After visiting Riley, Malodore lingered in the Bogeyman headquarters. There was something else it had brought, tucked into one sleeve: a duplicate of its research, carefully copied into a fresh notebook... and carefully censored. The mention of specific students was removed; it would not betray Jericho or Ashford to the Bogeymen. Red was the only subject whose observations remained in their entirety. She was gone, after all, and could no longer be harmed... "I wish to speak with Sinclaire, please," it informed its Bogeyman escort. "I have some information she wished me to bring to her, and I will give it into her hands only." lizbot As promised~! This happens prior to Defenders pt. 2 btw.

The se4cretaries had been busy and ready to just wave the Plague Doctor along, but that last piece of information and them swiveling their heads in tandem and eyeing the creature up and down.
"Oh, is that so?"
"You know she's just on retainer here, right?"
"Extra special..."
"...confidential..."
"...need to know..."
"...eye-only..."
"....deliveries, require..."
A stack of paperwork appeared. and they finished in unison, "...you to fill these out in triplicate."

Malodore pulled out a pen with a flourish. "As they say, bring it," it said, though the words sounded odd in its beak, as if it were highly unaccustomed to such things.
... The paperwork took a while, as they had indeed brought it.

Eventually Malodore was allowed to pass and was given vague, fairly unhelpful direction to Sinclaire's current office. The office was more of a large closet, it's previous occupant having been a gnome. Scrunched down behind the tiny desk, the succubus was caught up in a number of charts, odd drawings of even odder structures, and some form of personal math to rival the most obscure realms of alchemy. There were several pens stuck behind both ears, and one currently trying to wriggle out of her hair.

Malodore was confused to find Sinclaire - whom it had assumed was a high-ranking, respected scientist - crammed into a tiny space, far better suited to a menial servant than a scholar. "They do you a great disservice," it said, the frown audible in its voice. "Ah... that is to say, may I speak to you for a moment? I have brought the information you requested. My apologies for the delay. Things are... complicated."

The succubus looked up and gave it a wry smile, "Things are almost always complicated when one thing or another. Hu...Halloween just can't help spawning more and more complex systems into our daily lives." She lifted an eyebrow and nodded at Malodore, "Living or no. Thank you for bringing your research, just set it on the desk." She set down her pen and looked at the student, fingers crossed, "If there anything you feel best explained verbally, or wish to ask me? Information doesn't have to be a one-way street, though of course, I won't be sharing anything considered classified." She gave it a smile, bright and sharp against redred lips, along with an expectant look. sosiqui FFFFF SORRY I FORGOT ABOUT THIS AND THEN WAS ALL SLUMPED FOR A BIT!

Malodore obediently placed its notes on the desk as directed. "That is all I, myself, have learned - though I am sure it is a pittance compared to your own knowledge, there may be small aspects I may have seen from a different angle, or different modes of thinking that may be useful to you." It paused, then, thinking of how to best use the opening she'd given it. "I... suppose I would inquire... how you brought her back, though I'm quite certain that's classified," it said, wryly. "If you have any hypotheses about how the infection begins, perhaps? I have gained very little on that score. The infection and spread seems almost entirely random. Science... is not random." That disapproving tone was back. lizbot uuuugh I'm sorry this got lost during my inadvertent illness-hiatus, are you still interested in continuing? also the research contains all of this, neatly laid out, with mentions of the Hunters removed (since the Bogeymen were suppressing that information) and any information on subjects other than Riley and Red removed as well. It also does not say anything about Malodore's own Immunity.
