While Rosie didn't have much of a steady routine now a days. Training her pokemon never took a back seat of course, but with the new spread of hope from the League, Rosie had been using her free time to do what she could to keep in contact with as many trainers as she could, and up to news.
The growing uncertainty and the unknown of the future kept things pretty stressful, though the young blond was good about channeling it into a more positive means. As she usually did.
Today though, Rosie had decided to let herself take a little break, take a little time for herself, and visit someone she hadn't seen in a long time... Her mother.
The memorial park was always quiet, and thought sad, with a seemingly endless spiral of memorial stones rolling through the sweeping grass hills, it was still so beautiful here.
The young trainer sat, with her legs pulled elegantly to her side, nestled comfortably in the grass, and allowing her to face a beautiful marble tombstone. Her fingers lightly traced the letters of the name engraved into its dark surface, blue eyes trailing after the notches "Kathryn Ewell"
"-I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with Pop yet, I don't know if she's really ready for me to be her trainer, But I'm doing my best, I promise I won't give up on her." Rosie was speaking, as if holding a conversation. a small smile tugged at her lips. "I think the others are doing very well, I hope you think so too~ I'm always so amazed with how hard they work, and I know that its becasue everything you taught me when I was growing up, I'm now teaching to my pokemon." She tilted her head, eyelids drooping a little "And I won't let anything happen to any of them..."

It hadn't been too difficult. Looking up one Rosie Ewell and all the information he had gathered was fairly simple. She was just a rather ordinary girl that happened to be a trainer. It hadn't taken him long for him to figure out her habits and the fact that she visited a local cemetery every now and then, which is where he caught her now. A perfect place away from the bustle of the general public. A place where he could do this and hopefully not be seen or bothered.
Asch was dressed in simple, casual attire. Blue jeans, a t-shirt, sneakers, something that was expected for a boy his age. He looked fairly average, despite the fact that there was another walking around that looked just like him.
The wind on the hill tousled his grievously short hair, green eyes staring as he watched the girl talk to a slab of stone. It was stupid really, to think that a dead person could hear her. But the sight didn't go without tugging at his own heartstrings, bringing up thoughts of his own mother whom he hadn't seen in many years. Yet Asch's face was set in a cool expression.
He turned away, stepping behind a memorial wall as he took out a Luxury ball and pressed the release trigger.

She wasn't put into her ball very often, when she was, it was usually becasue Asch was going to need to keep her out of the way, keep her safe, or didn't want her to escape.
It had been a long time now that she had first been taken into Asch' ownership, since then she had learned a great deal about the young man, and his pokemon. And white she didn't exactly like what he had done to her, she had grown to know the young man as a good person... a good person who made terrible terrible and very stupid mistakes, but all the same... mistakes that she hoped one day he could overcome... maybe someday.
She expected to be released into the room again, where she was usually let out of, but this time, as the light broke away, the Veporeon felt warmth on her skin, and a breeze helping to fan out her fins. Large golden eyes opened, her wide surprised stare found Asch, before she glanced around, confused and curious.
She hesitated... Vany'n recognized this place. Instantly her head jerked back up to Asch, fins splayed... "Vapoor...."
And then it reached her, a voice drifting with the gentle wind. a voice she had only heard in her dreams for so long. Vahy'n froze in disbelief.

Asch watched Vahy'n in silence for a moment. He half expected her to run, to make a mad dash for his true owner when she heard the voice. When she didn't, the boy knelt down, his expression carefully guarded. Yet as he placed his hand on the Pokemon's head, it spoke volumes, for him at least. After a couple strokes of her fins, he took the Vaporeon into his arms, holding her carefully as he stood.
While she had gotten to know him, Asch had gotten to know this Pokemon as well. Yes he had made terrible mistakes, yes he had gotten himself in too deep into something he couldn't back out of. But he was no heartless monster, as much of a front as he put up, and how he wanted people to believe that he was.
This was... difficult. In more ways than one. And he mentally cursed himself for not being stronger.
His arms tightened around Vahy'n for a moment. He didn't have to do this. He could just leave and that girl would be none the wiser. And yet, he knew he had to. The boy set his jaw rigidly, turned, and stepped out from behind the wall. He paused again, green eyes watching the girl who had so brazenly spoken to him in the hospital. He didn't understand how she could have said what she did. Her pleas and offers for help. She should hate him, and he wouldn't blame her in the least. It was stupid. She was stupid.
Asch was trained to be stealthy and silent, and thus as he finally started to walk towards her, his steps were careful and quiet. He didn't want to startle her, but he didn't want her aware of his presence just yet.

The sheer unexpected nature of this event brought to light a great deal of fear, and sadness to the vaporeon, while every inch of her heart was telling her to run to Rosie, her body was stiff, and still.
Letting out a soft squeak when she was suddenly scooped up, the Vaporeon looked up at the boy now carrying her. golden eyes blinking as she walked her out toward where Rosie's voice was coming from.
The soft voice continued. getting louder as Vany'n was carried. And then she saw her. the blond hair of the young trainer that she had been taken from so long ago.
She was as bright as ever, dressed nicely, and talking just as sweetly. but Vany'n could tell that the young girl had done some growing since she had been taken away, she couldn't pin point it, but perhaps it was in the way her eyes looked, or the way she carried herself.
Vany'n eyes grew wide, unable to hold back her cried as she let out a long shrill call to the girl, happier then she could express to see Rosie again.
Rosie had not been expecting a loud noise, and the cry and caused the girl to jump. but she knew that voice from anywhere, and in an instant the trainer was on her feet, turning as she went. And here was where she froze, blue eyes wide, mouth ajar with shock and hesitance. There, was Asch, the Rocket that had gotten away from them, someone she could never let herself confuse for Luke again and in his arms, was Vany'n. Vany'n called out again, but Rosie seemed to not know what to do, seeming torn between reaching for a ball on her belt, and running over to the Vaporeon.

Asch's expression remained unreadable as Vahy'n cried out and Rosie noticed. When the girl turned around, the red head stopped and stood there with a few feet between them. The fact that she was reaching for a ball didn't go unnoticed.
"I'm not here to fight you," he said with an edge to his voice. And he stared at her with his hard green eyes for several moments, still clinging to Vahy'n. As the Vaporeon called out again, his eyes tilted down towards her.
It was clear where she belonged.
Bending down, Asch set Vahy'n back on the ground again, letting her go.

The moment Vany'n paws touched the grass, the Vaporeon took off, darting as quickly as she could to the blond girl, standing by the grave of her late trainer. Vany'n didn't have to jump up to meet Rosie, as the girl had dropped to her knees, arms open to catch the Vaporeon.
Words couldn't be expressed through the reuniting, just the girl's sobs as she buried her face into the Vapreon's neck.

Asch watched this reunion for a few moments in silence. Even though his face remained stonily impassive, a flood of thoughts and feelings was flowing through him.
However, he soon closed his eyes and turned on his heel. The red head starting to walk off back in the direction in which he had come. He had done what he'd came to do. There was no sense in lingering.

Rosie couldn't believe this was actually happening, hoping this wasn't just one of her dreams again, But the warmth of Vany's body and the nuzzling of her cold nose told her that it wasn't.
After a short time, the trainer lifted her head again, sniffing and blinking through blurry eyes, to see the man who had brought Vany'n here was walking away.
"W-wait." She stammered, pushing herself to her feet.

He heard her voice, and against his better judgement, he stopped and turned just enough to glance over his shoulder at Rosie.
Asch mentally screamed at himself to just keep going. He didn't need or want to hear what she had to say. And yet his feet wouldn't move.
He said nothing though, and simply waited to hear what she wanted to say.

Her pink and white form had pulled herself back up to her full height, though a hand was kept tucked against the cheek of the striped Vaporeon, brushing away tears from the golden eyes as they flowed down her cheek. Rosie herself had to flick away her own tears, clearing up her vision as much as she could.
He had stopped, he didn't turn around though, that was okay.
"Asch, this is an act of kindness and mercy, I can't even begin to express how thankful I am" Her voice was weak and on the verge of crying again, but she kept it together. "But... why?"
She hated saying it like that, but her jumbled mind wouldn't let her word it any other way. She knew he could get in trouble, she knew that he probably didn't like them all very much. so why would he risk this?

Hmph. Of course, he should have expected as much. Asch didn't comment on her observation and thankfulness. No, he went straight for the question.
"Does it matter? If you're going to start questioning it, I can just change my mind."
His voice was definitely of his usual irritability and impatience. Not that he actually planned to take her back, though. In other words, shut up I don't want to talk about it.
