends. He and his sister Mona had been successful in locating their mother and that was an interesting meeting to say the least. It was a little overwhelming for Kam though, he still didn't know what quite to feel about everything which is why he decided that he needed to be like Kai and take some time for himself. Knowing that Thalanir and Cecelia were at Sandar Lake, he decided to head that way. Kam knew that Cecelia had a rocky relationship with her parents as it was complicated too, maybe she could help him out. But he wanted to take his time so he wandered this way and that, slowly making his way.

Hikari looked up at the sky letting her eyes scan it for clouds. She was away from her mother and looking for her father. It had been some time since he last visited so she decided she was going to find him for once. Wouldn’t he be surprised? She giggled at the thought. Her brothers were out and about living their own lives. She wondered if perhaps she shouldn’t have asked Zoy to come along. He was always so protective of her. It made her feel safe and yet she wanted more from life than just being protected by her older brother. Shaking her head she shooed the thoughts and started to run to see where her hooves would take her. Her father was visiting his own mother wasn’t he? Pity she wasn’t quite sure where that was.

Kamryn was lost in his own thoughts of Melody and Cecelia, of Mona, Kai and Kristo as he continued onward. It wasn't until he saw something off in the distance did he start paying attention. His eyes widened as he saw the shape of a beautiful mare off in the distance. Debating on if he should approach her even though she was still somewhat far away. Kam decided to go see if the mare was okay, a mare shouldn't be out here all by herself. Thinking of his sister, he knew what he would do if he ever found out that his sister was roaming around alone. "Excuse me, Miss. Are you okay? It's not often that one sees a mare alone out here. Please don't take that the wrong way..I...I have a sister and I know I would freak out if she was roaming around alone." He stumbled through the last bit quickly hoping she didn't think he was some creep.

(How the blankity blank blank did I miss this tag? I’m sorry dear please feel free to hit me for this. ) Turning her eyes she saw a male coming up toward her. She considered fleeing but only for a moment. If the male was walking toward her and not bothering to conceal himself then why would he attack? She listened to him and thought of her brother Zoy. This was the kind of thing he’d do for sure. Smiling happily at the male she answered back. “I understand. I have a brother who’s a lot like you. I’m doing just fine by myself, but thank you for asking.” Her golden topaz eyes looked the male over quickly. He had bright yellow eyes that looked a bit concerned. His long dark mane and tail were a bit wavy but she had to admit that he was a very handsome male. “umm by the way my name’s Hikari. Is it ok if you tell me yours?” Her smile dimmed a bit as her face took on a more curious look. She didn’t get the chance to meet too many others. If she wasn’t with her mother then she was visiting her brother and aunty Vax.

The stallion smiled gently. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Hikari. My name is Kamryn. I know it may sound odd, but would you like to take a walk with me? I'm currently on my way to Sandar lake where my...somewhat mother and her chosen are. I'm not in any hurry or anything, company might be nice. It's not often that I meet many people, just normally my sister and our somewhat cousins." It was only then that he realized he was babbling. "Excuse my babbling ma'am, I really don't mean to talk your ear off." He said shyly.

Kamryn had a nice smile and a pleasant sounding name. Hikari nodded happily. “I’d love to take a walk with you. While I’m not certain what a somewhat mother is since I have a mother and there’s no somewhat about her I like meeting chosen.” She pranced in place. “Besides I don’t get the chance to talk to too many other Azrien either so please don’t mind me if I talk your ears off too.” Winking at him she laughed. She didn’t mind a good conversation in the least. Besides she liked the sound of the male’s voice. It was soft enough to be pleasant but had a reverberance that made it stick in the mind.

Kam sighed as he took a few steps towards the mare. "Its a long story, but I suppose we have time. My mother is a mare named Melody. My sister and I actually just met her. Our father, heartbroken after my grandmother died. She was one of the Fallen. Anyway...my father, Damir, ran away, heartbroken from his would be lifemate. Where I guess he found Melody and so forth. Melody did not think she was fit to be a mother so my father took us. Cecelia, my father's lifemate now, felt betrayed, and ran away herself. After awhile...she came back though...and they worked it out. So she's...kinda my mother." He finished explaining. The stallion looked awkwardly at the ground, his family was strange, and he knew it. But they were still family.

Keeping an ear cocked to the mare she listened as she started her stroll not really knowing if she was headed in the direction of the lake or not. She knew she was headed to a huge lake that seemed endless to her since she had never been to the other side of it, but she wasn’t sure if it was the Sunder lake the male was headed to. “I’m sorry to hear about your grandmother. I have heard that the fallen were all very brave Azrein. I can’t imagine what it must have been like for your father to lose his mother.” Hikari swallowed imagining her own mother dying. The image was dark and scared her. Felling as shiver race down her spine she banished the image from her mind and moved onto happier thoughts. “I don’t think that Ceclia is sort of your mother in any sense. If she helped to raise you and cares for you like a mother then I think she’s your mother. So you have a birth mother and mother who raised you in addition to your dad.”

"Well...Cece was gone for most of my childhood, but I suppose you're right." Kamryn followed the mare. "The fallen were very brave, to come to the aid of the great Valdien, the King's chosen." Smiling at her, he let her lead even though it was slightly off course, he would side track later.

“Well my father comes and goes when he visits mother, but that doesn’t make him not my father.” She smiled at Kamryn. The smile dampened a bit at the thought of all the deaths that happened that dark day. It was right around the time she was born so she only knew what she was told. “Yes I am certain they were. I wonder how they felt about such things..”

"I'm sure there will be more time for us to dwell on the past, but to be honest, I'd rather focus on something much less upsetting when in your presence. Tell me, Miss Hikari, what is it that you like to do?" Walking on the mare's right, Kam shifted course a little, nudging towards the actual location of the lake. Sorry my replies suck. T.T

“Certainly.” Hikari thought for a moment about things she liked to do while she followed the male’s change of course without even thinking about it. “Well I like to travel and to move. I like to see my older brother Zoy he lives all the way in the city with Aunty Vax and a few others. I like to go see the shops in the city there are tons of things that are always going on. I also like to going running and watching things. You can learn the most amazing things by just watching and listening. What do you like to do?”

Making sure he listened intently, Kamryn kept his ears on her. "I like to go running with my sister and being around my father and his mate's chosen. Thalanir and Kyrielle are really nice, they normally stay with Aila and all three of them care for a whole bunch of us. Sometimes I help out on Aila's farm, and depending on what it is, I think its fun." He said, he hoped he wasn't babbling. Omg I'm so sorry. T.T I'm sorry it took so long for me to reply...

*shrug* It's not a big deal. Life happens ya know? ^.^ Wondering what it was like to work on a farm she had to admit that Kamryn’s voice sounded happy talking about it. “Oh that does sound lovely! I wish I could see it. Unless I’m traveling to the city I never really get to see any farms much less stop by and see what they are really like.” She neighed excited. Her feather in her mane bounced about as she moved. “I bet your family is a lot of fun.”

Kam smiled at her. "It's definitely an interesting one that's for sure. With all the azrein around Aila's farm, there's quite a mix. At least Melody isn't around though." His voice turned somewhat sad with that last part. "I'm sure Aila wouldn't mind if you visited the farm. We could always go straight there instead of stopping by the lake if you'd like." he suggested.
