OOC [ Task of Death: ] The ReapingThis task can be performed SOLO. However, it is recommended to have at least another player. You can do this with a max of three players. They may go anywhere in the Human World using the portal catacombs in the Lair. These catacombs lead to small human world towns only. All players must follow these steps to successfully harvest Fear from death.
gaia_crown [ Step 1: ]
- You reach a quiet town, and the first thing you see is a funeral procession. There is death heavy in the air, but not quite enough for a proper reaping. You will need to create more death.
All humans have 10 HP. The CAN be npced.
- Simply select a human target. If you have two players, you can BOTH attack the target until they die. If three, all three of you attack the target until they die. Use proper dice mechanics (battle dice mechanics), Fear charges CAN be used. - All humans do +4 auto damage, if you are a Death clans member they only do +3 and Death clans members get a +2 attack modifier - HOW IT WORKS: I am a stage 1 horseman. I roll 2d8 and get 4, 5. That means I do 9-8 modifier = 1 damage to the human. That human now has 9 HP. My partner then rolls 2d8 -8 and gets a final damage result of 8. The human is now DYING. Our group has TAKEN DOWN ONE human. We can now target another - Make sure to post in your OOC Tally at the bottom of each post which human number you are on and their current HP as well as how many humans your group has taken down. - When your group has killed AT LEAST 2 humans you can move on to the next phase. You can only take down a MAX of 4.
gaia_crown [ Step 2: ]
- Now it is time to reap, aka, harvest the humans. The atmosphere is just as important as the (dying) human itself, and while it may be nice to gain some additional Fear for Halloween, you have no love for Halloween, and really, there is no reason to add to the ghost population. You are going to do a mock reaping, without fully completing it. You are only harvesting the Fear before the human is entirely passed away.
Roll a 4-sided dice If odd, you harvest 1 Fear point from the body. If even, you harvest 2. You continue to watch and reap in their Fear until they are dead. It is up to you if you want to burn/ destroy/ send off /bury the body or just leave it. - You must do this for EACH victim (per player) you harvest. The Fear amount is different harvested, as it sometimes depends on what the human is exactly going through in their death throes. All humans are npcable/ you can rp/ gm them. Ie: I am player one and we killed three humans. I will roll for human 1, and I roll a 4. 4 = even. I get 2 Fear points. I watch them die. I do this again for human 2, etc etc.

Three students emerged from a nondescript portal at the far edge of a graveyard, trailing footsteps of sand from the hidden lair. The sun had nearly net on this small town, and darkness had begun to settle over the houses and other small buildings clustered together. The three of them had to creep behind tombstones until they found a good vantage point, as well as a view of the closest source of FEAR - a funeral procession. It felt familiar, especially to Night and Aymet. It was the FEAR of death. "Pretty straightforward," the dracolich mused, recalling the basic instructions they were given: bring the humans to the edge of death, and draw out as much fear as possible before they succumbed to their natural weakness. Humans were such fragile creatures, they didn't even dissipate. And nothing seemed to freak them out more than other dead humans - easy enough to see back at the Hunters' portal. If even they were susceptible to that, these regular humans would be mortified. Hah. This would be even easier than regular scaring. "First, we need to find our targets." Aymet glanced down at his softly glowing gem. It couldn't have been more than a day or two since Medea had crystallized a piece of their core, and he was already impatient to find out how they could stop the hunters with them. "Time to see what these Fragments can do, huh?"

Night popped out of the portal with a soft thud of his feet on the ground. Night, much like his namesake, was starting to fall in as the sun set. The line of light was a small reminder of that soon, their time would come to begin their little duties.
To be honest, Night didn't see anything wrong with the task. He was drawn, much like Aymet to the stench of death, the FEAR of losing the light humans treasure so much. What was death though, Night mused but another life. He would know, he is a ghost.
"Do we wait or attack all at once?" Night's eyes glowed a eerie green, his ear flicking back and forth as he took in the sounds. Beyond the people at the funeral, he didn't pick up on more then a few loose humans. Paying tribute to their dead ones. How much was a tribute when you looked at your dead one and thank their gods that it wasn't them lying in that coffin.
"I'm not for kids, Their FEAR wouldn't be enough to sustain us." Night crossed his arms and grinned a cat's feral smile. He managed to pull his out the same time as Aymet though, tapping the shard to his side. Crystallized pieces of their core at their disposable.
"How about that weepy looking woman? She's shifting her eyes and body so much, she can't even stay still for a funeral." Night locked on to the woman, who jumped as if sensing eyes on her and looked around. Fear poured off her for some reason though.

Remi loped out of the portal and landed with a thump of his human-like feet on the soft hallowed grounds of the graveyard. His hands were shoved into his pockets where the fresh, gleaming, matching highlighter orange fragment lay. He had yet to get the object set in any sort of jewelry, still deciding on what exactly he wished it to be. Dual toned eyes flicked towards the funeral procession as the trio of them snuck around. Remi felt it awkward being in this human like form, being 6'2" tall did not help with the sneaking department. Though in the end he felt it would be easier to hide in the corner of their eyes in a human-esk form than a huge dog like fox with 6 tails. "I say we all target one together, and then move on to another." It seemed logical, target one, take them down, target another. His eyes watched the humans move around, mourning... he did not feel the call of the death fear, it was something that the other two here felt. He instead looked at them, and saw sheep. Humans were cattle to him, nothing more than meat and fear to sustain their world. "The pups would also be more protected." He of course, meant the children. As Night pointed out the elderly one, the primal part of his heart nodded a few times. Like a pack attacking a herd, you go for the elderly and weak first. "She seems scared enough, who are we to leave those fears un-replied to?" He could feel his own cheshire worthy grin forming. These past two days since his own decision to join the horsemen had changed him, he was...still himself. The same, smart assed fox whom would probably not want to join a battle if he knew the odds we against him. No he was not death like these other two, but like a good kitsune he did like to play with his food.
