It wasn't like she meant to stop patrolling, or powering up as Serpentarius. It wasn't that she meant to drop off the face of Destiny City either. It just came down to the fact of this, she was on her own now. Trying to prove to not only her family, but to herself that she could do this. That she was an adult.
Having finished her final year at Crystal Academy, she decided she would rather stay in the city, then return home to England. Her life was so different from when she first came to the city.
With a sigh, she lifts her arms above her head, finding herself bored and remembering why she always did this with a partner. She thought for a moment, about her cousin. She hadn't really seen her since she left the Blood Moon Court, so she couldn't help but wonder if she was okay.
Pausing for a moment, she decided it would be better if she just took to the rooftops, then actually walk around. Leaping, she lands with a light thud. Pushing her blond hair from her face, she just sat there, her green eyes taking in the street below.
Nothing, seem tonight would probably be a calm one for the Senshi of Snakes. Too bad, she was really hoping to see some action, after all, she was really out of touch with this side of herself.

"Someone's out awfully late. Where are you off to, young lady?"
A sultry voice lilted from the darkness of a nearby, the arc of moonlight revealing a tall and lanky figure. He had hair of scarlet and he seemed to be disinterested in the senshi of snakes. He walked along the roof, foot over foot, watching her out of the corner of his eye. Could he handle one by herself? Maybe. "You do know it's way past your bedtime, right? I can escort you home if you like."
A hand extended. "You can call me Carnelian."
There was an apparent hole in his head and chest, something deep and dark twinkling inside. It was his starseed, blackened by corruption. He didn't think so, no - Carnelian considered himself enlightened and saved from the spell of Queen Serenity. No, he didn't follow her. He followed a different queen entirely.

Serpentarius turns her head slowly, hearing the voice behind her. Her eyes narrow as she looks at the senshi. He was one, but at the same time, he wasn't. Looking to the big hole in his chest, she took a step back for a moment. He didn't attack her, so maybe that was a good thing.
"Serpentarius, Senshi of Snakes."
Looking down at his hand, she didn't take it. She knew better when it came to them. Instead she just nods her head in respect before she took a quick glance behind her. She was far to close to the ledge, which could mean serious trouble for her.
Turning back towards the other senshi, she chews on her bottom lip for a moment "May I ask what you want, and why you think its pass my bedtime Carnelian?" she kept her guard up for now, her hands down at her side.
She wouldn't think twice about using her powers on him.

Ooh, snakes.
Carnelian was glad he wasn't Indiana Jones right now.
Anyway.
The corrupted senshi shrugged nonchalantly. The less threatening he seemed, the better. He'd gotten the jump on a few senshi before and gotten praised for it. Euclase was particularly happy with her man actually doing something for once and damn did he like the type of praise he got from Euclase. No senshi could do that to him and get away with it. But he was getting ahead of himself. Maybe later tonight. After this.
"Senshi just shouldn't be out this late. There are bad things that roam these streets, you know. Youma, Negaverse generals with big sharp weapons, senshi that are on their side... Like me."
Carnelian didn't give her much time to run, for he was off like a twisted Pepe Lepew, bounding after her with a grin on his face Euclase would have loved.

Serpentarius didn't even have time to jump, or prepare herself. He was already pretty much on top of her. All she could do was bring her hands up as if to protect her face.
What he didn't realize, was this was the start of her attack. A bright glow of green forms around her hands, her eyes locked on him before she pulls them back. A snake form between them "Serpent's Kiss!" throws the snake right towards his chest, she held a wicked grin herself.
"Hasn't the Negaverse told you, never trust a senshi when they are alone? Some of us have a rather nasty bite."
She watch as the snake flew towards his chest, hoping it would sink its teeth and slow him down for the next thirty seconds. This would give her enough time to get out of his way, and get in a few hits.

Carnelian wasn't prepared for a serpentine assault. The hissing started and the corrupted senshi skidded to a halt, snakes all up in his grill. He tried to keep from screaming or looking at all worried. In fact, he tried to look like he expected it! Alas, it all failed and the redhead ended up flailing to try and get the damned things off. Fangs bit down right into his cheek and Carnelian started swearing, spewing words he didn't even know he knew.
"#%#$ %#$^*# #$%$&^ &^#$^#!@$!!!!"
Tossing the snake aside, the corrupted senshi started to go after his prey again, but found himself lethargic. His legs wouldn't move at the speed he knew they possessed. What happened? Did the snake poison him? Damned White Moon Senshi! Carnelian would have his revenge! ....or he call Euclase and Euclase would have her revenge!
Either way!
"Hey! Get back here!" he yelled, trying desperately to catch up to the little serpent. Was she close enough for an attack? Hmm...

Serpentarius took the fact her snake got it's target to her advantage. Jumping over him, she lands behind him before she turns. Lucky for him, she wouldn't be able to use her power again for at least a few minutes. With a chuckle, she brings her fist up to block her face "Wow, that was rather interesting words coming from your mouth. Not liking my little snake friend? Cause he seems to love you."
With that, she charges him, her fist swinging towards his face. She knew she had about five seconds left before he would be able to move again. She just hope that she could hold him off, until she was able to either get away, or attack him again.

The corrupted senshi tried to back up and away from the fist, but the effects of the venom slowed him down enough that the punch was unavoidable. Serpentarius scraped his face and caused his incisor to cut his lip, a tiny stream of blood coming from his mouth now. Carnelian was not pleased. There were certain things he hated and they were split ends, broken nails, rude customers, a depressed girlfriend and bleeding.
"You'll pay for that." he growled and readied his attack now that his limbs felt normal. Stupid senshi. He readied himself.
"Pain." came the whisper and beads of energy formed around Serpentarius. He hoped beyond hope she'd be confused enough to stay still, allowing the attack to hit her. But what happens after that? What would he do? Drain her? Choke her? Throw her off the... Ohhh that might work.

Serpentarius blinks a few times, as she barely heard what Carnelian spoke. He said pain right? So why hadn't he attacked her? She didn't realize until it was to late, as her eyes settle on the beads of magic forming around her. Just as she went to leap into the air, she felt it. Pain, describable pain in her left leg.
Looking up towards him, she felt her leg give way as she fell to her knees. It was like gymnastics all over again, and all she wanted to do was cry. Chewing on her bottom lip hard, she was trying not to curse.
Okay, so never underestimate a senshi even on the side of Chaos. They still have one hell of a hit.

Well, now she was right where he wanted her.
And he hand no idea what to do. What would Euclase do?
Carnelian pondered for a bit while Serentarius lay helpless, casually walking towards her. Her body was squirming as she tried to get up, to get away. Then it hit him! With a crooked smile, the corrupted senshi stood beside his White Moon counterpart and... brought a swift football-style kick to her side, trying to punt her straight off the building to the concrete below.
Euclase would have been so proud.
Calling down to her, his voice lilted, almost sing-song. "You know, you could escape a great deal of this pain and suffering if you opted to join our ranks instead. We're in the right, you know. You know it in your heart, Serpentarius. There is no Serenity to save you~"

Every part of Serpentarius hurt beyond reason.
Laying on the ground below, she tries to move once to feel pain rip through her body. She was pretty sure the fall did some damage, if not broke a bone of two. Trying to catch her breath, her lungs felt like they were on fire having the air knocked out of them. Slowly opening her eyes, she instantly regrets that as she see the world around her spinning.
There is no Serenity to save you~
He was right, from day one she never believe in this moon princess. If she was here, she wouldn't allow this to happen to her, yet she wasn't. So in all honesty, why was she fighting on her side?

Her cousin, the one rock in the mess of this war. And her brother, she was fighting for them. Sitting up slowly, she instantly winces as her hand goes to her side "Just because I don't believe in her, doesn't mean I will give into you so easily." standing, she felt another pain surge right through her leg, causing her to drop to one knee.
"You have to take a person while they are at their worse. Your chaos is sad, you don't talk, you just beat the crap out of someone until they submit."

Carnelian scoffed and dropped easily down to where the senshi landed, his coat furling in the wind. He had to suppress a squee of glee. If only Euclase could see him now! She'd be so proud! The corrupted senshi of pain finally felt like he was worth something! Like he could actually accomplish something for the Negaverse, just like Euclase did.
"Who said we take people at their worst? People have come to us willingly, you know. Lyra came. She was very powerful but felt so alone on the side of the White Moon. There's no one to turn to but yourself." His voice was smooth, eerily calm and inviting. "With us, you have a family. You have a safety net, you have protection. The White Moon lets you loose in the city without any idea of who or what you fight for. You're a lost lamb."
He didn't make any moves towards her. In actuality, he didn't want another snake to the face.

Serpentarius eyes narrows at the name Lyra. No, there was no way.....
"Your lying about Lyra..." as much as she didn't want to believe him, something inside her knew he might be telling the truth. She didn't see her around, and she thought she heard rumors of this after the huge operation the blood moon court was apart of.
As he spoke, she felt as if he knew all to well what she was dealing with. She had her family, but at the same time she felt very much alone. The blood moon court seem dead, as no meeting had been called for months now.
His words, they were tempting.
Shaking her head, she glares at him as she attempts to stand again. This was quickly stopped as she felt the pain rack through her body once more. If she could, she throw another snake in his face, but with the pain she knew she wouldn't be able to.
"You can talk all you want Carnelian, but I'm not biting into your lies."

The redhead frowned and stepped a bit closer. What? She doubted him about Lyra? Why, he and Lyra were related, and by that extension, he and the General King were related. Didn't she know who she was talking to? Ugh. Carnelian sighed and tilted his head, crossing his arms in disappointment. "Well, if you don't believe me, ask around. Long red hair, green eyes. Nebulas, I think. And I wouldn't know that unless I knew her, right? She's a very sweet girl. Love her to death."
He shifted his weight from side to side, neither moving forward or back. Not threatening, just speaking. Just tempting. "Oh I know I can talk all I want, but it's very easy to verify. A great deal of senshi know how the Negaverse works. You know how organized it is, how our side wins. We're supportive to each other. That's the truth and you know it. It's not necessarily a bad thing to admit that I'm right, you know."

Serpentarius didn't want to believe him, yet he knew she was the Senshi of Nebulas. This cause her stomach to twist into several knots as she watches him. She couldn't stop herself, from showing even a small ounce of fear as she bites on her bottom lip hard.
He was right, in everything he was saying. She heard it through several people how well the Chaos work so well. And now, here he was proving it once more as he caught her completely off guard.
Grinding her teeth together, she force herself to get up. Even with her left knee screaming in pain at her, she still got to a standing position. She knew she wasn't gonna win this fight, but she be damned if she allowed him to get away without some damage.
"If your Chaos is so much better, go back to it." with that, she lunges at him trying to throw another punch to his face.
