Observations of Alzheimer's patients' brains have found extremely high levels of aluminum. Scientists now believe that a connection is probable.

The question is, how does the aluminum get there? Cooking with aluminum pans, some antacids contain aluminum, anti-persperents often contain aluminum, etc...

Nothing is conclusive yet, but it looks like a really strong correlation. Kuku says you should look through anything you put in or on your body (or that goes near your food) for aluminum and get rid of it. Your mind is your most important asset. Your top priority should be to protect its health.

Why did no one respond to this? This is a spectacular post, thank you for it.
I've lost two grandparents in the last year and will be losing another within the next week, and each suffered greatly from Alzheimer's before they passed. I'm most surely one of those girls who cherished her grandparents probably more than her typical parentals. It's a tough disease to grasp and live through, and I most certainly appreciated the sharing of facts you did with us.

My ex lost one of his grandfathers to Alzheimers. There's no one in my family with it, but we think my grandpa might get it eventually.

Thank you very much for your comment smile I guess it's mostly that the bulk of visitors to this guild are of younger stock and perhaps haven't really started to worry about mortality yet.

I am very sorry for your grandparents. Alzheimer's affects so many of us, yet we know so little about it. I haven't had anyone in my family with it, but I have had some great uncles who have suffered strokes. So I know what it can be like to love someone who doesn't remember who you are.

I hope your grandparent passes peacefully and happily, surrounded by family and loved ones smile

This is pretty old news, though. I mean ... I remember hearing about it 15 years ago (and switching my deodorant to ... I think Degree for Women back in the day). Not that it's not important to know, but it's not really 'breaking' news anymore, I guess.

That said, the aluminum has to get into your blood stream, which it can't really do easily even with cooking pans etc. You can get it in your body without it being absorbed into your blood.
