Which ones can't die? I know Cicero, the argonian guy (forgot his name) and Mjoll the lioness can't die, but is there any more?
Edit: I forgot to add Sarana

The game treats permanent followers in a similar way to essential NPCs, but still allowing the possibility of their death. When your follower would die due to an enemy attack or a trap, they will be incapacitated for some time and begin to recover their health, just like essential NPCs; enemies will stop attacking or targeting them during this time. However, if they lose all their health again during this period, they will die for good. Thus, you should try to move the fight away from them, so that they are not hit by a stray arrow or area-effect spell. They can also die from enemy power-attacks, or from a damage-over-time effect that is stronger than their health recovery.
If you strike your follower dead, on the other hand, there is no recovery. Attack carefully when your follower is low on health. Follower death caused by you, even accidentally, counts as murder on your crimes list.

I know, but I tend to spam power attacks because I dual wield and it gives off awesome damage. I sometimes happen to kill any friendly NPC that is near me accidentally. It doesn't tell me if they are essential NPC or not. plus, when I fight I am VERY un-aware of my surroundings XD

AH! I had that problem as well, comes with being a mage. That's why I tended to have a follower that was also a Mage type that way we wouldn't get in each others way. Though at time the crazy follower would shoot me in the back with their spells whenever I tried to get close to an enemy.
After awhile I just stopped having a follower, they got in the way too many times. I guess you could just save your game and then go down the list and try to kill each one and see who's made of the tough stuff and who is not?

I had the quest to "recruit" new blades and I never went though with it. I could not kill Parth just to satisfy the needs of an ancient and quite frankly a defeated group of "body guards"

Lol, I would keep him alive too but I am playing an empire-loyal character (Who ironically, killed the emperor for the D.B) and The Blades are a part of such empire. razz

I was a loyal Dunmer too...err I don't think loyal would be the right words. He care's nothing about the human Empire, just that the Thalmor are a disgrace to every Mer alive. As for the D.B I've killed them off as well, they too were just a shadow of what they used to be, and its their own fault.
