Its the wild west. I think Lady Robayn left out a specific time to keep from restricting some ideas. different times would bring different technologies into play and different fire arms. Not giving a date means just make it feel like a western.
Six shooters, saloons, Native Americans out on the open plains, famous outlaws like Jesse James and billy the kid, and famous lawmen like White Earp and Bat Masters.

hmm naw, not really a research required genre c: since the timeline is very vague, just about anything "western" will pass just think lots of horses, gun fights, saloons & whiskey
or you could watch this pretty awesome movie called The Quick and the Dead. That'll pretty much sum up any number of character ideas!

Gots to go old school, like Good the bad and the Ugly. Clint Eastwood's character in that movie was the bases for Boba Fett, so good Star Wars trivia too.
Tombstone is a good one...or is it White Earp...the one with Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday.
I'm a Lone Ranger fan myself, but I bet that doesn't surprise anyone does it lol.

See... I have at least a little bit of knowledge of Tes' taste so that is why I suggested the Quick and the Dead.
I could almost guaruntee she wouldn't enjoy the old school ones. I don't even enjoy them :/

Sorry, gotta go with Ronyo on this one. Classic Westerns like Tombstone (the one with Val Kilmer) and The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Are totally worth watching for westerns. Oh! And anything John Wayne. John Wayne is classic western to it's mightiest definition.

lol doesn't scare my Eva. She is kind to everyone. Besides if your character runs the general store kind hard not to go in. Besides you know me, I don't mind a little talk a little romance in my roleplaying wink
